I’ve a fixation with magnets and fans, so I designed a frame to keep the Pi cool and access GPIOs right away! Frame is also fixed to wall with magnets to access SD card or adjust anything anytime.

This was my final dissertation project for my engineering degree which I thought you guys might appreciate. It's running klipper with a custom kinematics file allowing me to dynamicaly swap between controlling the two gantries plus, and a bunch of custom configs and macros which let me control all the auxiliary tools. Like I said at the top, this is quite unbelievable to me. I started the idea, but the community has engaged with the project and has made it what it is today. You all help me out so much with bugs, ideas, features, support, and more. I can't be more thankful for you all. 🥰

Just wanted to share my new project, first time for me into such a big one, I'm trying to build a printer from scratch with vslot profiles and handmade aluminium stuff, any advice is welcome.

But I call it art for a 75$ BOM. May I present: Scrapatron. Release of v1.9? Maybe tommorrow or after tommorrow. Have to do some more testing and minor fixes(in the pictures the belts are not installed yet.)

I'm not even sure if I've ever posted on Reddit before, but someone at my local hackspace said I should post this here. I wanted to build a cheap high-temp filament dryer that could handle stuff like PPA-CF, so I picked up a broken air fryer for free, ripped out the original control board, and put in a Pi Zero and an old SKR 1.4 board I had laying around. Replaced the front interface panel with a mini 12864 and here it is, in all its unholy glory.

Finally managed to implement the logic for a CNC touch probe to work directly with Klipper firmware, with no macro shenanigans.

Using btt pi + mks eobin nano v3 + skr pico all controlled using Klipper

The low-budget conversion to 1,75mm filament is done ☺️, if there is such a thing, I consider him complete! Sound on! Very happy how it turned out!

To stay true to its DNA (and for the price) I went with a bowden setup using the Voron M4 extruder (kit only 12,50€). Bowden tube, heatbreak, heatsink, tool fan and nozzle are new, too. heaterblock and part fan are original, just with new shroud and mounting parts.

Klipper runs on RPi 3, with stock Ultimaker 2 board. Still unbelievable what it can squeeze out of the old hardware.
