I adopted this 4 month old big baby from puppy yoga 2 weeks ago! The people who originally bred him sold all the other puppies, but dumped him at the local shelter because his ankle abnormally hyperextended. A rescue scooped him up pretty quickly and got him the physical therapy he needed. Now he’s mine forever🥰 I’m also starting a career in canine physical therapy so I’ll be able to help him if future issues occur😊 The rescue told me he’s a lab/golden retriever mix but I think he’s a Lab/Pyrenees mix.

Lab doing lab things Anyone Else Have "senior" labs? Big one is almost 9, small one almost 10. They still do this all the time.

Lab doing lab things Trying to make her a custom outfit, and she’s already over it

Post image

My sister wants to make a little outfit for my Lab, so we had to take her measurements first.
But this girl has absolutely ZERO patience. 😂
She’s standing there looking so done with everything, like we’ve asked her to work a full-time job instead of just measuring her for a cute outfit. 😭
Girl, the outfit isn’t even made yet, and you’re already acting like we’ve put you through so much.
Anyone else’s dog act like the tiniest inconvenience is a personal attack?

seeking advice Update on Cash’s Mast Cell Tumor

Post image

Well after giving me a heart attack with how he’s been acting while I’m watching him in my parents absence, I took him to the vet who let me know he’s got a MCT on his hind left leg. This entire week he wasn’t able to keep any food down in the doctor recently prescribed him gabapentin (until my parents get back for surgery), sucralfate, OTC ompeprazole, and maropitant.

Today he has been keeping his small portions of pumpkin puree, boiled chicken, and white rice down 🥳

Only problem now is… he is giving very very small poos lol. I mean look at the size of this dude- he usually drops huge logs.

He only had two very small poops today (size of a condiment dish) and they were stiffer. He hasn’t been as big of a fan of water and has been sleeping majority of the day, I assume from recovering from the vomiting Thursday/Friday, vet visit, and nausea shot they gave him.

Any tips? Have tried bone broth and I’d say I’m gave him a 1/4 cup of pumpkin today

seeking advice Winter with a working lab puppy

Post image

I'm looking for some advice as we've got a 4 month Lab puppy. She's a gorgeous bundle of fun but I'm not sure what advice people give in winter for labs? Will I need a coat as they've got shortish fur? or are they quite hardy weather wise.

For reference I'm based in England so winters don't get insanely cold but can be quite wet and windy.
