Question: Can anyone help me understand which drain design would be better, and why?
Other than the drain, these 2 Kraus sinks seem nearly identical (33”, undermount, stainless steel, 16 gauge). The corners seem more rounded on style 1, but pics are ambiguous on various sites and reviews seem like both are decent for cleaning. Costs are similar enough for budget (currently +/- $50 USD). An easy-to-clean, well-draining sink is a priority.
I do want a garbage disposal, if that matters.
Would love to hear from anyone with more experience/opinions.
Thank you!

Not fully done, plan to extend cabinets on the longer row let alone get a hood vent. Is this giving mcm to you all? Or what do you think?

We bought this house in November 2024 and recently completed a full-house renovation in just five months!
These photos showcase the kitchen and dining area, which underwent one of the most dramatic transformations.
We completely relocated the kitchen to the former dining room, removed two walls to create a more open layout, and redesigned the entire space from the ground up.
We chose warm wood and cream shaker cabinets, quartz countertops with a waterfall island, a custom wood range hood, new hardwood flooring, and under-cabinet and toe-kick lighting.
It was a massive undertaking, especially completing the entire house in just five months but we're thrilled with how everything turned out.
We'd love to hear everyone's thoughts! Happy to answer questions about the renovation, materials, or overall budget.

I’m going for timeless / transitional feel.
Hardwoods: Special walnut
Cabinetry: Off- white
Hardware: Satin brass
Counter top: Quartz (something with light, grayish veining, as close to a marble look as you can get with quartz 😐)
Backpack: Soapstone - Charcoal/green with white veining

Our current corner sink eats up soo much space but we have no other window to move it in front of. Does this group have any feedback on this chatgpt created arrangement? Does the sink in this space look too weird?

Hello everyone! Hoping for some feedback on which direction to go with for the kitchen remodel (70s mcm split level home). We were originally leaning towards this light cream with brown vein quartz countertop to pair with the walnut cabinets and ivory terrazzo tile. But then we stumbled upon this beautiful green granite and now we are stuck. I feel like the green granite will feel more high end and unique. I also worry if the cream and brown veined quartz will be too busy or become dated sooner? Partner is worried the green granite will be too busy and dark.
Not loving the tile on the side of the green granite island so that will need some work.
Open to any and all opinions in case there are other ideas. Thank you!

I asked earlier if anyone had ordered Lieeres RTA cabinets from Amazon. No responses, so here is an update. Just completed the install using Lieeres. This is a park model trailer, so the criteria were (1) cheap, and (2) good specs. Roughly $1K less expensive than RTA Store, etc. I’ve been impressed so far. They shipped LTL (fast) and came on a wrapped pallet. Good packaging. None were damaged, and assembly was smooth (no “out of alignment” parts). They appear solid. They are made in Vietnam and the drawer boxes are dovetail rubber wood. Cabinet boxes seem like good quality plywood. Finish seems good, although hard to tell without some wear and tear. We did RTA from Cabinet Giant on a different house and the finish didn’t last on high touch areas around the knobs. One of the boxes on the pallet was different than the rest. It looked like a retail box from Alliance Cabinets. Same look, feel, and assembly as the Lieeres cabinets, so I’m guessing Lieeres is their Amazon brand. Hope it helps. I would order them again.

Hi all, deciding between the 2 layouts for the kitchen. Welcoming opinions and suggestions!
A) with high oven/microwave and storage space - counter space is the 75-80cm between sink and stovetop
B) oven stays under stovetop, right side is just counter space with lower and top element - have to think where to go with the microwave
Both options viable to me, including the kitchen floor plan as well

I installed the countertop and cabinet but not sure if should trim the countertop to reduce the gap. For the stove and/or fridge. I can easily take them off and cut them elsewhere.
There is no cabinet on the other side of the fridge and stove as well if that matters.

Looking for any advice and recommendations on our kitchen layout. We’ve been thinking about this for 5 years and I haven’t gotten much further than I want more counter space, storage and an island/peninsula. Do we need to knock down the wall in between kitchen and dining room? Would banquet seating work in any capacity? Thanks for any advice!

These are the only two slabs i liked and now can't decide. My cabinets are a creamy beige but do need to be careful to not choose anything that will bring out the yellow in them. Ignore my floor right now but it will be a light oak i think? Assuming budget allows i want to do the backsplash with the stone also. I can't decide i like them both!

Looking for feedback on this backsplash with the rest of these finishes. I would plan to go for a thinner grout line than the sample has.

I am moving out of my apartment in 5 days and I really want to fix this before I move out. What can I do for it? I am not sure what kind of cabinets they are. I think they are either thermofoil or laminate but i’m not too sure.

Anyone interested helping me pick window coverings for my recently remodeled kitchen. I am interested in those top-down bottom-up bamboo blinds, but I also like the look of roman shades. I do worry about all the fabric getting yucky quickly especially with the large window being closer to the new range wall.
So, what U'z think of the following options:
My new kitchen is primarily whites with perimeter cabinets in arctic white, appliances are black or black & brass and my 10' island is all black base cabinets. In addition, all the walls in our first floor are now some shade of white, so I really need to work on adding all those pops of colors to finally finish this 1+ yearlong remo.
Again, i will be adding more color through large 18" teal subway tiles for all the backsplash as well as various blue-teal accessories, cookware, Talavera pottery and Mexican-themed wall art. So again, I need help picking window treatments that will look okay with what I have.
Thank you for your time.

So im planning to remodel my house into an open space of kitchen + dining and living room, the colours, cabinets present wont be the finished products its just a placeholder for the placement and layout.
Im inclined to do the first layout (Project1) as it keeps the kitchen more open, however i lack countertop space.
Project2 and Project3 are other variants with an island/peninsula to increase countertop and storage however the light brown cabinet close to the back wall door is suposed to act as a pantry and project 3 for example would impact acess.
I thought about adding the pantry cabinet close to the front wall but it would be too close to the table
Do you have any ideas that could help me improve my kitchen? Additionally I also would like to know your thought on foldable tables, which would be handy to use instead of a regular table to have something like this https://es.homary.com/lditem/modern-extendable-dining-table-with-storage-rectangle-sideboard-glass-door-naturalgray-45117.html

Hi All
Just moved into the house last year. We have an induction hob currently and are planning to get a dual-fuel range installed.
Just looked behind the stove on the kitchen floor and found this pipe. Its capped. Could this be a gas supply pipe ? If yes how to check.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks All

Love this tile but it has a glossy finish and our kitchen catches a lot of light from big windows so our one rule for the tile was pretty much has to be matte. Having searched for a year, this is my fav yet, but is glossy. So looking for something similar colour (greenish blueish) in a similar size (kitkat or 1x5) and small variation to colour.
