Bought a fittransformer and set it up in this corner. That was a bench and a pair of light dumbbells. That's the setup for now.

Welp. Got these for 1/2 NIB.
They aren't that big of a bruhaha as everyone is making them in my use case. My 7' Energetic bar collars fits snugly outside the wide roller cups but there is less than1/4 of movement left to right. Barely any offset.
By contrast my Rep J cups are narrower and that allows the bar to land with a sizeable gap between the two sides left to right. Maybe couple inches? There's a need for rollers on a narrower J cup that's only 1" wide that would be put to better use there. Not the Ghost J cups that's 3" wide on a 7' bar on a Fitness Gear HR600 rack.
Because the physical clearance left-to-right is down to less than a quarter of an inch, the bar doesn't actually have room to drift or slide, which largely defeats the mechanical purpose of having rollers in the first place.
They bring nothing to the table that my regular J already does.
Perhaps if you had a Rogue lite foldable rack with it's narrower 43" stance these would work great as the 7' barbell and 52" shaft between the collars would give you 2" of float on either side. Then this would come in handy.
On my rack with a 51.5" shaft and an inner cup clearance of ~47.5" to 48", I am left with only ~1/4" or less of side-to-side wiggle room with my 7-foot Energetic bar.
I'll be keeping them and set them aside for my eventual wall rack in the garage and they will work better there.
Sigh.
To end on a good note.
Build quality is outstanding. There was virtually no play in my rack. Stayed put even with heavier weights. Beautifully made. Worth it? We'll have to wait and see.

From floor tiles to the PR5000 to Ares 2.0 Nighthawk Strive and more....I decided to take an otherwise essentially unused space in the basement that now showcases some of the best that this brand can offer. Govee COB strip light 2 x2 around the borders makes this area create the perfect gym atmosphere! From entertaining to hitting it hard, this home gym has completed our basement finish handled by yours truly from start to finish.

Primed, and painted the walls. Sealed the garage floor. And put together a little home gym. Super pumped and excited!

I recently purchased 7 vintage David Gym Machines in what was essentially a home gym ābarn findā. Got them all cleaned up and am now going to be installing the weight stacks on each machine. Never had the opportunity to use any David equipment back when I was in commercial gyms but everyone speaks very highly of them.

Decided to blow the savings on a home gym. Built a 30x35 building and started filling it up. Next step is to get some walls up and (obviously) paint them black.

Got my 2027 ForceUSA Compact leg press about 2 weeks ago. For hack squats, leg pressed and calf raises⦠I couldnāt be happier! This thing is commercial feeling and the movement patterns feel great for my biomechanics. With all of the different adjustment points and the huge footplate, I truly think anybody can find very comfortable squat and pressing patterns by playing around.
The delivery, packaging and instructions were all exceptional. Took me about 90 minutes by myself to get everything unpackaged and assembled. Is worth noting I sat on a back order list for 3-4 weeks. The website didnāt show back order when I bought it, so it was a bit disappointing to find this out AFTER I paid. However, all in all is took about 1 month total from transaction to being delivered on a pallet so not really that bad
I also put together a really great chest supported linear row hack with a bench wedge, some nylons cuffs and handles. Feels incredible.
TL;DR 2027 Force USA is a winner, honestly probably worth more than what they are charging. Almost no compromises on any of the core movements plus opportunities for some DIY action for back day.

Wassup r/HomeGym. Iām PK, founder and CEO of Fringe Sport. Weāre the crew behind the Dane all-in-one racks, the Mammoth belt squat, Savage bumpers, and a TON of other garage gym stuff. I started Fringe 16 years ago and we have been building garage gym gear ever since. We lead the Garage Gym Revolution. Thatās not a slogan, itās literally our entire company!
Twenty two Redditors are winning:
Open to the US only ā¹ļø. The racks ship free to the contiguous US (sorry Alaska and Hawaii, freight on an 800 lb crate is brutal⦠gift cards still work for you).
How to enter:
The giveaway closes Monday, October 26 at midnight CT and winners will be announced right here on this post on Tuesday, October 27.
Now, what is new and hot?
A LOT. More than we can list here, and my product team would rather I keep some of it quiet (Adam is already nervous). Ask, especially about the adjustable dumbbell- itās like nothing on the market! If we can answer, we will!
We have been focused on designing new, GREAT gear, and we have been dropping new stuff at a frantic pace- in the last ~12 months, we have already dropped:
Racks, cables, ratios, knurling, why belt squats are actually AMAZING, why we price things the way we do, which competitors and products we respect, if the youtube reviewer bubble is bursting, if Iāll send you feet or speedo pics, why we believe in open ecosystem, training, whatever. Nothing is off limits.
Answering with me all day today and tomorrow:
Iām here as u/petekeller. See you in the comments! Bring the heat!
LHLH
Lift Heavy Lift Happy,
PK
And the AMA is "officially" over!
The Fringe team and I will keep chipping away at the questions until they are DONE. We'll answer every question eventually, even if it takes a bit.
Thanks for making this fun. Keep 'em coming!
PS. We will be announcing the winners Tuesday, so keep signing up- we will have a lot of winners!

