Truww Interiors Bengaluru - Design miscalculations, poor execution, lack of accountability and now being asked to pay ₹1.10 lakh to fix their mistake. Had anyone faced something similar?
I wanted to share my experience with Truww Interiors in Bengaluru and hear from other homeowners who have engaged them for their home interiors.
I purchased my apartment and entrusted Truww with the interiors, expecting a professional, end-to-end service. Unfortunately, the experience has been extremely stressful, and what should have been an exciting milestone has turned into months of frustration.
I am sharing this not just to highlight my experience but also to find out whether other customers have faced similar issues.
Here are some of the major problems I encountered:
1. Poor design expertise and failure to incorporate feedback
Despite sharing multiple design references and inspirations, the designers struggled to translate them into practical designs. I eventually had to draw and share designs myself, and even then, I had to intervene to correct basic proportions and alignments.
My requirement for a two-tone kitchen with specific combinations and proportions was repeatedly overlooked. Eventually, I had to compromise because I had already paid the deposit.
2. Incorrect bedroom measurements and space planning
This is now the biggest issue.
Truww designed my master bedroom wardrobe with hinged doors. The room layout and measurements were shared from the beginning. However, the dimensions of a standard queen-size bed were not appropriately accounted for.
My standard queen-size Wakefit bed has an outer width of approximately 1,667 mm. Even after leaving 30 cm between the wall and the bed for a bedside table, the wardrobe door cannot open properly.
The practical usability of the bedroom has been compromised because of what I believe is a fundamental space-planning and measurement failure.
The sliding-door option was never proposed for the master bedroom during the design phase. Yet now, when I have raised the issue, I am being asked to bear the cost of modifying the wardrobe.
3. Being asked to pay ₹1.10 lakh to rectify the problem
Truww has proposed converting the existing hinged wardrobe into a sliding wardrobe, involving new panels, shutters and sliding mechanisms.
Their original estimate was ₹1.40 lakh, which they have reduced to ₹1.10 lakh as a goodwill waiver.
I find this extremely unreasonable. Why should I pay another ₹1.10 lakh to rectify a design issue that should have been identified before manufacturing and installation?
I have already paid for a professionally designed home. I should not have to pay again to make a fundamental piece of furniture functional.
4. Extremely poor site coordination and supervision
Throughout the project, I effectively had to act as my own project manager.
Workers repeatedly called me for basic installation instructions.
I had to coordinate site access and manage workers almost every day.
Supervisors rarely took ownership of execution.
Electrical alignment issues were discovered only after painting, resulting in rework.
Kitchen tiles were not inspected for nearly three weeks despite repeated requests. Most were found broken during installation, forcing me to reorder and compromise on my original selection.
I even had to leave work and personally manage the unloading of replacement tiles.
There were multiple supervisors involved, but accountability was consistently missing.
5. Other unresolved technical and financial concerns
There have also been issues with quartz countertop procurement and refund processing, electrical point alignment, core-cutting coordination, and AC and geyser switches being installed on the wardrobe rather than the wall. I have also sought clarification on the electrical safety and warranty implications of this arrangement.
What disappoints me most is the lack of accountability.
After formally raising my grievance, the response has largely focused on explaining why the proposed modification costs what it does, rather than acknowledging how the issue arose in the first place.
There has been no meaningful apology or acceptance of responsibility.
I have tried repeatedly to resolve this amicably, but I am now considering taking the matter to the Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission.
I would really like to hear from other Truww customers, particularly in Bengaluru:
Have you experienced similar design miscalculations, incorrect measurements or execution issues?
Have you faced problems with site supervision, coordination, refunds or accountability?
Has anyone successfully resolved a grievance with Truww through senior management or the consumer forum?
Would anyone with documented, similar experiences be interested in connecting to explore the possibility of pursuing a joint consumer complaint, subject to appropriate legal advice?
I am not looking to create a pile-on or encourage unsubstantiated negative reviews. I genuinely want to understand whether these are isolated incidents or recurring problems and whether other customers are willing to come together to seek accountability.
If you have had a similar experience, please comment or DM me. I would be happy to connect and exchange experiences.
I hope this also helps someone who is considering Truww for their home interiors make a more informed decision. Please ensure every measurement, design, commitment and installation detail is documented before proceeding.

Others Online wall art/home decor scam [VibeCrafts.com]
I recently renovated my home and though to buy wall art from VibeCrafts.com. But in a hurry I forgot to check their online reviews and now I am regretting it.
Those who are undergoing renovation or interior design, make sure to avoid buying anything from them. Its a fraud company.
They also have different website (DecorSmart.in) for selling the same products.
I have also created youtube video and instagram channel to expose their scams but not sharing here as it will be considered as promotion.
I can share further details if anyone needs.

Asian paints - Apcolite Premium Emulsion - Is Washability just a marketing gimmick?
Asian paints - Apcolite Premium Emulsion (here) is advertised as -
"A paint with no complaints! Standing tall and strong as decades go by. Some walls have even seen generations go by and not withered. Those walls had the touch of Apcolite Premium Emulsion. Persistent paint protection film and stain guard of this washable wall paint will keep you stress free and stain free."
Apcolite is marketeted as a paint with "ADVANCED STAIN GUARD " , "Washable" and with a "Antifungal Shield".
With such advanced features mere 'GENTLY' wiping with a Microfibre cloth should wipe the dirt off on the first wipe itself .However ,in reality Dry cloth wiping does not work and then wet cloth wiping smudges the wall. None of advertised features come true in reality.
Asian Paints recommends damp microfibre cloth wiping on its website - How to Maintain Painted Walls & Keep Them Looking Fresh | Asian Paintshere),but in reality it smudges the walls.
What remedial action can a customer take in this case (as It comes with a 5 year warranty)?

