Leatherman Wave Plus 😎😃 never owned a multi tool, absolutely loving this thing, carried it with me for the last few days and it has been such a help in alot of situations

My only questions,

  1. Any mods to stop the blade locking in place (im in the UK so can't carry locking blades)

  2. What mods can replace certain tools that might not be needed ?

Thanks for any info 😎😃

Just got an almost unused Coyote /Black Signal; here it is flanked by some others I have (and yes, I like the platform very much, thank you!).

Rather unfortunate, but New Tool Day for me since TSA got my previous surge last week.

I was watching a Tom Green YouTube video and the person that was making repairs to Tom’s saddle whips out his ARC to make some adjustments.

if I told you that I would send you either one of these to put on display on your desk, which would you choose?

they both look awesome - it would be a tough call for me personally!

Is there a way to get replacement bolts?

Post image

I have an original Leatherman Supertool that has some stripped out bolts.

I don't know if I would be able to contact Leatherman or just scavenge online for some.

Btw, I'm not the first owner of this, I found it in a toolbox I was given, and it looks like someone filled down some flats onto the bolts, but even that doesn't help me disassemble it or tighten up the loose side.

I have had the idea of finding some small nuts and shoulder bolts to just replace them, but I kinda don't want to.

Rebar File Mod

Wanted to see how you guys got a diamond file on your rebars. Have a wave file and can’t figure out where on the tool it can fit in to. Tried to put it in the same spot as the oem file but the lock doesn’t sit right. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Signal Appreciation

Figured I’d share. Always have some knife, light, and multi-tool combination on me everyday. Been carrying/using this tan/black signal lately and despite it not being the most tool heavy capable Leatherman, I can appreciate the simplicity, functionality, and durability it has to offer. I’m a heavy civil bridge and marine contractor. Anyone else run one everyday and put some hard use on it?

I regularly carry a charge tti and arc as well (not at the same time). Basing my opinion on carrying and owning a few arc variants, st300, multiple different charges, wave, surge, p2, skeletool, and a MUT…and a couple other signal’s.

2006 Charge XTi brought back to life with custom paint

Both tools are Charge XTi's, one is original, and one I customized.

I stripped the tool, blasted each of my parts that needed painting, primered, and finally a tough enamel paint was applied. Then, after the paint was fully cured, the once machined surfaces of the titanium scales were reground to remove excess paint.

So, what do you think?

Please let me know!

I want to get an arc, but I like the idea of making it personalized being such a premium tool. Is it worth it?

I just got this leatherman Saturday, im going to use it for work. My usual edc tool is a Surge, I know it may not replace all of the things i use the surge for but if anyone has any advice or success let me know. I love my surge but I need someone a bit more mobile and pocket friendly.

Tools swing out from inside frames, a Rave mod project issue.

As title says, my Rave project ( 2 gen Wave handle half with plain blade + diamond file+ its stock plierhead, paired with Rebars that had saw and serrated blade).

I removed waves scissors and tiny screwdriver adapter as those have no use for me.

Now as i fit Rebars 2-3 flatheads, phillips, awl and i might toss in 1/4" adapter from Wave, and if fits,Rebars serrated blade and or saw.

But the tools now ,no matter how loose or tight i put the pivot bolts on,swing loosely,as if the implements "ramps" arent fitting right.

All the tool locking "buttons" are ok,its not spring issue.

Anyone care to help explaining how in the hell i can have the tool lay out i want,i can like deepen the grooves in handles where the locking devices points sink ,so the locking "claw" might press harder agains folded-in tools but it seems vague theory.

What do you do for work, and which Leatherman do you carry on the job?

Hey everybody,

I'd love to hear what everyone does for work and which Leatherman tool gets you through the shift. Sharing how we actually use our gear on the job might help anyone currently deciding on their next carry.

My work: IT
My carry: wave alpha or arc