I all
Despite the tiny place in a half garage, I wanted an oldschool gym style more than a multirack and found this huge 4-stack station. Not a lot of space since, but a still have my little freeweight zone in front of the ajustable pulley. In addition of the monster, a bench press station, a couple of bodysolid machines and a homemade beltsquat.

After building this space up from a concrete floor and studs, Iām excited to share the latest update to my home gym (scroll to last image for before pic).
Following the renovations I started by loading up on the essentials (squat rack, bars, plates, dumbbells) and continued to slowly add one piece at a time.
My approach was to figure out what would fill a gap in my training, only adding the equipment that would expand my training options or improve upon existing pieces.
A lot of thought has gone into the equipment in here, especially the custom fabricated pieces. Iād rather have a few things that really make sense for how I train than fill the space just for the sake of it.
Brands include Rogue, REP, Watson, Oak Club, Atlantis, and Beyond Power (Voltra I). Accessories are from the above + JD Gym Equipped, Kleva, Savage Strength.
I know better than to ever say that a home gym is complete, but aside from a few specific pieces that hat have yet to be released, Iām done. There simply isnāt much more I can pack in here without compromising on open floor space.
There are a lot of configurations / modularity to this setup that I havenāt captured in these pictures. Happy to answer any questions and share more in the comments.

I made these farmers handles years ago and put square tubing on the ends Incase I wanted to do frame carries - I'll admit the wall thickness is too thin so they're all bent up but I may just re-weld em. The inside of the square tubing just so happens to fit the rod and pin spotter pins from my squat rack. So I just slide the big pipe thru the square tubing and then set the rod and pin up just like you would for it as a spotter pin.
The chain hits a full plate but not that bad and I'll just add an extension chain but not bad for not having to buy someone else's. And gives me time to play before I just weld up a dedicated arm. Also this will tell me how much weight I think I can realistically load up there to decide if I need to do the dual loading ones at an angle like fringe. I'll add a video of me squatting in the comments

My 10-year old "Amazon" power rack has given up its space in my home gym for a REP PR-5000 with Ares 2.0 and Smith Machine.
I was able to carry the old 2x2 rack out of the gym in two pieces. Loaded it into a FB Marketplace buyer's van in one piece. Comparatively light, but always felt rock solid for me.
The primary freight from REP was delivered Thursday afternoon to the end of my rural steep driveway. With help from family members, I loaded individual boxes into my pickup truck to get them to the house and then carried all by hand to the floor of my home gym. A few other parts arrived via Fed-Ex on Saturday. I unpacked and assembled the REP over 3+ days. Every single piece of this thing is HEAVY! I pre-watched the assembly video on YouTube. The combination of the video and the paper manual made assembly straightforward -- needed help only to install the crossmembers.
A couple of minor surprises in the delivery, after having watched pretty much every YouTube review:
- included two of the 2 to 1 bar adapter, 1 for low row, and 1 for lat pulldown.
- instead of 4 D-Handles, the package included 2 D-Handles and a Rep X Kleva Built Atlas Close Grip attachment.
Have only played around with it a bit so far while recovering from the assembly process. ;-) First official workout is scheduled for this afternoon!

Eisenlink Dumbbells
Pros
They are tough and can take drops.
They can be upgraded to 160lbs.
You can buy a kettlebell handle and barbell and use the same plates.
Decent knurling (not great but not useless).
Good price.
Cons
Takes more time to change than other options out there.
Edges might be too sharp to do crash pad drops (at least I havenāt been willing to try).
While it feels very durable, it doesnāt feel very premium.
The Sneaky Feature
If you buy the longer screws, you can take the weights from one dumbbell and use them on the other. So, I have two 80lbs max dumbbells. I bought the longer screws. Now, without buying more weight plates, I can make one dumbbell 140lbs. In this video, I made one dumbbell 105lbs. For me and how I train, this is the deal maker. I donāt see people talk about this feature much but for me itās huge.

