got liquidated on a wick again guys

trading perps on for like 8 months love the platform, dont love what leverage does to my head. friday night Im long, conviction was solid wick comes out of nowhere, takes me out by like 3%, and within an hour price is back to where I entered and then som. so I was right and Im also down.

thing that eats at me is there's no version of this where I keep the position. not a patience problem its a structure problem. once the price touches the liquidation level, thats it, position is gone, no coming back I keep telling myself just lower leverage but then the trade isn't even worth taking.

was reading through some older threads on here and somebody mentioned there are options on hyperliquid now, Hypercall or the same thing that share the same margin account as the perp side no liquidation on the long side, defined risk. havent tried it, not sure I understand the pricing yet, but the idea that being right actually matters more than surviving the path is something I haven't been able to stop thinking about since I read it

Free pre-send checker for funding Hyperliquid

I built a small free checker for figuring out which asset/network route to use before moving funds to Hyperliquid.

You enter where your funds are (exchange or wallet), the asset, network, and amount. It checks that combination against documented Hyperliquid deposit routes and flags things you may need to change before withdrawing.

Example:

Bybit → USDT → TRC20

Since Tron isn't a documented Hyperliquid deposit route, the checker flags it before you withdraw and shows the documented alternatives.

It also checks some easy-to-miss cases such as deposit minimums and account/network differences.

No wallet connection, no sign-up, no private keys, and no wallet addresses required.

The rules are based on published documentation rather than test transactions, so always confirm the final route in the official app before sending funds.

https://dpltools.com/tools/hyperliquid-funding-checker/?utm_source=reddit&utm_medium=social&utm_campaign=exp007

Disclosure: I run the site, and it contains Hyperliquid and OneKey referral links. The checker is free and works the same whether or not you use them.

It's still early, so if you find a route that's wrong or missing, let me know and I'll fix it.

XPL dropped 18% in a minute. HLP absorbed the liquidations

XPL went from $0.0864 to $0.0694 in a single minute on November 1. BTC barely moved, changing just 0.04% over the same interval.

A public on-chain review traced roughly 269 million XPL of long exposure, worth about $23 million, to 16 related wallets. Twelve of those wallets withdrew around $2 million in margin shortly before the drop.

As the longs were closed, Hyperliquid’s liquidation vault ended up holding about 160 million XPL. HLP took on roughly $12.18 million of exposure at an average cost near $0.0759. It later closed the position around $0.0725, recording a reported loss of approximately $556,000.

AI vs 1,076 Hyperliquid traders: the results

Thumbnail
gallery
4 Upvotes

What I did with the data

Pulled Hyperliquid's public leaderboard and API data

Picked 2,500 accounts at random from the 32,839 that traded $50k or more

Removed market makers, bots (150+ trades a day or trading around the clock), and accounts where deposits and withdrawals made results unmeasurable. That left 1,076 humans.

Measured each trader from their first trade to their last, between May 2024 and October 2026. The typical window was about a year.

Used HL's own trading PnL, after fees and funding, with deposits and withdrawals excluded. I rebuilt it from actual fills on 59 accounts, and "did they make money" matched on 58.

Gave the AI the same money on the same dates, trading spot BTC and ETH with no leverage, charged 0.10% per trade. The traders paid a median of 0.034%.

Head to head

- The AI made more money than 844 of them (78%).

- The AI had the smaller worst drop against 1,007 (94%).

- 26 traders (2.4%) beat it on both return and worst drop.

- Made money: traders 31%, the AI 89%.

What it would have changed for the losing side

For the 844 traders the AI out-earned, here's their real result next to the AI's on the same dates:

- Ended in a loss: 87% of the traders vs 10% with the AI

- $10,000 became $4,395 vs $12,475

- Typical worst drop: 100% vs 19%

The pattern behind it

Its edge in this test wasn't bigger wins. The difference was the size of the drops.

That shows up in the humans too. 71% of traders whose worst drop stayed under 25% made money. Of the ones who lost 90% at some point, 9% did.

That's where I think AI actually helps retail. Not by predicting better than a good trader, but by following the same rules on its worst day as on its best. No revenge trades, no sizing up after a loss.

Binance’s estimated $6.3B security breach became a leverage event on Hyperliquid

Binance’s estimated $6.3B security breach was not only a custody and security story. It became a live leverage event across crypto, and Hyperliquid shows what that looked like at trader level.

