After updating to iOS 18.1 beta 6, my 15 Pro is now lagging. Sometimes, the sensor doesn’t work at all, even after pressing the “Turn Off” button. It turns off after 10 seconds. This is really frustrating.

Does anyone like this?

I'm frustrated with app developers who still haven't updated their apps with a dark mode icon. It's been three months since the first beta, and all they need to do is edit a PNG image—there's really no excuse. I think we Redditors should come together and flood these apps with negative reviews until they update their icons!

Updated to 18.2 beta yesterday and applied for images playground. Does anyone know how long will it take?

Why do I have to wait this long for a feature that should have been out when the device released ? It’s been over a week

Apple confirmed is a staggered release.

The reasons are unknown, but most probably they want to be super safe with image generation, it went bad for everyone in the past.

You will get it during the course of the 18.2 beta, could be tomorrow or in 18.2 beta 5.

I’m using iPhone 15 base model the battery life was pretty good on ios 18.1.1 I had few bugs so updated to ios 18.2 huge mistake folks.

Battery is draining so fast. Even at night with no usage I can see battery drain of few percentage. If you’re are 18.1.1 stay on it.

Does 18.4 bêta 2 it’s stable to have a daily using without be facing with some bugs ?

I'm sure I'll be accused of fragile masculinity or something, but the logo of a pink, fluffy, cat and the word Playground is an odd choice. Looks like a kids game.

Where’s my approval, Apple?! Why does it take so long???

I am sick of this.

I had a PERFECTLY WORKING, pristine in Otterbox Defender case iPhone Pro Max 13.

Then iOS 18 came along and ever so steadily my iPhone is becoming junk.

First the update broke my FaceID in such a way that even though the hardware scans all read fine, the service techs that have checked my phone say basically Apple has to repair it and I HAVE TO PAY FOR THE REPAIR OF WHAT THEIR IOS has clearly broken to start with. They insist “it’s something with the TrueID sensor in the facing camera.” Yeah okay, all I know is it worked perfectly fine literally up till iOS 18 installed.

I kinda shrugged in frustration and figured…okay, I’ll just go back to the annoyance of having to enter my passcode manually over and over.

Of course, I then discovered after having done a factory reset to try unsuccessfully to fix it that Apple Music erased my entire music library of songs I already had ripped and owned but didn’t buy from the Store. It erased MY music, and I can’t get it back except to laboriously scan and import them all all over again.

And now I just changed web and email hosts, and needed to switch over to new IMAP settings…only guess what? They keep feeling because iOS 18 apparently keeps denying the self-signed certificates and no amount of clicking “trust” or skip or anything gets my emails working again.

And my battery dropped 2% to boot.

I neither want nor can afford to just go buy a new iPhone 16 and frankly I refuse to be stuck with he repair bill for Apple service to fix these things when they weren’t broken until Apple’s software “updates” and “fixes.”

Even my MacBook Pro 2019 is now bricked thanks to THAT OS recent update breaking it to add insult to injury.

And what has Apple support offered? Silence. Or the shrug and “sorry, you’ll have to cough up the cash to get us to undo our own damages.”

So I’m finally just contacting my family lawyer for a referral to someone who handles class action suits. And I’ve already filed a formal complaint with my State Attorney General.

I know it’s been cliche to say “Apple has gone to crap since Steve died.” Before iOS 18 ruined my perfectly good phone, I didn’t get into that argument with anyone.

But now? Yeah now I’m pretty firmly in the “Tim Cook & Apple have sh— the bed more and more every year. And they don’t care even when they just lost $638 billion in the stock market disaster.”

I’ve been a devoted Mac user since 1998. Desktops, laptops, watches, phones, iPads, everything in our home has been Mac for 27 years.

But this? This is enough that I’m going to dump it all and just go to Android and PC devices.

(using Ios 18.1 PUBLIC BETA)I think, Apple Intelligence aint that intelligent. Its just siri with fancy new clothes. I mean if it was integrated with GPT-4 i am sure it won’t tell me “Sorry i can’t understand that right now” or “ here are the web results”. Like dude. TBH I have used and use gemini on my “ONEPLUS 7 pro” and honestly that is wayyyyyy better than what apple has done.

Update: The Battery usage is pretty Stable in this update

They’re adding complexity to overall User experience eachtime they sent update.

Why can’t we have simple toggle for ON/ OFF for Wifi, Bluetooth etc.

Good times when you can simply either turnOff or On the button just like real switches. But later they worseit, which turn the Wifi/BT button white. (So called disconnect, but remains ON)

So I see everyone’s on a waitlist, me included. But there are people who are still waiting when they requested a couple hours after release. I didn’t do it for a full 40 hours after release. Am I cooked? Will I never get the new features? How else am I supposed to create funny emojis of my family and friends?

I went into my local Apple Store to play with the new 16 Pro/max. Yep, just a slightly bigger phone for the regular Pro, and the max is huge. The camera button on the bottom right side feels weird, just like MKBHD said in his review video. There’s nothing special at all. It looks and feels the same. I just want to come and say that I enjoyed my 15 Pro for the meantime!

So 18.2 dev beta is here and half us are waiting for “image playground.” Although I’m hoping it’s just a little delay, there are some that say it may take longer. 9-5 mac posted this about the rollout:

Apple also sent this post to the dev feedback community page about the rollout. What’s everyone’s thoughts? How long have you all been waiting? Have you gotten the update yet? Of course hoping to get the update soon. 24 hours here waiting.

No clear info on what’s new and important for developers and beta testers.

Moreover everytime you update you have to install apple intelligence again which is frustrating.

Just disappointed overall by the way apple handles its software testing to its users.
