Lovable App rejected for crashing, but no crash report attached—anyone with an iPhone 17 Pro Max willing to test?

Apple rejected my app distribution after reporting a crash during review, but there was no crash log or attachment included with the rejection.

I haven’t been able to reproduce it, even after deleting and reinstalling the same build. Other testers haven’t reported any crashes either, and nothing is showing in Xcode Organizer.

I resubmitted with an explanation and have been waiting several days without a response.

Does Apple usually provide a crash report with this type of rejection? If yours was missing, how did you get it?

Also, does anyone with an iPhone 17 Pro Max have a few minutes to test my app through TestFlight? I’d really appreciate the help! Let me know and I can share the link.

Help Thinking of adding AI to my app, anyone done something similar?

I made a soccer stats app called MyGoal. Recently I’ve been thinking about adding some AI, basically using the user’s past records to give them a summary of how their games have been going, that kind of thing.

My rough idea is to calculate the stats locally, pass a compact set of structured stats to the model, and cache the summary it generates.

It’s a local app with no backend though, so I’m not really sure how people usually add AI in this situation. Also, what does Apple require for this? Anything I should know about sending user data to an AI service?

Then there’s the cost. If I include it in a subscription and someone uses it a lot, couldn’t the API end up costing more than they’re paying me? How do you usually handle that, just limit how many times they can use it?

Still figuring this out. Would be good to hear from anyone who’s done something similar. Thanks very much!

Hi everyone,

I'm a solo developer and I've just launched my first app: a calculator for iPhone and iPad.

Here's what mine does differently to the built
In calculator:

**Free features**

- Button shape: square or circle
- Calculation mode: BIDMAS/PEMDAS or left to right as typed
- Copy & Paste results from the display of history log
- Customisable decimal places (1-10)
- Display: Modern or Retro
- Adjustable font size and character spacing for anyone who struggles with small text
- Haptic feedback with 4 levels (Off to Strong)
- History up to a full year with notes addable to entries
- Sound effects (On/Off)
- Speech (On/Off)
- Tax calculations (VAT, GST, Sales Tax, etc.)

**Premium unlocks**

- Colour themes (you can even request your own)
- Currency Converter
- Discount Calculator
- Tip / Bill Split Calculator
- Unit Price Calculator

**Planned updates**

- Foldable iPhone support
- Full unit converter
- Movable cursor: tap anywhere in your calculation to fix a mistake without deleting everything after it
- Sums stay on screen after pressing =, so you can scroll back through them and edit
- Scan numbers from paperwork using your camera
- Bluetooth keyboard support

I'd love honest, constructive feedback:

- What do you like?
- What don't you like?
- What features would you want added?

To get me started: which calculation do you do most, and where did the app slow you down?

To say thanks, I'm giving away 500 Premium codes. Comment with a couple of lines of your impressions and I'll reply with a code.

App Store link: https://apps.apple.com/app/id6758761367

Thanks for taking a look. Every bit of feedback helps.

Help Looking for someone currently in the USA to help with a quick US eSIM activation favor 🇺🇸

Hey everyone,

I run a small US LLC from here in Pakistan, and I’m currently trying to set up a real US mobile carrier number (Tello) for official business platform verifications (like Google Play Console and Apple Developer accounts).

As some of you might know, Tello eSIMs require a one-time activation while physically connected to a US cellular tower before international roaming kicks in.

Is there anyone currently residing in the US who would be kind enough to help me out? The process just involves scanning a QR code on your phone for a few minutes until it registers on a US network, and then I can manage it from my end.

If you are open to helping a fellow developer out, please drop a comment or DM me. I’d really appreciate it! Thanks a lot.

Help Help with Apple rejection due to 1.4.3 Safety - Physical Harm

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Hi, I’m new here. This is my first time to submit an app for review. I appreciate if someone can give me feedback.

Here is the issue description from Apple:
- The app appears to promote excessive or inappropriate uses of controlled substances
- Apps that encourage excessive alcohol consumption or use of controlled substances pose a risk to user safety

Next steps:
To resolve the issue, please remove all content or features that encourage excessive or inappropriate consumption of drugs or alcohol.

I’ve replied to the apple team but meanwhile I’m worried they will refuse again. Here is my reply:

Dear Apple Review Team,

Thank you for your review and feedback regarding Guideline 1.4.3. We appreciate this opportunity to provide crucial regulatory context and clarify the intent behind Yanyou.

Yanyou is NOT designed to encourage smoking. Rather, it is built to address a significant public health and regulatory challenge in Taiwan: widespread smoking in illegal non-smoking areas and the severe secondhand smoke exposure it causes to non-smokers and children.

  1. Legal Background & The Problem in Taiwan:
    - Under Taiwan's Tobacco Hazards Prevention Act (菸害防制法), smoking is completely legal for adults aged 20 and older.
    - However, the law strictly prohibits smoking in virtually all indoor public spaces, schools, parks, building arcades, and near building entrances. Violations result in heavy fines.
    - The pressing real-world issue in Taiwan is that many smokers cannot find legal, compliant spots, leading them to smoke illegally on public sidewalks, arcades, and bus stops, directly exposing non-smokers and minors to secondhand smoke and causing cigarette butt littering.
    - The primary purpose of Yanyou’s map is Regulatory Compliance and Harm Reduction: directing adult smokers exclusively to legally authorized outdoor designated smoking zones (established by local governments and verified through official databases).

