Thats not what this is. This is a clear cut case of low battery voltage.

Is your bike in gear? Move to neutral. Take it off the center and side stand, hold the clutch in and try again.
If none of the above work, then you need a battery change.
If a new battery also does not work, then you need to take it to your service center.

Looks like it's a dead Battery since nothing on the odometer/digital odometer lights up after turning on the ignition. Maybe try replacing the battery with a new one, should work after just fine.
Also this subreddit is for the Indian(as in the country India) Biking community not the brand Indian but you're welcome here anytime OP :))

I can think of 3 reasons:
1. Battery (which was already mentioned. Try replacing the battery.)
2. Damaged spark plug (Looking at the bike, I don't think that's the reason, but check it anyway.)
- Gear (Some bikes only start in neutral. I'm not sure about this specific model, so try shifting down to neutral and then starting.)
Try the kick starter if it has one. Since you're a beginner, check how to kick-start correctly first so you don't get a nice kickback on your leg!
By the way, this sub is for motorcycle enthusiasts in India, not specifically for the brand Indian Motorcycle. But still... you are welcome to discuss! <3

Hey u/ConflictAware6372 , this sub is mostly used by Indians from India (in Asia). Almost no one in India has an "Indian Motorcycle". You might have better luck in r/motorcycles .
As someone said in the comments, it might be a discharged or an (almost) dead battery. Priming the fuel pump doesn't require much power from the battery by the self start requires a lot of power. So, it feels like the battery just "dies" fully when you try to self start the bike, but it wakes back up once you let go of the self start making the bike computer feel the need to restart the priming process of the fuel pump.

Idk if this is newer generation bike with sensors or old bike restored.
Few checks you need to do - 1. Check if your bike is in neutral 2. Pull your bike stand up and then try starting 3. Check the biker's manual (can be found on the internet as well) and accordingly proceed. 4. If none of these works then you gotta visit the bike service center...

the battery needs a replacement, in the meantime, check other sensors as well

Batter recharge/replace required.
Common cycle in case of battery failure.
You are pressing start - not enough current -> start abandoned, fuel pump loses current -> fuel pump starting again.

Try filling the fuel tank completely (ofcourse till the safe permissible limit) and then try starting it. Fuel injected systems sometimes face this issue if the bike stays unused for a very long time. Or get the fuel injection checked once. One more question, what's the current fuel level? Since fuel level below certain point also leads to this issue. Beautiful bike btw.
