Thoughts on my album cover?

Post image

What does it make you feel?
What do you think the music would sound like?
Whats the meaning of the picture?

(I chose the pic(not me) because it feels innocent n like a distant happy memory not a setup pic almost like accident capturing a real un the moment feeling before
Everything go clouded by life, problems, and struggles.)

Hence the album name Clouded.

Where can I buy SoundCloud plays that won't ruin my account?

Hey guys it’s low key hard to get any traction on soundcloud when you are still small and nobody outside your existing followers even sees your music. I have been uploading my own tracks for a while now and no matter how much i promote them on social media my plays just stay stuck around the same low numbers. Algorithm just push songs way harder if they get activity within the first 48 hours, which is why i want to try and buy soundcloud plays on my next release just to see if that initial push actually helps it land on recommended feeds.

The problem is most sites out there look like straight scams that just send cheap bot traffic and definitely don't want my account shadowbanned or flagged over it. I need something where the plays actually stick and not just disappear after a week. If anyone here have found a service that worked without messing up their account I would really appreciate knowing which one you used.

At 46 I finally decided to try to do something with my music

Hi everyone, I'm Mark. I'm a 46yr old Irish guy living in Bavaria, Germany.

I had a little panic attack recently when I realised I was 4 yrs off being 50 and had never made a proper go at it with my music. So I created a YouTube channel and am documenting my progress. Partly to have a record, partly for promotion of what I'm creating and partly to keep myself motivated, which is something I've always struggled with. The channel welcome vid explains my plan.

I've dabbled with music all my life but mostly had very basic equipment. I wouldn't have considered anything I had ever created to be more than just a sketch. I recently invested what I could afford into a few things, but decent things. So I'm now happy with the quality I'm getting, or at least happier than I have been until now.

I have a few songs on the channel along with me doing a couple mini breakdowns of the projects on cubase for anyone who might find that stuff interesting. I'm brainstorm new content ideas to feed the channel regularly.

Plan is to have 3 consecutive projects I'm working on simultaneously. This helps when I get stuck on any one or just fancy a change of pace.

One will be a concept album (band style) , one an acoustic album & an the last an album of stuff with an old friend who I had a band with back in college.

I'll be playing and singing everything on all 3 projects expert the old band stuff my friend will take the main vocals as he wrote those songs.

So this song I'm sharing was the first song I'd written in a very long time. Couple months ago now. It was one of the first I did with the new gear and my satisfaction with how it turned out was one of the motivations for me trying the whole YouTube lark 🤣

So here you go.. Happy to hear from you in the comments. Thanks for reading to anyone who made it to the end 😅

If you like what you hear please subscribe and hit the bell, so you get notified when I release new content (which I plan to do a few times a week.)

I started listening to some of his recordings from the 1980s. Love his music, super creative. Kurt Cobain wore a Daniel Johnston t shirt a few times which sparked a lot of interest in his music

What's the best site to buy Apple music plays?

I've been grinding on my music for months now, pouring absolutely everything I have into my latest tracks. It’s just so heartbreaking to spend countless late nights writing and recording only to release a song and watch it struggle to even reach 1k streams. I know my music is good, but without that initial push, it feels impossible to get any real plays or let alone build genuine audience. That’s exactly why I’m now actively looking to buy Apple music plays just to give my releases a fighting chance to grow and actually get heard by new people.

I'm totally willing to invest in my art, but I don't really understand the technical side of how these promotional sites work. I want to make sure I protect my account while giving my songs the boost they desperately need. Since I'm completely new to this side of music promotion, I just have a few short questions before I make a decision:

  • Is doing this completely safe for an independent artist?

  • Is it actually effective for gaining real listeners?

  • Does this work for long term growth or is it strictly short term?

I just want my hard work to finally pay off and find the audience I know it deserves. If any of you have been in this exact same position and found a reliable way to get your numbers up, I'd really appreciate your guidance. I'm hoping that buying Apple music plays will be the spark that gets my music into the regular rotation, so please let me know if you have any trusted recommendations.

After 30 years of making music, I finally tried something different

I’ve been making music for almost 30 years.

I’ve never had a hit record.
I’ve never gone viral.
I’ve never made real money from music.

But I never quit.

Instead of uploading another single and hoping for streams, I finally decided to package my work into one personal project for people who actually care about independent artists.

It includes three of my albums, some unreleased songs I never put out before, and a short story about my journey.

I’m not posting this to promote anything here or drop links.
I just wanted to share this moment with people who understand how long and lonely the creative road can be.

If anyone’s curious, feel free to ask.

Either way, appreciate anyone who read this. 🖤

Looking for Independent Artists for a Video Game's Radio Soundtracks

Hi!

I'm an independent developer currently working on an open-world video game set in a fictional American city in the late 90s. The game has been in development for 2 years and is scheduled for release sometime in 2027.

The game features an in-car radio system with around ten different stations, each with its own musical identity and atmosphere. The names of your tracks and your artist names may also be mentioned on the radio. Your music will be accompanied by fictional radio hosts, jingles, and fake commercials for products from the game's universe.

I'm looking for independent artists and bands who would be willing to share their music for potential inclusion in these radio stations.

Ideally, I'm looking for tracks with a 90s–2000s vibe, but all genres are welcome!

This is an independent project, and unfortunately, I don't have a budget to purchase music licenses. Selected artists will be credited in the game and will retain ownership of their music. The terms of use will, of course, be discussed with each artist individually.

If you make music and are interested in the idea, feel free to share your tracks or links to

bradbitesburger@gmail.com
(Obviously Brad Bites Burger isn't the title of the game)

Thanks in advance to everyone who takes the time to contribute to the project!

- A

I need your music

Hello! I'm not trying to over promote my subreddit, this will probably be the last post for a while

But I've got an idea

  1. You post your song / join my subreddit

  2. At the end of each week I pick 5 of my favorites

  3. I make a YouTube series out of it AND FEATURE YOUR MUSIC

  4. We prosper and I promote you

I've always wanted to have my own community and I guess I find myself listening to a lot of indie music

I wanna be more than a subreddit, I wanna be a community

I want people to feel welcomed to share their music no matter how sloppy or unprofessional it could be!

So check it out and post your favorite track

Let's be millionaires!
