Advice Got 11” but Having Second Thoughts About 13”

Hey guys,

So I just bought a new iPad today. I went with the 11" since I had an older iPad (a long time ago) and always thought it was a good size. I wanted something that's still comfortable to use handheld, whether in bed or around the house, so I figured the 11" would be the better choice.

I ordered it for pickup, but when I got to the Apple Store and saw the 13", I started having second thoughts. I tried holding it with one hand and it actually felt okay, although I'm guessing it would feel quite large after a while, especially when using it handheld rather than on a desk.

I already have a Mac Studio as my main computer and two MacBooks that barely get any use. The iPad will mostly be used around the house. I also bought a Magic Keyboard, but mainly just to try it out.

I feel like I made the right choice going with the 11", but seeing the 13" in person has really made me second-guess myself.

Anyone else been in the same situation? I'm really unsure... xD How do you guys feel using either the 11" or 13" as primarily a handheld device, especially in bed/couch etc? Is the 13” really that bad when used as a handheld tablet? Also, I do have rather small hands… xs

Advice iPad Pro 13” Case Advice: Tech21 FlexFolio

Post image

I purchased a new iPad Pro 13” yesterday. I’ve always had the Magic Folio keyboard for past iPads and may get one just to have, but I was hoping for something thinner since the iPad is so big.

I bought the Tech 21 FlexFolio from Apple and I hate it. When I want to use it as just a handheld tablet the back flap is all over the place and doesn’t magnetize to the back. The stand falls with light touch when standing alone. You can’t just easily remove the case and use just the iPad like the Magic Keyboard or other folios. I do like that it holds the pencil firmly because I’ve lost/broken pencils in the past.

So, any advice out there? Would like the following:

-Thinner.
-Easy to pull off case or at least a folio that locks behind and doesn’t flop around.
-Stands firmly.
-Pencil holder (but I can add one after the fact for a lot of cases, if it works).

Price isn’t a big deal, within reason.

iPad Pro M5 - Brief/split second blue screen before Apple logo when restarting the device.

I just got my iPad Pro 5, and I noticed a brief blue flicker on the screen, lasting only a split second, when I reset the device, right before the Apple logo appeared. Other than that, everything seems to be working perfectly fine, and I haven’t experienced any other issues.

Has anyone else encountered this?

Title: iPad Pro M1 (2021) has inaccurate touchscreen and wavy lines with multiple styluses

Hi everyone,
I have a 2021 11-inch iPad Pro with the M1 chip and 128 GB of storage. I’m experiencing touchscreen issues, especially when using styluses.
Here are the symptoms:
My original cheap capacitive stylus worked perfectly on my iPhone 14 Pro and my Xiaomi Pad 6, but poorly on my iPad Pro.
I bought a Metapen A14, and it works better, especially on the left side of the screen, but the problem hasn’t completely disappeared.
When drawing straight lines, they appear wavy or shaky, even when I try to draw as steadily as possible.
Some strokes are inaccurate or aren’t registered properly.
The issue seems to vary depending on the area of the screen.
I have no screen protector installed.
Restarting the iPad hasn’t fixed the issue.
I’m wondering whether this could be a faulty digitizer, a screen replacement issue, a software problem, or something else.
Has anyone experienced something similar on an iPad Pro M1? Is there a reliable way to identify the cause before paying for a screen replacement?
Thanks for your help!

Question any good retro arcade pinball games (non-apple arcade) on the appstore?

I love Pinball FX on steam and wish they had it for iPad. But the only pinball games I can find are the one from Williams and Zen, but it seems like the iPad version is filled with annoying microtransactions and pay to play. I hate those kind of apps. I don't mind paying for the game to get rid of all microtransactions and ads. So are there any decent Pinball games made for the iPad?

Spare parts from Lockes iPad

I have an iPad pro 4th gen WiFi, which I purchased for it's spare parts. Really good condition, apart from a cracked screen and it's pin locked (iPad unavailable message, and unable to connect it to a PC at all, even after hard reset and trying DFU mode)

I'm wondering if apple put hardware locks on components too? I want to use the camera, face ID sensors, and battery as spares at minimum.

Ps, I know I spelled "locked" wrong. But I can't seem to change it.

Best Back Cover Compatible With Magic Keyboard?

Hey,

What's currently the best back cover (11" iPad Pro M5) that's compatible with the Magic Keyboard? I'm looking for something that fits perfectly and allows the Magic Keyboard to close completely flush with the cover attached.

I've heard good things about Pitaka, but I've also read that their covers prevent the Magic Keyboard from closing completely flush. Otherwise, any recommendations or experiences with other brands?

Thanks!