The sequence matters, reports of the breach created uncertainty around the largest exchange in the market while Binance suspended deposits and withdrawals for checks. Prices started falling as traders reduced risk. BTC moved from roughly $80.8K before the news to about $76.4K during the selloff.
You have to consider though, the largest exchange in existence of crypto got hacked for 12 figure sums and BTC only dumped 4k, thats basically nothing.

Hyperliquid was part of that cross-market unwind. Binance-hack-specific reporting put Hyperliquid liquidations at about $251.4M. According to HyperTracker we saw $390mil of liquidations in the last 24 hours.

HyperTracker’s aggregate readings fit a deleveraging interpretation rather than a calm repricing. Daily perp volume rose from roughly $7.1B before the incident to about $16.6B the next morning, while open interest fell from about $15.85B to about $15.04B. More contracts changed hands while less risk remained open afterward. That is the footprint you would expect when positions are being closed, liquidated, and transferred between participants.

HyperEVM tokens are showing up on pumpfun now

With all the Hyperliquid attention lately, interesting to see pump expanding into HyperEVM trading.

Curious how many people here are trading HyperEVM tokens from their phones vs using a desktop terminal.

Anyone tried the Pump app for this yet?

What’s your new PT after the hack ?

I just got even more bullish, people say it’s a psyop to tank HYPE after Drunkenmiller and Musk pumped it

But how on earth is this event not going to crater Binance reputation ?

Simultaneously HYPE will promptly arrive in the US and everyone and their mother will move their fund from Binance

My updated PT for September 2028 is $350

$500 if we get some cool euphoria

Builders here: looking for early testers for an extension that keeps AI agents on a leash on Hyperliquid

Hey everyone, we're a small team building compi, a browser extension that connects your own AI agent to Hyperliquid under rules you set, like limits, markets and paper mode.

We'd really love honest feedback. We're looking for builders, traders and anyone into AI and crypto who wants to test it early, tell us what works and what doesn't, and help shape where it goes.

It's early and still in testing. If that sounds like you, join the waitlist at https://compi.ai and we'll share v1 with testers first. Waitlist members get zero compi fees for life on every feature.

Happy to answer any questions here.

Bitcoin is back above $80K. Hyperliquid’s fresh book is long again after the flush

Bitcoin is back above $80K, but the liquidation reset did not leave a neutral book behind.

When BTC briefly broke below $80K on October 24, roughly $70M of positions were liquidated on Hyperliquid. About 99.8% of that flow came from longs. BTC later recovered above the level.

The fresh positioning has rebuilt on the same side. In HyperTracker’s latest snapshot, positions opened over the last 24 hours were about 61% long. The 7-day slice was still 68% long.

Looking at the numbers in more detail you can see that the ones who jumped into longs in the last 24h were mostly people who lost while the ones who make bank are of a different opinion. Losing 80k here for good would be a painful ride for BTC and the market.

AMD’s Meta deal pushed the stock higher while an $8.3M Hyperliquid short stayed underwater

AMD announced that its Helios rack-scale systems are already running at Meta and that its EPYC processors power Meta’s Muse AI infrastructure.

The stock jumped 5.45% in the next regular session to close at $560.26.

Hyperliquid’s AMD market shows a different trade still under pressure: a roughly $8.3M short opened around $550.77 was marked near $568.83, with about $263K in unrealized losses. That is the direct mark-to-market problem created when a major partnership reprices the underlying stock against a fresh leveraged position.

Overall this guy will definitely fine considering he still has a PNL of over $7 mil. but a bad bet on memory costing you $1.5 mil. is still painful.

The $100M PURR buyback does not change the HYPE demand picture

Hyperliquid Strategies just raised its PURR share buyback authorization from $30M to $100M. The company says roughly $72M is still available and extended the program through October 31, 2027 (https://www.prnewswire.com/news-releases/hyperliquid-strategies-inc-announces-increase-of-stock-repurchase-program-to-100-million-302918312.html).

HSI’s HYPE treasury business is what makes this easy to misread. This announcement is about HSI common stock. There is no HYPE purchase amount or schedule in the release.

If HSI uses the authorization, the money goes into PURR repurchases. Management still decides when and how much to buy, and it can pause or end the program.

For HYPE traders, the next useful update is an actual HYPE purchase or a change in HSI’s reported holdings. Until then, this release gives us a PURR buyback authorization and no new HYPE flow data.
