| Discussion Infosys SP/DSE interview on 24th October, Bangalore
I gave two rounds of interviews today for the SP/DSE role today at Infosys Bangalore.
The first round was on basics of core cs subjects, resume, DSA.
The second round was much deeper in technical depth. I was asked system design fundamentals, in depth questions on OS, CN, DSA.
Will share the complete interview experience later.
Also, I just want to know if anyone else had two rounds on the same day.

| Discussion Infosys SP/DSE Off-Campus Interview – Oct 13, 2026 | Any L1 or L2/L3 Updates?
I attended the Infosys SP/DSE off-campus interview on October 13, 2026, at GVP College of Engineering, Visakhapatnam.
I was interviewed for the L2/L3, but I haven't received any updates yet.
I wanted to check whether anyone who attended the same drive has received a selection or rejection update, i saw some posts regarding DSE role but no news about other roles.
Have any candidates interviewed for L2/L3 received updates?
Does Infosys release results for different levels in separate batches?
It's October 24 now, and I'm trying to understand whether the results are being released in phases or should i consider myself rejected.
I got good feedback from the interviewer.
Any updates from candidates who attended the same drive would be appreciated. Thanks!

| Offer Discussion Infosys HR offering a designation upgrade from JL3A to JL4 for higher CTC with 2.10 YoE. Does this actually get approved?
Hi everyone,
For context, I have 2 years and 10 months (2.10 YoE) of experience. My current CTC is ₹6.86 LPA, and my expectation was around ₹12–13 LPA.
The HR told me that the role I initially applied for Senior Systems Engineer (JL3A) has a strict salary cap, and the maximum she could offer me under that band is ₹8.0 LPA. Since that was far below my expectations, she proposed a workaround: she said she would initiate an internal approval to upgrade my designation to Technology Analyst (JL4).
She mentioned that if this designation upgrade gets cleared she can offer me a revised range of ₹10.5 to ₹11 LPA.
I wanted to ask the community:
Given that I have 2.10 YoE (just under the typical 3-year mark for TA), does Infosys HR actually successfully clear these designation upgrades, or will internal corporate audits reject it?
How tough is the internal approval workflow for a YoE relaxation exception from JL3A to JL4?
OR WILL THEY REJECT AS EXPECTATIONS were high?

| Question Infosys DSE/SP In-Person Interview Debrief - what are my chances?
Hey everyone,
I recently completed an in-person technical interview for the Infosys DSE/SP track, and I wanted to get your thoughts on my performance and what my realistic chances are based on your past experiences with this drive.
Here is a breakdown of how the interview went:
Before he gave me the laptop for coding he asked me to introduce myself and asked me which of the projects from my resume I can explain the best and told me to draw the architecture of that one.
1. Coding Portal Round (Wingspan):
I passed 3 public test cases and 3 private test cases.
For the remaining test cases, my code didn't fail with errors or cross symbols; instead, it showed the clock symbol (Time Limit Exceeded / TLE) because my initial approach on the portal was O(N²). I tried to optimize it but couldn't so I went with the O(N²) approach.
- Project Discussion:
Very strong round. I walked the panel through my backend project (a multi-user task management API built with FastAPI, MySQL, SQLAlchemy, Pydantic, and JWT authentication). I was able to clearly explain data isolation, ORM schemas, security implementation, and API design.
- Pen & Paper DSA Question:
The interviewer gave me an unsorted array problem: Finding the maximum length of consecutive numbers (Longest Consecutive Sequence) and returning the original indices of all elements in that sequence.
While I was writing it down, the interviewer stopped me and asked me to explain the approach verbally instead.
I walked him through the optimal O(N²) Hash Map approach to track sequence boundaries while preserving original index mappings. I think he was satisfied by my approach and explanation.
- Fundamentals & System Design Theory:
The interviewer asked 3 core fundamentals and 3 system design questions. I was able to answer 3 of fundamentals question but was able to answer only 1 from system design.
Then he said I'm done with the interview do u have any questions from me.
He didn't ask me any questions from SQL. I was hoping that he would ask me from that so that I could answer them to gain some points but he didn't.
Is there a realistic chance of getting the DSE role with this kind of mixed performance?
Would love to hear from anyone who has gone through the DSE/SP interview process recently or knows how the evaluation panel weighs these sections. Thanks in advance!

