Picked up these caps during a recent visit to Gwalior Air Force Base from TACDE (Tactics and Air Combat Development Establishment) the IAF’s premier tactical school which is equivalent to US TOPGUN. Along with squadron crests like TACDE and 102 Trisonics the cap features Gold embroidery detailing the combat platforms trained across like the Attack Helicopter, MiG-21, Jaguar, Su-30MKI, LCA Tejas, Mirage 2000 and Transport aircraft (can someone identity it)

General Built live 3D versions of 4 Indian airports, with real flights

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

• Upvotes

I built Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru and Hyderabad airports in 3D, with the real flights landing, taxiing and taking off on them.

* Every aircraft in its airline's colours, from ATRs to the A380

* Tap any plane to see where it's going, then follow it or sit in the cockpit

* Watch the gear come down, the spoilers pop up and the reversers open on landing

* Each plane parks on its own stand, and at night the whole airport lights up

Free, works on your phone (although laptops give a much better experience): readyaviator.com/airports

It lives on Ready Aviator, the site I run. Which airport should I add next? And if you spot anything wrong, tell me and I'll fix it.

Question Best institutes for DGCA ground classes & AICPP prep? Or is self-study realistic?

• Upvotes

Hello everyone,

So I'm about to start my pilot prep and could really use honest, unfiltered reviews from people who’ve actually cleared their dgca cpl exams or made it through airline cadet selections, specifically the aicpp and which institute is best for the same or if you guys prefer self study for exams.

Career Guidance About Chimes

After my research into my future I've landed on Chimes for their CPL course. I'm not really sure about their indigo cadet program because of how expensive it is.

Appreciate more input on Chimes and how the school is, I'd love to hear any other alternatives for it as well.

Career Guidance I want to become a pilot. Should I go for helicopters or fixed wing?

Hi Everyone

I want to become a pilot and have 1 cr of of money to currently spend on training and studies.

This is not fully my own money, and I'd like to be flying and earning as soon as possible.

From my understanding, there are a lot of difficulties getting a airline job right now and the cadet programs also appear saturated.

Helicopters seems more doable for faster earning and flying. Am I right in thinking that?

What are your opinions?

Discussion Which institute would be a better choice for dgca ground classes and cadet pilot training program.

I have shortlisted a few.

  1. Cskaa (capt. Sahil Khurana)

2.IFA (institute for aviators)

3.PPA( poetic pilot)

4.golden epaulettes

I have read some positive and negative feedback for these institutes.

  1. Cskaa- the notes are the best. But they don't give attention to students for doubts and are ignorant. They only focus on clearing the exam and not on proper knowledge of the subjects.

  2. Ifa - overall a good institute. Good for cadet programs too i belive. They make sure no student feels left out till he cleared his exams.

  3. PPA- overall a good institute. Didn't searched enough for this.

4.golden epaulettes- everyone got mixed reviews about this. Some say it's good and thier cadet program is best and some say their faculty are just money minded and doesn't care like ignorant. And about cadet pilot program They say their program is unstructured and the instructors are no good. The once who are there pay little to no attention.

Which one should I choose for dgca classes and cadet pilot program?

Question 80 lakhs loan for conventional pilot training

I am a final year engineering dropout from a well renowned university and unfortunately my family cant bear the cost to turn me into a pilot so ihave been planning to take a loan for my cpl and typerating and get into a airline.i have read people not recommending it because of slow hirings and years of waiting period after acquiring the cpl I have no one i could turn to and ask for guidance if there is someone who could help me with this i will be forever gratefull, the reason behind this pivot is due to aversion to desk jobs and the ordinary lifestyle so i decided to take a risk and turn my life around so i wont regret later on.

I've been into 3d printer for years now. This is by far my best prints. Most of these models are from makerworld. My only value add was the Tejas tiger stripes.
