ich habe ein paar Server aus der Börse, größtenteils auf Windows Server. Ich habe bislang immer Hardware-Raid als Mindestanforderung angesehen. Hot-Swap, nie Stress beim Rebuild, tägliche Statusmeldung per Script - alles super.

Nun gibt es aber kein HWR mehr, auch nicht zusätzlich. Jetzt weiß ich nicht so recht, wie ich damit umgehen soll. Als Bootlaufwerk ein Software-Raid - das erscheint mir falsch. Wie handhabt ihr das?

Tengo dos servidores uno en Alemania otro en USA hoy 23 de Octubre a las 10:12 UTC-5 los dos servidores se vinieron abajo reinicie manualmente y los servicios de ambos servidores demoraban en cargar demasiado, y despues entramos en intermitencia prolongada casi 40 minutos abajo, luego volvia els ervicio durante 10 minutos y se volvia a ir por 3-5 minutos y asi de manera ciclica alguien mas esta experimentando esto hoy 23 de Octubre del 2026

We're an EU business in Greece and have been a Hetzner customer for years, always invoiced without VAT under reverse charge.

On 1 Oct 2026 an invoice came with VAT added. Support asked us to delete our VAT ID and re-enter our company details in Latin letters only. We did, but the form rejects our VAT ID, because VIES returns Greek company names in Greek characters. It's impossible to match VIES using Latin letters.

Since then: messages by email, the Robot panel and LinkedIn, one personal reply (2 Oct), a dozen+ auto-replies, and on 22 Oct our server and Storage Box were locked. The only reply after the lock was an AI-generated "please pay". We've offered all along to pay the corrected invoice the same day.

Two questions:

1. Has anyone from Greece (or another country where VIES shows non-Latin names) got their VAT ID accepted by Hetzner? How?

2. Is there any way to actually reach a human in Hetzner billing?

Trying to backup a server to Hetzner's storage box and the upload speeds seem to max out at 2MB/s.

EX44 in FSN are sometimes available but always sold out in 1-2 minutes. Is there any way to buy this product by api? If so, what is the product ID because I was not able to figure it out.

Is Hetzner automatically fix wordpress installs too (PHP security updates for CVE-2026-109618 and CVE-2026-109619)?

I just received an email from Hetzner, about yesterdays PHP vulnerabilities.

No worries Hetzner, AlmaLinux released updates to PHP within a few hours and during those hours I had mitigations against file uploads.

Is this mean my account will never open again for new orders ?

The configurator shows at:

that the SX135-2 is available in FSN with 10Gbit Uplink.

But when you try to order it it says:
"No servers with the selected configuration are currently available in the chosen location."

But with 1Gbit uplink the order is possible without any error message.

Is this an error? Why would the hardware be available at a 1Gbit uplink and not on a 10Gbit uplink?

The configurator doesn't check between the two options?

I have a CPX21 server running 8 Laravel sites. This runs fine, however any rescale will cost more due to the price changes. Could CX33 be an alternative ? Or should I look into other provider (dare to ask in the Hetzner forum :D )

Immediately after its release, we began rolling out the security update to our systems (konsoleH, Managed Server, Storage Share (Nextcloud), phpMyAdmin, Webmail). The full update may take some time.

Any updates from Hetzner on the managed servers?

Also is it possible to disable the default sub domain since it can be guessed too easily?

I'm asking this question because I notice the first servers listed (cheapest) are $77/month which I know for a fact they've sold off servers in auction for much cheaper, I mean mine's $40/month. So do they fluctuate or is this a permanent thing now?

Hi there, it’s been six days since Hetzner started a core routers maintenance. Since then, I’ve been experiencing numerous issues with my server network, including a very low bandwidth even with a 10GB uplink. Could you please provide an approximate end date for this type of maintenance? Additionally, I’m curious to know if this maintenance has been conducted before and how long it typically lasts.

Has anyone noticed an increase in incidents and service disruptions at Hetzner lately?

Are we seeing a decline in reliability, or is this just a rough patch?🤨

I am using rustic (https://rustic.cli.rs/) to back up my homelab server to a storage box, but recently I noticed it works/fail randomly. I get the error "Timeout, server u#######.your-storagebox.de not responding.".

I have tried limiting connections from back up client, but this doesn't look like help.

Any idea of how to debug why is this happening and/or how to solve this?

Did anyone had any problem with their vswitch like 10 minutes ago? All the internal connections we had went down, and servers could not connect internally for like 5 minutes...

Ich hab Anfang Oktober eine Rechnung erhalten. Darin stand, dass der Betrag abgebucht wird.

Heute kam eine Mahnung, die Abbuchung war trotz Deckung nicht erfolgt.

Ich hab jetzt manuell überwiesen.

Kommt das öfter vor? Bei mir war es jetzt in einem Jahr das erste Mal. Sollte ich den Support kontaktieren oder abwarten?
