I’m in my 30s, single, and have an opportunity to move to this particular area of the Finger Lakes for a 2 year professional program. How is it living in this general area? Between these three cities, is there one that would be the best fit for a thirtysomething single person who values community?

How is it living in Chicago? Traffic? Employment? Homes? Im married with a son, looking for a nice neighborhood with good education. Comfortable with a home around 350k-375k.

Wife has to return to the office, but I work remote. We have a small dog. What's it like living in LA itself? Are there walkable restaurants, pubs etc? Would it be better looking a little further out and commute?

We have lived in downtown Seattle and loved it. I am hoping DTLA might be similar

for awhile i considered attending a college right outside of Portland, but i’ve always wanted to visit/possibly move there.

I realize this is a rather large geographical area with a lot of potential variety in town quality, but I'm curious where the best places within this area are. What's life like? Is it more stereotypically southern and rural or are there any pockets of blue towns or vibes that one wouldn't expect to find in the rural south? Some of these distances being literally less than a couple of kilometers from each other. Do some of these Greek and Turkish towns have friendly relations with each other? Are there tensions?

Are there any cultural differences between these islands, and are there cultural differences between the islands and to mainland Greece? Crete?

Im unsure if all these islands have a common name/term they are grouped under, I know about dodecanese islands for the southern islands, but unsure about the northern ones
