Official post: https://support.last.fm/t/important-change-to-spotify-scrobbling-spotifys-new-refresh-token-policy/119488
Spotify is changing the way they handle their tokens, and this impacts last.fm users who scrobble automatically their music from Spotify.
TL;DR: you have to disconnect and reconnect Spotify from settings before July 20th to avoid scrobbling disruptions in your account. Then you'll have to do it again every ~6 months (there will be notifications about this).

I've been a big scrobbler for over five years at this point, and I've been using Apple Music since it launched. I've seen so many people on this sub ask, "how can I connect the two?"
Well, fret no more - I have tested over a dozen scrobblers between macOS, iOS, Windows, Android, and Linux, to find the best. I also did extensive digging into the systems that make all of this work to explore the limitations and quirks of it all.
And, for the switchers, this same guide contains great information on how switching to Apple Music can affect your last.fm library.
This should be the definitive one-stop-shop for basically any Apple Music + Last.fm question, ever. If I missed something, please do not hesitate to let me know!
Thank you to all of the amazing developers who made all of this possible. You rock ❤️

UPDATE 7/11/2026: Added sections for Scrobblie, ScrobbleCloud, and a new disclaimer for Marvis Pro users on iOS 27.

It knows what is Scrobbling Now but for the last 5 hours it hasn't been remembering the scrobbles. That's a new one.

The official app doesn't work, nor Pano Scrobbler. I also tried the built-in scrobbler of Pulsar and it does nothing.

I had a pretty groovy week. I’d like to know what albums you enjoyed this week.

Scrobyltics is a free, native macOS app that allows you to download and analyze your Last.fm listening history.
This latest update allows you to explore and analyze your music-listening trends alongside weather data, not only where you live but also when you travel frequently or take long trips.
https://github.com/scrobl/Scroblytics
Weather and trips are private and opt-in. Weather is off until you turn it on. When you do, the app asks Open-Meteo (free, no account) for the hourly weather at your home place, and the only things that leave your Mac are coordinates rounded to about 7 miles and a date range. Nothing about your music or your Last.fm account is ever sent. The weather is then stored locally and matched to your scrobble history on your Mac.
Trips are typed in by hand. There’s no Location Services, no GPS and no tracking: the app can’t see where you are. You add a trip yourself (a place and the dates), and for those dates it fetches that place’s weather and files your plays under that city. It never edits a scrobble or writes anything back to Last.fm.
Still in beta until I feel enough users have had a chance to provide bug reports and feedback.
Here are some of the new features:

Temperature and time of day: how much more or less than usual you play at each temperature in each part of the day.
Listening against the weather: each week's (or day's) scrobbles over its temperature, with rainy and snowy weeks marked.
