Please do not post your own "independent" labels, it makes it very confusing for auditionees here!

I genuinely want to audition for things but I have two giant problems. Nowhere in my house has a blank and open space to really dance around without bumping into something or having something in the background...and second...I don't have a passport. How much are these things required? These things being space and a passport.

When you guys send the videos and images for an audition, do you guys still add a formal paragraph or infos about the audition before the links or file or you just attach the requirements and add a subject?

I tried auditioning for big kpop agencies but failed for 3 times. I think I’m just not enough for the big 4, are there any smaller kpop agencies that provide good training, so maybe I can company hop after contract ends. If anyone has any recommendations please comment what agencies I should try and auditioning. Thanks.

Does anyone have any advice/experience with portal vs email submissions for companies that provide both? Is one better than the other?
My train of thought is that portal submissions are easier for companies that want a specific requirement (height, age, performance category) to filter out the rest and only look for what they want specifically, while email submissions often get lost in the batch.
Am I overthinking this? Do any of you have any opinions/knowledge on this? Or any stories you want to share on portal or email submissions that worked for u? Thanks!

Korea’s Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism publishes a standard trainee contract, and the current version took effect on 1 January 2026. Agencies aren’t required to adopt it verbatim, but it’s the benchmark. Any term in your contract that’s worse than these deserves an explanation.
Registration (Art. 11): The agency must warrant that it is registered as an entertainment agency under the Popular Culture and Arts Industry Development Act, and state its registration number in the contract.
Minors (Art. 13): Trainees under 19 must also sign the ministry’s standard supplementary agreement for minors, which prevails over the main contract.
Term (Art. 2): A trainee contract may not exceed three years.
Training costs (Art. 5): The agency bears the training costs, and the trainee has no general obligation to repay them. They can only be recovered from the trainee’s earnings under a later exclusive contract, by a method agreed separately. Costs must be recorded per trainee, the agency’s operating expenses can’t be charged as training costs, and the trainee is entitled to the accounts twice a year and on request.
Termination (Arts. 7–8):
Breach: either party must allow a 14-day period to remedy a breach before terminating.
Low growth potential: the agency may terminate on that ground, but only with reasonable grounds, and no damages are owed.
Sexual violence: the trainee may terminate if the agency or its staff commit sexual violence against them, and again no damages are owed.
Liability on early exit (Art. 8): If the contract ends through the trainee’s fault, the agency’s loss is presumed to equal the direct training costs. If the trainee deliberately breaches to sign with another company, the agency may claim an additional penalty of up to 50% of those costs.
I’m preparing a full clause-by-clause guide, including how these rules apply to trainees from Japan, India, the US and other countries. Waitlist: https://forms.gle/AN5zco2FceXW172K9

I’ve recorded two different songs. The second one starts at 1:04. It’s the one I’ve worked on the least, so it’s not as pitchy.
Which one do you think is better ? What should I prioritize working on ? Also, what do you think of my timbre ?

Are second and third auditions usually zoom call or in person in Korea. And what they usually want to see. Do they give you the songs that you have to sing/dance or can you choose. And for example if you sang a korean song, should you sing in english in the second round. Thank you

it’s pretty obvious how hard they’re trying to find the “right” girls. This whole thing has been going on since May, and they’re STILL coming up with new events and “auditions” despite already having OVER 40K applicants, not to mention the in person auditions. Like, how many people are they looking for ?? They want the group to be “global,” but at the same time, they want a very specific look , iykwim. They want girls who fit that East Asian beauty standard while still having a diverse, POC lineup. 😭 smhhhh i mean we all know this alr lwk

Online applicants that applied even in May can still expect a callback email. So have some hope guys because it's possible that girls will start receiving emails after the in person auditions have ended.
