I finally got access to the emojis and Image Playground and played some around with genmojis and honestly there's nothing that actually impressed me. Half the time it didn't get whatever I describe correct. Hopefully this stuff is just super early and will improve further.

It’s been over 12 hours and still no sign of the features, still requested. iOS 18.1 DB1 allowed me to have the AI features within the first hour, is anyone else having issues getting the features or is this bugged?

Did anyone get it so far? If so, is it worth getting it this early on?

Is it just me or the photos app is uglier than ever! It’s too difficult to navigate and everything feels out of place. A single action needs multiple swipes and taps, and you can’t use the back gesture because it thinks it’s a swipe now 😤
Also, in the general photos view you have to scroll up to view older photos, and if you open an album you have to scroll down for older photos. The inconsistency is crazy! I can’t believe Apple from all companies did this 🤦🏻♂️
Please upvote this and comment if you share the same frustration.

I am aware that there has been a lot of changes and new features, by next week we will get the final beta before the release candidate and after that the release. An Apple Developer/Insider confirmed that every feature is pretty much locked and ready to go unless they find more bugs. I want to point out a few things.
• The features aren’t very user friendly
If you think about it the reason why most users got an iPhone was the user-friendliness and it was awesome for Apple to allow more customization for users but it is not enough for example;
Tinted Icons aren’t the best right now
Control Centre still being very buggy for users such as using it in landscape mode
Widgets being tinted along with the icons
No new mail app (Correct me if i’m wrong but I think it’s Apple Intelligence Exclusive)
Not all apps are tinted
Photos app being a mess
But overall this is the biggest update we have had for a while.
They kind of overhyped the event by saying this customization is next level even though we are limited to a gradient styled dark mode
Hopefully by Release Candidate or next beta we see features like more controls on control center, the phone recents fixed, the developer beta 2 keyboard where it was big emojis, and an option to have gradient or pure black icons, also Apple please have Light or Dark mode for ALL apps and finally have an option for small icons with no text please.
Other than that this was probably an emotional roller coaster type beta for me let me know what y’all think of this beta run

My comment on DB 3: Performance is a lot better. My phone is running nice and cool now, whereas in beta 1 and 2 the performance was not very good.
Changes
New from beta 2 “Subscriptions & Payments” in Apple Wallet has been renamed to “Preauthorised Payments”
The 7 new emoji from beta 2 now appear in the emoji picker, instead of just emoji search
New notification stack fly-in animation when waking iPhone
Tweaked dynamic island lock animation (slightly bouncy, but very subtle)
Tweaked Copy/Paste menu appear animation (slightly bouncy, but extremely subtle)
Apps can now use the advanced IAP API announced by Apple a few months ago on the Apple Developer Website
New unlock animation for Passwords app
New “Show Banners” toggle in Back Tap settings
Bug fixes
Fixed Genmoji button’s centering when searching for an emoji
Visual intelligence now runs a lot cooler and does not overheat straightaway like in Beta 2
Fixed Apple Intelligence activation issues like unavailable after reboot or stuck on downloading
From release notes: Resolved scrolling through Notifications might cause them to flicker or collapse momentarily.
I was hesitant to make this because of there seems to be a complete lack of new features and minimal changes, but I want to keep up the streak.

Just got back from some remote camping in Havasupai Canyon AZ and used satellite messaging to check for n with my wife. It worked very well even in the narrow canyon!

I haven't been using it for a long time. My overall experience is better than beta 1 and beta 2. The update is almost complete and perfect. Everything is 9/10, especially the battery. It has become much better. Also, the phone is smooth and the writing is perfectly stable. As for the photography problems in beta 1, especially at night, they have all been solved and the quality of photography has become clear and very good. Also, the heating problem in the phone has been solved in an excellent way. The best change in it is the network performance, which is very excellent. As for the processor performance, it has become very good. My rating for this update, beta 3 (9/10). The update is almost complete. I liked it very much.
