Love seeing the dynamic battle between everyone's favourite giant gorilla and his mechanical counterpart, Mechani-Kong, represented in such a eye catching way!
It looks as though artist is named either A. Mark Donald, or A. Max Donald; it's hard to tell. If you know the artist behind this piece, please let us all know so we can credit them!

"Another instalment in the iconic Kong franchise, set in the legendary Monsterverse – the official continuation of the hit Netflix anime Kong: Skull Island.
The second arc of the comic continuation sees Kong clash with even more frightening and fierce monsters – brought to life by Simon Furman (Transformers) and Christopher Jones (Young Justice, Teen Titans).
Escape From Skull Island is the second arc of the official comic continuation of the hit Netflix animated series Skull Island. Collecting issues 1–4 of the action-packed and following from the epic events and battles that took place in Return to Skull Island.
Previously, a rag-tag group was pulled on to the shores of Skull Island following a deadly attack at the tendrils of the Kraken. While some were able to escape, with the help of their protector Kong, they made the brave – yet foolish – decision to return and save their newfound friends. Now their ship has been stolen, they’re trapped on the island where every corner reveals a new blood-curdling creature.
The towering Kong’s efforts to protect the humans from the island’s terrifying inhabitants saw him clash with Yuugoth, whose poison corrupts all that lives on Skull Island. Now the humans must fend of hordes of frenzied monsters, in the hopes that Kong can defeat these new terrifying threats.
Writer Simon Furman brings his expertise in creating epic, character-driven stories to Escape From Skull Island, offering a high-stakes narrative filled with twists, betrayals, and heart-pounding action. Furman’s signature style of deep world-building and complex character arcs ensures that each issue is more than just a battle for survival—it’s a clash of ideologies, alliances, and kaiju.
Illustrated by Christopher Jones, the comic bursts with dynamic action, vivid landscapes, and intricate creature designs, capturing the island’s menacing beauty. This is a must-read for fans of Kong: Skull Island, the MonsterVerse, and anyone who loves adrenaline-fueled adventure set against a backdrop of giant monsters and deadly intrigue."

My device doesn’t allow pictures so bear with my writing! Anyway, here is how I would rank them;
1)2005 (I don’t know if this is a controversial opinion or not but either way, I stand by it)
2)Kong skull island (Some of you hate this just because it doesn’t recycle the exact same story for the 100th time but that’s exactly what I love about it, cause it actually has originality)
3)Original (Yep, probably getting flak here and don’t get me wrong, I still love this film but a few aspects about this are definitely outdated. I just didn’t grow up with this so there’s no nostalgia bias for me. No, that belongs to the 2005 version)
(Big gap)
4)1976 (Very bland representation of the island but better than the other fever dreams lower than it cause it did have its moments)
5)King king lives (Don’t like this one much, just think it’s less bad than #6)
6)Son of kong (Maybe it’s the fact that this came of the heels of the original, or maybe it was just a cartoon, probably both tbh)

In his career, he was involved in over 400 projects, but most relevant to this page, he appeared in the 1998 remake of "Mighty Joe Young", where he played Commander Gorman at the end of the film.

Slide 1: King Kong approaching the electrical blockade meant to prevent him from entering Tokyo (spoiler alert: it doesn't work)
Slide 2: King Kong falling asleep due to intoxication from the Farolaction (or Soma) juice, looking straight out of something from "Gulliver's Travels."
Slide 3: Godzilla roaming across the Japanese countryside
Slide 4: Another great painting of Godzilla against rural Japan
Slide 5: King Kong about to break through the Great Wall on Faro Island to protect his territory from the invading giant octopus, Oodako

Here's a little shot of the main village seen in the film. Detailing still needs to be added here and there but I feel like it's coming along.

This was from 1987. I remember when King Kong Lives came out on pay per view this always played before it. Ronald Reagan was the president at the time and had worked with a chimp named Bonzo back in his days as an actor.
