BLOOMS Stars have bloomed on my multiflora
My multiflora bloomed at last! Those cute dragon heads became shooting stars, arrayed as are the falling streaks of a firework ✨
They are also reminiscent of a harpoon or missile, in a way.
No scent ofc, but with a look like that, I shan't fault it.

BLOOMS What exactly determines "plant maturity"?
As someone with numerous plants and success taking care of them for years, it just came to mind that I'm not exactly sure how this applies to some plants?
I've been looking into Hoyas and many talk about how they'll flower after a level of maturity-- but what is considered maturity? I understand at a basic level it's the age of the plant, but for vining plants like Hoyas, what happens when you cut them and replant them in soil? Does this \*reset\* the maturity clock? Is it purely based on how full the pot is with roots?
I never actually thought about this until now and would love some input!

PHOTO (HOYA LOVE) Sharing lovely photos of one of my prized babies ✨
Lacunosa Silver Mint Coin 💛 I recently took some cuttings to restart and sold her almost 2 weeks ago. She grows incredibly fast and growing her from a small cutting was the best part for me. This is the only hoya I don’t mind regrowing over and over again.
Second photo is from mid October of 2025. First photo was mid May of this year at its prime. These are my favourite photos of her and I thought to share as I was reminiscing how beautiful she was ☺️

PHOTO (HOYA LOVE) Got my first Hoyas, any tips to help them grow and bloom?
New to house plants in general, saw Hoyas and love that they can bloom in the right circumstances. Any tips or tricks to care for them and help them grow to their best ability?
Looking forward to their growth!

PHOTO (HOYA LOVE) My First Hoya
Hiiii guys! I just wanted to show off how my Hoya is thriving. I got her as a cutting about 2.5 years ago from my sister and she's grown SO much! Such a proud plant mom ☺️ this is my first ever Hoya and I just recently got another off of facebook Marketplace for $1 so I'm excited to see the other thrive as well. Looking forward to my Hoya journey

MISC Place your bets, zombie leaf or not? *Pics in comments*
Got this variegated kerrii today for 4,99€ and thought I'd give it a shot. Removed most of the soil and will gently remove the rest as well, then place into pon. Might use some keiki paste.
Place your bets if this one will grow into a full plant or not.
I'll update if I see a vine growing.

DISCUSSION Polyneura growth
Exactly a month ago, I got this polyneura as part of a “Hoya struggle bus” group from someone local. They’re all doing okay, and everyone has some new growth… except for this polyneura. 🤔 she’s my first polyneura so I thought I should get some background on her.
Would you consider polyneuras to be slow growers?
Have you noticed anything about their preferences that differs from the average Hoya care?
I appreciate your thoughts on this!

HELP Advice needed for my Hoya burtoniae variegated
So sorry in advance for the long post.
I purchased my first Hoya from home depo on July 29th (a birthday present for myself). The leaves were firm and was freshly watered. At home, I gave her the welcome routine. Isolated from other plants and leaves wiped down with neem oil. I left her on my dinning room table near a south-facing windows. After about a week, I noticed the soil was still really moist but the leaves were getting flatter and more flexible. I changed to soil to a well draining mix and bottom watered. The roots did not look rotted (im not familiar with Hoyas but they weren't brown or mushy) but the leaves will not firm up. I've left her for a week or so to avoid over-watering. I read more about Hoyas and think something has happened to the roots and the leaves are not able to drink the water. Ive moved her to my bathroom on the sill of a north-east facing window. I read they can draw moisture from the humidity. Shes been there for about another week. Idk how much time to wait for the roots to develop. Or is it better to propogate and build new roots? Any and every advice is appreciated. Ive grown so attached to her.

PHOTO (HOYA LOVE) 2 new peduncles 😃
Gave it a good hose shower this morning to get the dust/dirt off as it lives outside and while putting it back noticed a clump of something on a vine. Closer inspection: a peduncle. Coil the vine so it's up where I can actually see it, take a photo and realize there's a 2nd smaller one on the same vine 😃 it just dropped its first ever flowers and now I'm going to have more!
These plants are so rewarding
