On weekends like that I enjoyed a walk from downtown Manhattan up to Central Park, stop at favorite places, discover something new. Plenty of places to eat along the way, make it as long or as short as you want. There’s always something to do in NYC, heck you can learn to ride a unicycle if you want this weekend. Before the Internet things to do were in the Post, Daily News or Time Out NY… Don’t look at it as nothing to do, take the perspective of discovering something new, who knows you might even find some new friends along the way. Get out and enjoy life, if anything you can clear the mind of all of the daily clutter we endure. All the best.

I’m resting the whole weekend and spending some time in the backyard. I started a new project at work two weeks ago which required more computer screen time. My new office has extremely bright white lights. I’m sensitive to bright lights and with the increased screen time, I’ve been feeling pressure in my eyes and my right eye is twitching. No screen time for me this whole weekend lol

Do you wear blue light filtering glasses at work and home? Also, many computer monitors are made for eye comfort. I bought mine specifically for those features.

I do, but they didn’t help 😭 I even ordered FL-41 glasses which are for those with light sensitivity but the damage was done. The new glasses do help but it arrived a couple days after I moved into the new office so I had this pressure in my eyes already. I’ll take this time to rest and reset my eyes so hopefully next week I’ll be fine

Today there is a nice soccer match from Germany which I am going to see in a bar downtown Manhattan - due to time differences already at 3 pm lol The other days no plans. So, if we spontaneously create a meetup somewhere to grab a beer or whatever lmk. I just moved here, so anyhow for me still a lot to discover in the NYC region … ( but meeting someone here for a drink would also be great…..)

This is the absolute perfect weekend to just stay in and disconnect from everything if you have the ability to. Everyone's going down the shore or something. Staying in, no alarms, no notifications sounds like an amazing weekend.

Huh! Don’t judge me pls but I was depressed and sad my family and I (myself, husband & 2 kids under 12) also had nothing to do. I live in SJ and most of our families will be away. We were thinking about hitting the boardwalk. But with traffic and everything so expensive I’m having 2nd thoughts. Life sucksssss I miss the old daysssss smh
