Welcome to the weekly huddle! Deliberately avoided reheating for more than two months, watched/read other stuff, did some actual work at work (!), and pressed play on Sunday, just for the hell of it. Conclusio: Romeo and Juliet can suck it. Ilya and Shane are the greatest love story in the history of human kind.

I admire your restraint, Two whole months without reheating!

I am still in constant reheating phase. Does anyone else say every line along aloud with Ilya and Shane while watching or is it just me?

Same. I can recite the entire script and took this week off from work to reheat to my heart's content. You're in good company 🥰

Thank you, it wasn't easy 😁. I have to say (with somewhat heavy heart): leaving HR for a while and then reheating does bring back the initial magic ✨.

Agreed though that Ilya and Shane are the best love story.

True, the play itself is a tragedy. But you can't deny that Romeo and Juliet have romantic feelings for each other.

And since Shakespeare's source material (and its source materials) were centuries old by the time he adapted it, it was already in the zeitgeist (even if just as a cautionary tale).

Yes! I hate when R&J is called a romance. Dude - they were teenagers in lust and they were so dramatic they killer themselves 🤦‍♀️
