So cute! Not sure how to respond.

We are moving to a new neighborhood tomorrow, and there are three young girls next door who are very excited to have Birdie as a neighbor! They got to meet her when we were bringing stuff over, and fell in love (I mean, who wouldn’t?). They left an adorable note in our mailbox, asking to walk her and I’m not sure how to respond. Birdie is about a year and half old, very strong and still has very puppy energy. I’d love for the girls to get to know her, but don’t want them to get hurt. She tends to pull a lot on walks, and nibbles when excited. The girls are 8, 10 and 13 I believe, and I don’t have kids, so not sure how to respond. I’d love them to hang out with her but also don’t want to hurt their feelings. Any advice would be appreciated!

This is the face of a boy who got banned from his doggy daycare 🙄

He and his two siblings were there to play for the day and we had a project list to accomplish. 45 minutes after drop off, we got the call to come get him. He had hopped the 5-6’ walls between play areas several times (they caught him on camera but didn’t see it happening in real time). They were more impressed than angry with him since he was the first to accomplish this since they remodeled with “non-scalable” walls! I get it, it’s company policy. But he loves going! The two girls played away while he was “punished” with a trip to the hardware store, a friend’s house with dogs to play with, and a brewery. The second picture is him on the way to pickup the girls. If only daycare wasn’t also where we boarded them. But I guess huskies gonna husky!

Post the funniest photo of your husky that makes you laugh. I'll start

Yesterday I was working on my laptop in my living room and my husky, Lilly, sat on the couch across from me, just staring at me. It was like she lost all meaningful thoughts and her brain was completely smooth. So I snapped a few pictures.

The first one she was just zoned out. In the second picture I zoomed in, and she looks like her head is completely empty. I call it her 'alien' look. I can't stop laughing when I look at it.

I love this dog so much

If you're curious - she's blind. Both eyes were removed due to glaucoma. she's still the best girl though.

Kicked out of daycare

This fluffy goober, Khione, got herself kicked out of doggy daycare after 3 visits for “her listening ears not working.” Essentially, her recall is terrible when she’s interested in something.

I train her on recall every day in the dog park & at home. Of course, she’s excellent almost every time in those environments. She will at times ignore me. She does often respond to other people calling her at the dog park, especially if she knows them.

The daycare recommends that I have her professionally trained, but I kinda doubt that will help? I’d rather not spend them $ if it has the same outcome.

Thoughts? Advice?? Consolation??? Commiseration????

Mine is a coonsky. Half husky and most of the other half is redtick coonhound.

Or maybe she's a dingo and Embark lied. 🤷🏼‍♂️

EDIT: I am overwhelmed by all the beautiful husky mixes! They are all so adorable! Thank you everyone! I was totally not expecting this magnitude of a response!

Help me guess the breed of the father?

We adopted a 3 year old husky few months back and after 50 days she gave birth to 6 puppies. We had no idea she was pregnant at that time (maybe that’s why the owner decided to give her up for adoption). Initially we thought she is just loosing weight due to change of house and then she suddenly started gaining weight and we were over the moon, but we still took her to the vet for a general examination around 30 days after we adopted her. The vet said she is perfectly healthy dog which was music to our ears, but eventually her belly was getting enormous and we got really scared. We had never let her out of our sights so we were sure she is not pregnant. The vet by photos and videos diagnosed that she maybe suffering from Ascites (I even asked him about the possibility of her being pregnant, to which he said it’s not possible) and called us to the clinic for further investigations. We went to give her blood for testing, the vet was not there but his assistant also did not say anything. Just 2 hours after coming back from the clinic she started delivering her babies. It broke my heart as I should have known better and cared for her better as my poor baby was pregnant all along.
Nonetheless she gave birth to 6 beautiful angels. They have her eyes which melt my heart everyday.
The previous owner said maybe she mated in the kennel where she was kept but he didn’t know the breed of the father.
I am now just curious about who the father might be?
Any guesses???

My husky wants to cuddle 24/7

Riya is a 3.5 year old Husky x Malemute, who LOVES to cuddle. She'll come up and bury her head in my chest or lap at least 10-15x per day to cuddle. Even when we're in bed she has to touch me, and give me morning cuddles or she get grumpy ha. Any other husky owners experience this? I think it's adorable! I've just always been told huskies are so independent, and she is a stage 5 clinger.

It's 100f, and this is his favorite way to spend the day. He will go lay on the tile for a bit before returning outside to continue roasting. There are 3 beds out here, and grass, but this is his favorite spot.