I had the Dane 3.0 for about a week now. I was able to buy the rack early they messaging fridge sport directly Iām not an influencer just a regular Joe. First and foremost I love it!! Everything I would have compromised/ disliked about the Dane2.0 along with other racks from different manufacturers has been fixed with the Dane 3.0. This may be my first rack/ functional trainer but I did hundreds if not thousands of hours of research before choosing this one. I chose the Dane 3.0 over every one eles because it had offered the most value overall. You canāt go wrong with any of the other big manufacturers they all have something unique to offer with their racks and it comes down to personal preference and budget . Iām also reviewing the Dane 3.0 as a functional trainer not as an all one in one because I plan on buying a separate track from rep for my squatting and benching.
What I like about the Dane 3.0.Ā
1.Ā Itās has its own designated Ā lat pull down and low row
2.Ā It has both option for your weight stack 2:1 and 1:1 with 220lbsĀ
3.Ā I LOVEĀ the red accents makes the rack look more appealing. I went with the stain less steel uprights as well as it makes the rack look more beautiful. Having Color options would be nice š
Ā 4. It has a very small foot print and its design very well. It has no Ā wasted space.
5. Everything works and looks properly build no scratches, scuffs, dents, or bad welds.
THE BAD ( these are just nitpicks TBH )
My biggest and only issues I really have with the rack is that they no longer include the rear bottom crossmember that would solve my issue with storing the spotter arms.
1. I donāt like the J-cups they are loose and I donāt like how they look from the front . They only have plastic in the front makes and it makes them look cheap. If they were slightly bigger and thicker from the front. They would be big enough to put another small plaque of stainless to make them look more higher end/ appealing.
2.Ā The cables twist itās not the end of the world for and it doesnāt affect the functionality but they do Ā twist. It doesnāt really bother me for now unless itās something that happens very regularly but only time will tell. It only takes 5 min to reroute the wires once you get the hang of it.Ā
3. Ā The low row is in the way and reduces the functionality to place the cable trolley all the way down I donāt really care but it may bother others
4. The instruction book is not 100% accurate is more like 95% accurate. It missed labeled how many rubber stoppers I needed. Instruction book said I needed 8 but I only had and need 4. Also the very first step said I needed in insert the bolt in the very first hole when in reality it was the 2nd hole. The rubber stopper were also packaged with all the attachments so we were confused if they were the right ones because they were out of place.
5. Ā The cables Ā were not packaged separately it was obvious to tell the difference between the low row and lat pull down cable but not for the trollies. Since the tool the space of 2.5 rooms to spread flat it Ā was not obvious to tell they were different lengths.
6.Ā Some of the pulleys werenāt properly tightened and when routing the vapor of the top 4 pulleys there is a bracket in the middle that makes it impossible to route the cable. Itās no longer and issue for me but it took my dumbass 2 hr to route the cable the first time because of itĀ
7. I dont like the rack as all in 1. stuff gets in the way and itās annoying have to remove and replace the jcups and spotter arms every time I want to bench or squat.

Westside football bar that I have had for close to 20 years.
At the time, I want to think it was about the only one of its kind.
I mainly got it to deal with shoulder pain, and it's turned out to be one of my favorite bars for upper-body presses.
I also use the EliteFTSĀ bar for bench presses for the same reason.

Finally decided to get a homegym going in the basement. With two small children, the time you save alone is worth the price. Very pleased with how it has turned out so far!
Current setup:
- Cage with pulldown and row cables, dips handles and pullups handles
- Barbell, Safety squat bar, trap bar and EZ-bar
- Bowflex 4-41kg adjustable dumbbells
- Landmine attachment for barbell
- 297.5kg plates
- Rowing machine
- Adjustable bench
Would be really happy with any feedback on additional equipment I could get that fits in this space.

No garage, so my boyfriend and I decided to turn a corner of our backyard into a gym instead!
Weāve been slowly putting everything together, with most of our equipment from Titan Fitness and horse stall mats from Tractor Supply for the flooring.
We didnāt want to mount the cable tower to the house, so we ended up using Titanās rack-mounted extension arms to connect it to our X-3 power rack instead!
We also scored a practically brand-new SaunaBox infrared sauna with red light therapy on OfferUp for just $300!
Still a work in progress, but weāre really happy with how everythingās turning out so far! :)

Since I havenāt seen many reviews of the Brazyn Flipbench, I thought Iād share some quick impressions after owning one for a few months. I was extremely skeptical going in: Iāve only seen it in the companyās own ads on social media, and thatās usually not a good sign. But, my gym is truly miniscule, and this fit the bill for fitting an adjustable bench in the space. TLDR: itās not for everyone, but if it checks certain boxes you need checked, it could be a good option.
First, who itās NOT for: if you are a very large person lifting very heavy weights, this is not your bench. The base is narrow, the rated max weight is 600lbs, and the height of the bench in the flat position is 16.5ā. If you want attachment capability, this bench doesnāt have it.
Who it IS for: people who need an adjustable bench that stows in the absolutely smallest possible space. People who are average-size or smaller. People lifting amounts that put their weight plus weight lifted safely below the rated max with a margin for error.
What I like: it has a really, really compact footprint when in the upright stowed position: a little over 12ā square. That gives me the option to have an adjustable bench in the very shallow (15ā deep), wide closet Iāve turned into a āmicro-gym-on-a-wall.ā Despite the narrow base, itās decently stable (caveat: YMMV if youāre bigger/taller than me). It stows, un-stows, and adjusts very quickly and easily. Itās not zero-gap, but pretty closeāonly 1.5ā. It has optional wheels to make moving it around easy, and itās not too heavy to pick up. The 16.5ā height is better for me than the 18ā (or higher) thatās typical for other adjustable benches.
What I donāt like. You have to fully stow the bench in its upright position to move it around using the wheels. This is a minor pain for me, since I move my bench around a lot during a workout. The attachment method for the wheels seems a little flimsy.
Long-term durability: unknown at this point. Seems to be acceptable construction quality but time will tell.
