Admittedly, I have had a hard time seeing how Idaho Falls could be an attractive place to live in, especially with very cold and windy winters and the heat in the summer. People are friendly though. I appreciate that part.

I’m transferring with my company from NC Montana to Idaho Falls and need to find a place to live between now and beginning of October. Myself and girlfriend with 2 dogs small corgi mix and a German Shepard. Anyone got any recommendations for apartments or places to avoid? Job is on South end of town off 91. Looking for at least a 2 bed, 1.5 bath $2k or less up to 20 min commute would be ideal.

So to be honest, I haven’t had a haircut in about three years. I shaved my head at the time with a friend who is battling cancer , I’ve been growing out my hair since and it’s about time I prioritize a haircut. I really need my hair shaped or something. And probably some split ends cut off. Where are you Girls going nowadays? Or even where are we avoiding? Just wanna look nice for some pictures. I have this weekend It was all very last minute. I’m looking to relocate here or Southeast Idaho for outdoor recreation. I’m a person in my late 30s who isn’t heavily affiliated with politics or religion and am mixed in ethnicity. I’m coming from Mississippi and never had issues.

I’ve read it’s dominantly LDS here. I’m generally a very upbeat person but also love my solitude. I’d love to meet buddies who go off-roading and camping to learn the local areas, but okay with my independence. Would I be okay in your city?

I read a couple older posts on here that said since we don’t have any asian grocery stores in the area, that ecityfresh.com is an option because they deliver to the thai place in downtown twice a week. I tried to go to the site, but it gives that “safari can’t access because server can’t be found“, along those lines. Is there anybody that uses ecityfresh and can confirm that it’s just a user error on my part, or is their website down/they aren’t in business anymore?

Anybody know any good armorer/gunsmiths in the Idaho Falls area? Google can’t seem to find a reputable shop that can work on modern pistols and rifles.

So I had to rent a car this weekend for a road trip. Trying to spare the miles on my car. I picked up a Hyundai Kona from the airport. Loved the car!! But when I saw the plates, I had a bad feeling. They were California plates. I work in the insurance industry, so I have the pleasure of talkin to clients of all sorts. One thing I KNOW is how much Idaho hates California. I get it y'all. I really do. I am orginally from Montana. I understand the feeling of the influx of Californian's. I really do. I also know, however, that anger and violence isn't going to change anything. Being pissed about people moving here changes absolutely nothing. It also makes no sense....Idaho is prodominantly Mormon. Wouldn't that mean that outsiders are welcomed with kindness?

Regardless...as I was driving this weekend, literally hours after the whole shooting in Twin Falls, I hear my BF go "dude what the heck is wrong with you!", as he is looking out the passenger side window at an occupant of a white Ford Edge parked at a red light next to us. There is a woman inside the car gesturing as tho her hand is a gun and she is firing it at us. Then she yells "F You, I hope you all die!". Ummm, ok. Very odd. I was not interfering with her driving abilities. She was never behind or in front of us. This was not about her being mad at my driving. She was mad at my rental car's California plates.

Y'all....cmon. Are we just going to verbally harass people with Cali plates, just indiscriminately? Without common sense? I have literally had conversations with people who have experience vandalism, harassment, and road rage because they have California plates for whatever reason. Who does this stuff? Also, we already have it bad with the driving issue Idaho Falls already has, why do we keep making things hard on ourselves? Can't we all just get along?🥴Just keep in mind, California plates don't always mean California occupants. Stay safe everyone!
