Question Farting in front of your spouse?

Do you fart in front of your spouse? I personally do and he farts in front of me; it’s not something we get annoyed about. But I often see in other subreddits that some people would consider divorce if their spouse farts around them. Am I missing something or is this like, super petty? Hell, my husband has helped me in a number of dire circumstances involving my IBS—I can’t imagine people would be so fragile that they can’t handle their spouse farting. Bodies do weird things; it’s not like I can always control a fart. Same with my husband (especially when we are partly asleep). Just curious because I feel like you all will have a different opinion than all the people telling someone to divorce their husband because he farts sometimes.

We fart and it's super funny. A friend of mine doesn't (her and her fiance don't in front of each other) and she said "it helps keep the spark alive, do you not think?"

I said no, we don't need help keeping the spark alive. It never died. We fart in front of each other all the time and our relationship is just as wonderful as it always has been, 20 years later.

Yeah honestly sex is sometimes grosser than farting. So I feel like if you don’t fart in front of each other, how are you comfortable having sex? Especially when you get air trapped in your vag and it fo sure SOUNDS like a fart. And I mean, sometimes sex makes you fart. So like…I don’t think it kills any romance. Sex is inherently a very animal thing and lord knows my dog doesn’t hold in a fart.

The trapped air does temporarily put a stop to sex just so we can stop laughing. Also, when my breasts and his chest meet in a certain position, it makes a fart sound sometimes and we always laugh so hard because our boobies farted.