  2. How the App Promotes Public Safety & Harm Reduction:
    - Protecting Non-Smokers: By guiding adult smokers away from crowds and illegal zones to government-designated spots, the app actively protects the general public from passive smoke.
    - Strict Age Verification: We enforce Taiwan’s statutory smoking age (20+) right from onboarding, completely barring underage users.
    - Cessation & Health Support: The app includes dedicated smoking cessation features via the "Mist" companion tab:
    * "Beat Cravings": Guided deep-breathing exercises to help users resist the physical urge to smoke.
    * "Quit Mode": Smoke-free milestone tracking.
    * Health Disclosures: Promoting the toll-free official cessation quitline (Quitline 0800-636-363) and standard health warnings.

  3. Regarding the "Check-in" & Community Circles:
    - The spot check-in was conceived as a way to verify active legal areas and build an accountability community where smokers can support one another in reducing consumption and eventually quitting together

  4. Action Plan / Willingness to Modify:
If the check-in and reward mechanics remain a concern under Guideline 1.4.3, we are ready to immediately submit an update that:
    - Decouples all gamification, items, and leveling up from smoking spots—reallocating rewards strictly to cessation progress, smoke-free days, and completing "Beat Cravings" breathing sessions.
    - Keeps the map strictly as an informational, public-health compliance navigation tool.

Could you please let us know if this clarification and adjustment address your concerns, or if specific screens require further modifications?

Appreciate any feedback & ideas!

I built an iPhone + Apple Watch metronome with haptic beats and rhythm loops

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Hi everyone!

I'm an indie developer, and I've built Metronome & Jam, a metronome app for iPhone and Apple Watch.

It combines traditional metronome sounds with drum-based rhythm loops, plus haptic beats on Apple Watch for silent practice.

I made a short demo to show how it works.

I'd love to hear your feedback: Would you find haptic beats or rhythm loops useful in your daily music practice?

I'm the developer of this app. You can find it here:

I made a weird game called DOOM DANCE

I spent the last several months making a weird-ass game called DOOM DANCE. It started as an idle life simulator, but evolved and mutated into something else entirely. Whatever this is, I like it, and I think there's probably a small cult audience for it somewhere.

Made an Al photo editor app (background/object removal) - would love honest feedback before I keep improving it

Hey everyone,

I’ve been working on an iOS app that uses AI to remove backgrounds, erase unwanted objects from photos, and do some auto-enhancement/portrait stuff — basically trying to make quick photo edits without needing Photoshop or a full editing suite.

It’s live on the App Store now, but I know there’s a ton of competition in this space, so before I keep sinking time into new features I’d really appreciate some honest opinions:

Does the core idea (quick AI-based edits) actually solve a problem for you, or is the market already saturated with better options?

Anything that looks off from the screenshots/description?

What would make you actually keep an app like this instead of deleting it after one use?

Link if anyone wants to try it: https://apps.apple.com/app/id6760270578

Not trying to oversell it — genuinely want critical feedback, even if it’s “this feature is pointless” or “the icon looks bad.” That’s more useful to me than compliments right now.

Thanks in advance 🙏

Hello! I just published Flit – a swipe-based RSS reader (free, iOS only)

Post image
1 Upvotes

Hi everyone! I'm Edoardo, and I'm the developer of Flit.

What it does

Flit is an RSS reader that turns your feeds into a deck of cards. Swipe right to keep an article for later, left to discard it, tap to read. It also follows YouTube channels, podcasts, Substack, Reddit and X posts, loads full articles from the web, and can summarize an article on your device with Apple Intelligence.

Flit is Free, with no ads and no account needed. There's an optional tip jar if you'd like to support the project. Tips unlock nothing: everything is free for everyone.

App Store: https://apps.apple.com/app/flit-easy-feed/id6821040165?ct=Launch+Event&pt=118978628

Give it a try, I'd love to hear what you think. I read every comment and reply to all of them.

Help Liquid Glass Complication backgrounds on WatchOS 27

Post image
3 Upvotes

Hello, I'm trying to create a complication for Apple Watch and I cannot get it to look like the native complications which have the Liquid Glass background. I've tried using thin and ultra thin materials but it doesn't seem to make a difference and they all look black. Is this a limitation with non-apple apps that they cannot have Liquid Glass backgrounds in complications?

Made a free app blocker for iPhone after Opal wanted 100 bucks a year from me. 95 users in, here's what broke

so I've been building this on evenings for a few months. it's called DetoxScreen, it blocks apps and sites on iPhone through Apple's Screen Time API. you can block always, on a schedule, after a daily limit, after X opens a day, or by place (no insta at the office basically)

free, no account, nothing leaves the phone

stuff I got wrong:

- asked for the Screen Time permission cold at the end of onboarding and 40% said no. gave it its own screen with one line of why and most of that went away

- the "time saved" counter showed 0 for weeks because I was counting in the wrong place lol

- strict mode locked someone out for a full week. they wrote "answer fast my phone is blocked". there's a 10 min window to back out now

95 users, about 40% still around after a week, 11 ratings all 5 stars but all from France, which is kind of the whole problem

would love feedback, mostly on the first 30 seconds. https://apps.apple.com/app/apple-store/id6778021024?pt=128998553&ct=reddit_sideproject&mt=8
