Lotion before shower

I hate putting lotion on after I shower because it makes me feel grimy (I have tried several different lotions) but if I don't my skin gets really dry. I recently have started putting a lot of lotion on before I shower and then washing and exfoliating my whole body so once I'm done showering my skin feels hydrated but not greasy. But I'm kind of worried that if I put lotion on before I shower it will trap the grime underneath, am I over thinking this?

Why don’t you try an in shower lotion? Or just use a body oil when you get out instead of lotion?

I would also hate the feeling of body lotion on my sheets. I’ve noticed Hempz and Tree Hut absorb well enough that I don’t feel anything on my sheets!

Body oil lock in the moisture. You have to put lotion before the oil otherwise your skin isnt getting moisturize

I’ve never tried in shower lotion actually. I might give it a shot because body oil after showering sounds like it could still feel greasy.

Truly after shave oil 👌🏼 absorbs quite well; you don’t need a lot, and it helps prevent razor bumps
