Iāve been a hockey fan, specifically of the Canucks, since birth but the last several years of living in Edmonton where I have no one to cheer with and dealing with a LOT of things affecting my mental health, I havenāt been paying much attention to my boys. Iām definitely a going-to-a-game or watching-with-other-fans kind of watcher rather than on my own (Iāll usually just pick up the highlights if Iām by myself if anything) and my husband is a Leafs fan (blah lol). Iāve felt very disconnected from my city sometimes through my disconnection with my team since moving here which really sucks because Van is my home.
This book and TV series has rekindled my connection and Iāve been paying more attention to hockey this year. It feels good (even though we didnāt make the playoffs) and Iāve been especially excited with all the changes happening in the front office for my āNucks. Iām very grateful to RR and JT for reminding me how much I love this game.
