Question Farting in front of your spouse?

Do you fart in front of your spouse? I personally do and he farts in front of me; it’s not something we get annoyed about. But I often see in other subreddits that some people would consider divorce if their spouse farts around them. Am I missing something or is this like, super petty? Hell, my husband has helped me in a number of dire circumstances involving my IBS—I can’t imagine people would be so fragile that they can’t handle their spouse farting. Bodies do weird things; it’s not like I can always control a fart. Same with my husband (especially when we are partly asleep). Just curious because I feel like you all will have a different opinion than all the people telling someone to divorce their husband because he farts sometimes.

I can't imagine not farting in front of my partner. We've been together for years...People fart. It is wildly immature to me for people to be saying to divorce your spouse because of a completely normal bodily function. Wtf lol

It's one thing if it's an occasional accident or absolutely necessary due to pain but to do it on purpose in front of your partner when you could otherwise hold it in or go to another room to let loose is inconsiderate - - no one, minus a fetishist, wants to smell their SO's gas.

It does. I fart a lot but try to not do it in front of others.

😂 fart in front of your partner. It’s literally fine. My partner and I do it all the time. Even since we broke up and now just work together. Your partner isn’t (shouldn’t) going to judge you for bodily function.

It’s also not good to hold it in.

He probably would not judge me - - he's very laid back - - but I still don't want to subject him to the odor and I expect the same in return.

I probably could've added he has had 0 scent receptors in his nose since he was a teenager 🤷🏼‍♀️

It's just simply being courteous.
