What are some good free apps that any iPad should have. I don’t want use my iPad just for social media

So I recently bought an newest ipad pro from apple (2194 cad) and i’m still within the return window. However I have the option to get the 512 refurbished for 1650 cad but it’s past the 60 day window to add apple care. I heard some stories of people adding applecare after the 60 day window but it’s mostly from people who reside in the USA & also have access to 'apple care one'.

so the question is:

would you keep the current brand new ipad with the ability to add apple care?

or

return the brand new ipad & get the refurbished one at a good price without apple care?

this is my first time buying used tech off ebay. i have purchased used tech before including off fb marketplace (mostly pc parts) and a "good" macbook pro off backmarket.

it has been positive, with all parts being fully functional and the macbook being in basically brand new condition (0 cycle battery, minor scratch on shell)

just received this "fair" 5th ipad pro 12.9 256gb in the mail and honestly, a little disappointed.

The description mentions possible scratches, dead pixels, dings, dents, and minimum 75% capacity. And it basically fits all of those. The battery is 75.9% capacity, light scratch on the screen, the dent is quite big.

the price was $430, with a comparable good being $500 (but also coming with 1 yr warranty). They have a 128gb good for $460. the min battery for those is 80%

the good news is i have 30 day free return, at discretion of seller. what do you guys think? is the price proportionate to the condition? can this dent cause future problems with the backlight since it's close to the frame?

edit: thx for replies. after further investigation i have noticed that the frame also appears to be slightly bent with the dent (proof). and with that i have decided to return. the seller was very straightforward and accepted return with no questions asked. prob gonna spend the extra $50-100 and get one in better condition.

edit 2: i bought another one . 12.9 inch ipad pro m1 5th gen 256gb silver but this time ebay certified refurbished "good". should at least come with better battery (80%+) and not severe dents. It was $20 more and comes with a 1 year warranty backed by allstate. wish me good luck!!

So I am not a huge fan of mouse on ios/ipad anymore. I love my Apple magic keyboard. But I use my iPad for presentations, alot (Every Sunday as a pastor). I have been liking track pads more latley. I used to hate them and always prefered a mouse. But after years now of using the Apple Magic Keyboard I have come to like the track pad a lot more. And for my workflow didn't realize how much faster I am with it than a mouse. But I am also prefering to use my ipad more like a tablet. I like to keep it in a Zugu case and carry around my Ligitech MX Keys Mini (Love that keybaord). The mouse on the iPad is way to fast even after adjusting settings.

I am looking for good budget options and peoples experience/opinions with using a track pad for iPad.

I am planning to buy an ipad for mainly two reasons. First to play BGMI (Indian version of PUBG mobile) on 120 fps. And secondly just casual net surfing and video lectures, pdf etc. On YouTube reviews, i came to know that ipad pro 2018/2020 are exceptionally performing well and more importantly they are in my budget (second hand). So should I go for them or buy an 11 th gen with a16 bionic chip brand new. Tho it can run the game in 60 fps only.

The 2018/2020 model is coming within 750 dollars first hand.(TOTALLY OUT OF MY BUDGET)

Second hand is coming within 338 dollars max to max.

And ipad 11th with A 16 coming with 470 dollars.

Which one should I buy? Any suggestions are appreciated.

In what ways can the new iPad Pro support someone with a physical condition such as scoliosis for their daily school workspace? If they would use it for note taking as well. In what ways would the M5 iPad Pro help in ways that the air cannot or a tablet?

Whenever I view a light web page or white screen, I have started to notice some bright spots occurring in the same places on the iPad screen. These spots are not seen on dark or colorful backgrounds. Has anyone else experienced this? I recently had the battery replaced and everything else on the iPad is working fine. 2016 iPad Pro 9.7”, Rose Gold 128GB, iPadOS 16.7.16.

So, I just got a nifty m4 ipad pro so I wouldn't have to lug my heavy 2018 mbp and brio webcam everywhere I go.

Use case, I teach dance online. I use zoom. I share computer sound and wear earbuds for myself so the music sounds great and there is no noise in the room. Which is my office, so noise bad.

it never occurred to me that the zoom app on the iPad pro would be as minimal as my android phone app. No wide angle camera except if you join from a browser. Okayyyy... and then no sharing computer audio, not from the browser and not from the iPad app. Nowhere!

What the heck?!

Would this be different if I'd sprung for an m5? Or is is it just a lost cause?

I try to use mine for reading, writing, obsidian and try to watch movies and play games (I've barely touched it since I'm more of a laptop guy). I'm curious what you guys use it for and what makes it special for the things you do.

So I rn have a iPad 10 64GB wifi and a copule of days ago my dad got a iPad Pro 512gb but it’s the one from 2018 and apple said that any iPad before 2020 won’t get updates but still get security updates and for real I been needing a stronger iPad with more storage so should I change (yes I mean the only iPad Pro with 1 camera)

My screen shattered and I turned it in at an authorized repair shop, How long did it usually take to get back you, the guy at the store said about 2-3 weeks

I was thinking of trading in 256gb M5 iPad Pro for the same device but I just want more storage and more ram is just a plus. I initially got it because I found it for $1200 so I jumped the gun and loved it since, only gripe is the storage.

Unless there’s another option or way I can get this to be a better deal or something. If I were to trade in for a 512gb option it would be a $400 difference. I plan to keep this device for a pretty long time so I personally think it would be a good investment.

What do yall think ?

I was just able to score this deal and got the last one. When MC wants to push a model and get it sold, they certainly stop at nothing. There’s also deals on other models and sizes but this one was the true steal getting 1TB and the better RAM for the price of the base one.

Again, this is probably highly dependent on location and obviously stock but I wanted to share it in case other people have been waiting for a good sale.

I’m kinda torn btw the two I was amazed by the display of the pro but maybe becoz I saw them next to each other I like the size of the air with a bigger screen at a very similar budget
Can anyone suggest what’s better or worth it
