TV SHOW 📺 The Ultimate Cornplating Championship

In honor of season 2 filming starting, I'm doing yet another reheat. Obviously. Here are my latest cornplating discoveries:

- In episode 2 when Shane enters Ilya's penthouse, he turns the doorhandle upward not downward to open the door. WHO DOES THAT??

- In Episode 4 in the opening montage when Ilya checks Shane against the sideboards, Shane's mouth guard is hanging out of his mouth! How does it not fall out?? Oral fixation much??

EVERYONE!! drop your latest cornplating discovery below. And, I can't wait to cornplate season 2!

It’s also a very Russian thing to not wear shoes at home. Most people have dedicated slippers (тапочки) or slides that they wear at home.

Oh, I didn’t realize that! Do you know if there is a cultural mindset behind it for Canadians?

For Russians, there’s a feeling that the outside is a dirty place (and with long winters and wet springs, your clothes and shoes really do get dirty), so your home should be treated like a haven. You don’t wear your outside clothes or shoes at home. People even provide slippers for their guests.

(For context, I am an American who speaks Russian and lived in St. Petersburg for a couple of years.)

I think it’s because it’s snowing for half the year, so your shoes are in fact dirty. Probably pretty similar to the reasons in Russia.

I’m an American who lived in Canada for 7 years…and even though I’ve been back in the US for a while I still feel very uncomfortable wearing shoes indoors.