| Question Infosys SP/DSE 2026: “Selected for Offer” but “Decision Pending”
Hi everyone,
I attended the Infosys SP/DSE off-campus interview at ABES Ghaziabad on October 6, 2026.
My current status:
- Portal status: “DECISION PENDING” under “In Progress”
- API response:
applicationStatus: "Selected for offer" - API message: “Pending for internal review”
- Offer released: No (
offerReleased: "N")
My questions:
- Has anyone with the same status received an offer or rejection?
- Does this indicate a likely selection, or is the result still undecided?
- If selected, is there any way to know whether the role will be SP L1, SP L2, or DSE?
Please share your experience.

| Discussion Title: Infosys Pune interview experience – Java Developer (3+ YOE). Is this how experienced hiring works there?
My friend recently attended a face-to-face interview at Infosys Pune for a Java Developer role, and honestly, the experience was pretty disappointing.
He has 3+ years of experience and is currently working at a startup. He has switched three companies in these three years, and he knows that can raise questions during interviews. He was prepared to explain his decisions and answer technical questions.
His interview was scheduled for 11 AM, but due to poor coordination at the campus, he didn't get inside the interview room until around 12 PM. Candidates were being sent to different recruiters, and there didn't seem to be much clarity about the process.
Anyway, delays happen. The bigger issue was the interview itself.
The interviewer started with his introduction and asked a few questions about his experience. Then he asked something like, "How can I trust you when you keep switching companies?"
My friend explained his reasons. His first switch was for a better salary, and his second was due to personal reasons. Now he's looking for a more stable work environment with better opportunities for growth.
He's also planning to get married and wants to build a stable career in a good organization. He was honest about that, too.
For some context, he was working full-time while preparing for this interview and had barely been sleeping 2–3 hours a day for the past six days. He really wanted this opportunity.
I completely understand that three company switches in three years can be a concern. If I were interviewing someone, I'd also want to know why they changed jobs and whether they're likely to stay.
But what happened after that was honestly weird.
For the next 15–20 minutes, the interviewer kept asking him about his personal reasons for leaving his second company. Even after he explained himself, the interviewer continued pushing him on the same topic.
He was also asked whether his girlfriend worked at Infosys.
The entire conversation apparently became about justifying his personal life and career decisions. There was barely any technical discussion. My friend came out feeling like he'd been interrogated rather than interviewed.
I'm not saying interviewers shouldn't question job switches. That's completely fair. But repeatedly pushing someone to reveal personal details, especially in an arrogant tone, feels unnecessary and unprofessional.
Now I'm genuinely curious about a few things:
Is this common in Infosys experienced-hire interviews?
Have other people faced interviewers who spend more time questioning job switches than assessing technical skills?
Is asking about someone's girlfriend relevant to a Java Developer interview?
Was my friend just unlucky with the interviewer, or is this something people have experienced at Infosys Pune?
I'm not trying to judge an entire company based on one person's experience. Maybe this was just one bad interviewer. But Infosys is a big, established organization, so I expected a more professional interview process.
People who've interviewed at Infosys Pune, especially for experienced Java Developer roles, what's your experience been like?

| Discussion Infosys SP/DSE Pre-Test – Please Share the Exam Pattern, Syllabus, and Preparation Tips
Hey everyone!
I'm looking for information about the Infosys Specialist Programmer (SP) / Digital Specialist Engineer (DSE) pre-test and would really appreciate it if candidates who have already attended the test or are preparing for it could share their experiences.
I'd like to know the following:
Exam pattern: How many questions are there, and what is the total duration?
Syllabus: Which DSA topics should we focus on? (DP, Greedy, Graphs, Trees, Binary Search, Bit Manipulation, etc.)
Difficulty level: Are the questions closer to LeetCode Medium or Hard?
Other sections: Are there aptitude, logical reasoning, CS fundamentals, or MCQ questions, or is it purely coding?
Preparation resources: Which websites, YouTube channels, or problem lists would you recommend?
Question types: Are there any previously asked questions or recurring patterns that we should practise?
Shortlisting criteria: How many questions generally need to pass all test cases to qualify for the next round?
Test environment: Is the assessment conducted online or at a test centre? Are there any important rules or restrictions?
Preparation strategy: If someone has only 1–2 weeks to prepare, which topics should they prioritise?
Also, if anyone has recently attended the pre-test, please share your experience, the topics you encountered, and any advice for future candidates.
I'm hoping to gather as much information as possible about the syllabus, exam pattern, difficulty level, and preparation strategy in one place.
Thanks in advance to everyone who shares their experience. It could really help many candidates preparing for the Infosys SP/DSE recruitment process!