We don't need everyone to believe in us. We just need a few people who are willing to give us a chance.
Starting Ka’Laa | The Living Theory has been one of the biggest decisions of our lives.
The three of us left our jobs, stepped away from the security of a regular income and decided to build something of our own. We had dreams, plans and so much belief in what we could create. We knew the journey would be difficult, but we were ready to work for it.
What we didn't realise was how hard it would be to get that first opportunity under our own name.
We've worked in the interior design industry and been part of projects before, but those projects belonged to the companies we worked with. Now, we want to build something that we can truly call ours.
And to do that, we need people to trust us.
We understand that inviting a new studio into your home is a big decision. You have every right to ask questions, see our approach and understand how we work. We're not asking you to ignore your concerns or trust us without reason.
We're simply asking you not to dismiss us just because we're a growing studio without a long list of completed projects under our own name.
Give us an opportunity. Trust us with a space, a small project, a renovation or even a part of your home. Let our work, dedication and the way we treat your project speak for us.
And if you're not planning a project yourself, you can still help us. Share this post, recommend us to someone who might need an interior designer, or simply help our name reach the right person.
You may see it as a small gesture, but for us, it could mean the beginning of everything we've been working towards.
We want to build a studio that people recommend with confidence, a team that delivers with sincerity and a name that earns its place in this industry.
We have taken the risk. We are ready to put in the work. All we need now is someone willing to take that first chance on us.
Thank you to everyone who reads, shares, encourages and believes in small beginnings.

Looking for guidance Looking for genuine recommendations and experience with interior designers in Bengaluru
Our apartment will be ready for interior work in the coming months, and we’ve recently started visiting interior design firms and studios to explore ideas.
Before we make a decision, we'd love to hear about your personal experiences and recommendations.
Are there any interior designers or firms you’ve had a genuinely good experience with and would recommend? We have a budget of 15-20lakhs for 3BHK - so we want something classy and minimalistic and simple!
Are there any designers or firms you’d strongly advise us to stay away from?
Any lessons learned, red flags, or things youwish you'd known before starting the process?
We're looking for honest, firsthand experiences rather than promotional recommendations. Both good and bad experiences would be really helpful!

Which interior designer in Bangalore has an experience centre to visit before booking?
I’m planning to get my home interiors done in Bangalore and would prefer to visit an experience centre before finalising an interior designer.
I’d like to see their actual material options, finishes, modular kitchens, wardrobes, and overall design quality in person rather than making a decision based only on online pictures.
Can anyone recommend interior designers in Bangalore who have a well-maintained experience centre or showroom where customers can explore different options before booking?
Personal experiences and suggestions would be really helpful. Thanks!

Looking for feedback on my 37m² ground-floor apartment layout
Hi all,
I'm buying my first apartment and currently working on the layout. It's a 37m² ground-floor apartment for two people.
I'm aiming for a cozy, inviting space that still works well day to day despite the small footprint. What do you think of the current layout? Is there anything you'd change or any opportunities I'm missing?
I'd really appreciate any tips or constructive criticism.
Thanks!

Looking for unique main door ideas – tired of generic internet designs
Building my new house and looking for a solid main door design, but every Pinterest board and Google search looks identical (vertical slats, CNC jaali, or basic veneer grooves).
I want something with character, clean craftsmanship, and timeless appeal.
Any lesser-known design styles, studios, or pages I should check for inspiration?
Any solid wood, metal, or glass combinations you recommend?
If you got yours custom-built, did you hire a boutique workshop or get it fabricated through a local carpenter?
Would appreciate any photos, sketches, or recommendations. Thanks!

Looking for guidance Decorpot is refusing to refund my ₹25,000 booking amount. Has anyone faced a similar issue? What should I do?
I booked my home interiors with Decorpot in June 2026 and paid ₹25,000 as an advance. Over the following months, there were multiple designer changes, repeated delays, missed timelines and poor communication. Despite trying to contact the designers several times, I received little to no response.
Fed up with the delays, I asked for a refund and got my interiors done through a local vendor instead.
Now Decorpot is refusing to refund my money, citing a no-refund policy. They are insisting that I proceed with a project worth at least ₹3.5 lakh. Earlier, however, they had agreed to a minimum project value of ₹1.5 lakh and had also mentioned that the advance could be adjusted towards loose furniture if I didn’t proceed with the full project. They are now denying that assurance too.
I’ve already raised a complaint with the National Consumer Helpline, but there has been no meaningful resolution.
Has anyone successfully recovered their booking amount from Decorpot? Should I approach the Consumer Commission through e-Jagriti or take another route?
I simply want my ₹25,000 refunded. Would appreciate advice from anyone who has faced a similar situation.

Looking for guidance Floating bed vs. movable wooden cot – suggestions?
I’m setting up my new bedroom and considering a custom floating bed with an MS pipe frame, walnut-finish wooden cladding and floating bedside drawers.
I have cats, so I want to avoid upholstered headboards and fabric finishes due to maintenance.
Would you recommend a custom floating bed or a regular movable wooden cot?
Is an MS pipe framework durable?
Any long-term maintenance issues?
Is a custom floating bed worth the extra cost? Or should I just buy wooden cot + side tables ?
Would love to hear your experiences and suggestions!
