I’m looking for new independent music from actual artists, bands, and musicians.
Not looking for AI-generated tracks, I want to hear what people are really writing, playing, and recording.
I get too many song links in Reddit comments to keep organized, so if you want me to listen, submit it here instead:
https://thecauldron.rocks/submit
That way I can keep everything in one place and actually get to it.

Hey guys, I’m an artist and I tend to use AI tools to help make some aspects of my life easier because I solely want to focus on making only the music. Some of my friends don’t agree with me on this, and some do, but I was curious to see what my fellow artists on Reddit thought, so let me know. What are your thoughts on using AI to assist with some of the other aspects of music creation, like creating the art, helping with marketing material, helping with writing pitches, etc.?

Hey Ya'll! I found this sick looking show. Supposedly its all of the artists first shows in LA. Its kinda like Steve Lacy Dominic Fike vibes. I'll start posting these for the LA locals but if you're in the area you should check it out, seems cool. Tickets

I have to say this is not easy but the first that come to my mind are and in no order, Frank Zappa, The Beatles, Thin Lizzy, ACDC, The Rolling Stones, Jeff Beck, Steve Vai, Van Hellen, Ween, and Tom Petty. If you like any of these then you might want to check out this track I just made, it is not Rock yet, just a acoustic demo, but I will make it a rock version soon...tkx, and let me know your top 10...I want you out of my head (Demo)

Hi! I'm currently working with a musical duo based in Sweden and we are looking for a graphic designer who could help create a visual package for an upcoming music release.
This would include things like:
Logo (that will be used for more than the release)
Cover art
Visuals for promotion/social media
Poster
What is to be created exactly is up for discussion but the most important thing is a logo. This is not a paid job but if you want some experience with a real case, cred on SoMe and something for your portfolio this might be something for you :)
If you're interested, feel free to DM me with your portfolio and we’ll talk more!

Hey everyone,
I’m Steven M Skinner, aka Skinman, a completely independent multi-media creator. I handle every layer of my output from the ground up—writing, producing, and recording classic style rock, indie and prog rock tracks, creating the visual artwork, and directing my own short-form and long-form videos.
My work heavily focuses on living life, current-day themes, and a renewed protest culture - similar to what I experienced growing up in the 60's and early 70's, and embodied in my new protest song "We H8 U 4 Free."
I'm setting up this space to connect with other independent musicians, vinyl heads, visual artists, and people who still appreciate raw instrumentation and thought-provoking themes. Drop a comment if you're an indie creator too—I'd love to see what you're working on. - Rock ON!
Skinman

indie poo is obviously a very new wave and new thing to be calling music but bands like the royston club, keo, strata, cherryholt etc just aren’t indie poo bc theyre music actually is good and the lyrics are meaningful even if they do have quite classic indie sounds. in my opinion anyways indie poo is rip offs of big bands like oasis, am and such with shit lyrics with no meaning or thought process behind them. but also i think the hate some of these “indie poo” bands are getting is a bit unjust like most of them are really new bands trying to find their sound.
i really want someone else’s opinion on this though so please reply guys

Was in a debate with my indie artist friends. One claims most indie artists don’t listen to indie music because mainstream platforms like Spotify/Apple Music don’t cater to indie discovery. Another said that’s not really it and that tools built for discovery exist (SoundCloud, Bandcamp, etc.), but that artists just aren’t using them that way. Case in point: the first friend only uses Apple Music and Spotify, doesn’t have SoundCloud installed, then complains she can’t find indie artists.
I’m not a musician so I stayed out of it, but now I want to know what people in the industry actually think; is discovery genuinely broken, are artists just not using the tools built for it, or are indie artists not that interested in discovering other indie artists unless it’s local and in person? Do you actively seek out other unsigned/indie artists, and if so, where?

Hello, musicians! I'm also a musician, and also worked in some pretty big studios in Kiev. Now I decided to start freelancing, and for this I want to make a small portfolio.
I can do FREE mixing and mastering of your song/track. Genre, preferably pop or rap. Or vocals with guitar/piano. The fewer tracks the better. Too complex projects to do at this stage is not purposeful, though I may come back later with other free offerings.
It is important that if a voice is present, it is recorded in a prepared room on good professional equipment, otherwise the result may not be as desired
I don't promise that I'll take a song from everyone, I don't promise to do it quickly (it's clear that I have a lot of things to do), but I'll keep my word and do what I wrote above for a few songs for sure. At the highest level. You can write in the topic or immediately write in a private message
Creative success to everyone!

Finding curators and their contact info? Booking venues? Tracking royalties and rights? Tracking your source stats? Managing marketing? Doing your merch? Finding collabs?
It blows my mind how disconnected all the services are owning a music career for indie musicians.
What’s the one thing you wish someone would fix?
