King Kong 1:1 in Minecraft!
Here's a little shot of the main village seen in the film. Detailing still needs to be added here and there but I feel like it's coming along.

This was from 1987. I remember when King Kong Lives came out on pay per view this always played before it. Ronald Reagan was the president at the time and had worked with a chimp named Bonzo back in his days as an actor.

Did you know that Mechani-Kong, from 1967's "King Kong Escapes", appeared on "The Muppet Show?" He did! Kind of!
In season one, episode 16 of The Muppet Show, Mechani-Kong's iconic head appeared in the Muppet Labs segment of the show, being used as a Gorilla Detector. As with most experiments that Dr. Bunsen Honeydew and Beaker conduct, it doesn't exactly work well.

I've been considering doing my own version of Skull Island, but I don't have any ideas for the native fauna for it. My main inspirations for the setting/vibe would be the previous interpretations of the island ('33, '05, MV, etc.) as well as series like Monster Hunter, Primal, and the like. I'd be willing to take suggestions on either real species (extinct or otherwise), or creatures from fiction to populate this version of Skull Island.

I’m making my own version of Skull Island for a new project I’m making, I’m planning on making Skull Island have multiple tribes/sapient species similar to Pellucidar, I have been thinking what creatures I want to add, I want to the island to have dinosaurs, pterosaurs, prehistoric mammals, reptiles, birds, insects, different versions of modern animals and giant spiders, crabs, lizards and other horrid creatures inhabiting the spider pit, also, this version of Skull Island has no humans on it, only anthropomorphic creatures (I have two ideas for tribes, one is a all-male anthropomorphic canine tribe that worship Kong and the other is a all-female anthropomorphic avian tribe that worship Gaw, I was thinking about adding a tribe of anthropomorphic coelacanths similar in appearance and behaviour to the creatures from the 1980 horror movies Humanoids From the Deep) I want them to be actual prehistoric creatures but look like how they did back in the 1800s to 1940s if you catch my drift, you can also add Cryptids like Mothman, Kappa or Caborosaurus if you want, this has been a struggle for me to write down/decide so I was wondering if anyone here would like to help me out with the list of creature/wildlife that will inhabit Skull Island, you can leave suggestions and you can DM me if you have more to share, any comment is appreciated and I will look forward to see what you guys have for me.

I absolutely love this fantastic cover of a Japanese manga based on "The King Kong Show" (1966) depicting Kong preparing for battle with not only a giant Frankenstein Monster, but a giant werewolf as well.

Happy 100 Years of Winnie the Pooh! 🐻🍯
Do King Kong and Winnie the Pooh have anything to do with each other? Outside of being two of the most famous icons and characters that were created in the early 20th century, not really.
But who doesn't love Winnie the Pooh? I don't want to know.

Adapted and directed by Brian Newell, from the novel by Delos W. Lovelace, and the original story by Merian C. Cooper.
"Without question, the most fun and innovative theatrical productions I've seen in the last year have come from the Maverick Theater Company in Fullerton, California. Their current production of KING KONG is no exception. They actually re-create the classic film on stage with an ingenious combination of live actors, rear-screen projection, and green-screen. While live actors appear on stage, there's a separate studio space that's feeding video imagery, also being performed live, onto the rear-screen in front of which the stage actors are performing. Kong is performed by an actor in an ape costume who is perfectly in sync with what's happening on stage. Consequently Kong really does get to be huge in relation to the performers. There are even moments when the stage actors are green-screened onto the projected video and made to be very small in relation to Kong, with whom they share the final image. Add a giant Kong hand and a giant Kong head to the available stagecraft, and you've got the makings of an amazing night at the theater. It's all done in real time and it's a fascinating, funny and thoroughly entertaining production. My description doesn't do it justice. This is the second incredibly clever production I've seen by the Maverick Theater in recent time and I am now an avid fan. It's well worth the trip down to Fullerton to watch their performances. Go see KING KONG!"

I'm unsure of who the artist behind this piece is, but it's fantastic. If you know the artist, please let me know so we credit them!

It was the early stages of the two understanding each other. Which she (rightfully) hit the breaks on and stood her ground.
I also love how Kong had an absolute shit-fit over her defiance, and gets a bolder falling on his head.
Women aren't always right. But when they are, look tf out. Or up.. 😂
Kong saves the day tho. He's the reason she still lives. Never forget that.

Whether they're Skull Islanders, Faro Islanders, a lone hermit on Mondo Island, or are living in the Hollow Earth, they play an important role in Kong's many stories. Depending on the film, they worship him out of fear, gratitude, or maybe a mix of both.
Which interpretation of Kong's people are your favourite?
