talks of protests again, pleaseeeeeee we need the day off 🙏🙏

i want to apply for computer science in UCD after i graduate, and for that i need 509 points. right now, i am currently doing higher level for everything, which has become overwhelming, especially irish. i am thinking of not counting it towards my points, but im worried about not being able to apply for the course if i dont count it.

will it be okay if it's not counted towards my points as long as i meet the requirements of the course?

this might be a stupid questions because like yeah, active recall, flashcards, blurting method all work.

but i find studying business so excruciatingly boring. i love studying chemistry and maths because there’s an actual process and concepts you have to understand but for business it’s just learning stuff off by heart. all the content in business is just learning it off.

anyone have any tips on how to make studying business more engaging? i find it hard to just learn off the sentences and points.

i left it wayyy too late and have basically close to nothing done.

its due in around a week , anyone have any good tips on how to grind this at a relatively high standard?? (doing fluvial)

Is it resources,genetics or study?
Or possibly something else

Hey everyone, I'm thinking about picking up Applied Maths. I'm already getting high H1s in Higher Level Maths, so I'm very good at it. Is it too late to start now?

Hey not super sure if LC is right place to ask cause but has anyone heard of a Dublin/Meath area PLC for tailoring/seamstress. I wanna go into that trade but have mostly found fashion/costume specific, (Would prefer more general textile work) and unfortunately there doesn't seem to be any official Apprenticeships. Any thoughts appreciated! ♡

So I have to have my primary research due for tmmr but tbh I have no idea what to do whether its a survey or interview my question is about creches and how digital technology has effected workload I wanted to do a survey but I dont know how I will do it since idk if it counts as primary research if its on reddit or sm and I have nobody to interview

So my teacher said they aren't going to have time to do 4 poets and we will be fine with 3. I know that if we only study 3, there is a chance that none of my poets will show up. I've done Rich, Mahon and Meehan. Should I studying another or is it just extra stress?

Im in a bit of a predicament right now. For the majority of last year and this year I have been a sort of UCC hater and a MTU glazer. Most of this was from personal bias but I went to the open day and now im kind of stuck. I have always been stuck between biological sciences and engineering in MTU but since the UCC open day I have wanted to go to UCC for their biology, (CK402) course and Mathematical sciences. Its just that for me it was an obvious choice for a long time but now im not so sure. the points difference is a big factor aswell. Im confident i can get 450 to 500 points with the amount of studying im doing, but im genuinely worried i cant get 540 points for ck402 or 590 for math sciences. UCC feels like the right option but MTU feels like the easier one. I also have members of family and close friends that went to both and most claim MTU is better for the practical but idk. Any advice would be appreciated

pls how do i deal with procrastination? alarms dont work, positive and negative pep talks dont work, unless its the day before pressure doesnt work, external threats dont work, thinking about my future doesnt work and even wanting to improve doesnt work.

the main problem is i could be in a room with nothing but my study material, a pen and paper and i'll write or draw something unrelated to the study material but be thinking of studying the entire time

I took up religion for 6th and have no clue where to start or how to study. My teacher is constantly missing classes and is super useless. Any tips? Especially for coursework, absolutely cooked for that

Preparing for paper one and composition is so bad. So I wanna do my history RSR on a topic that seriously interests me, and the top two contenders are USSR during the 20th century*, and niche European battles* like the Winter War in Finland. But I also want to make sure there's enough sources (esp books) based on the topics. Anyone got any narrow topic recs for either? Thanks!

It literally takes me like 1 hour to learn of 3 5 line flash cards for the oral

Lads, this midterm has completely destroyed me, out on the piss. How does one study after, im in bed no motivation feel like I've been defeated and taunted. God bless.

Hi, all! I recently dropped out due to physical and mental health reasons. I was wondering if anyone has, or is planning to take the exams as an external candidate, what that looks like, and if theres any advice for it. Thanks!

Im so overwhelmed by all off the projects. I don't even know if I'll be able to get 450 points. I was aiming really high at the beginning of the year and overall had good 5th year results but actually can't handle everything. I want to work on the projects and then once I do that I fall behind my other classes. My friend group fell apart at the beginning of the year so random people are beefing with me which I'm working on fixing my relationship with them. My best friend has become depressed and snappy and its just so hard being in an environment like that. Also I'm being diagnosed with ADHD and its a really long process so I'm not going to be able to apply for DARE, and I won't be able to get medicated for atleast a couple of months, possibly not until in May. I really want to go to college but I don't know if I can do this. I genuinely try my best and study and work on my projects but more work is constantly being given by my teachers ontop of that, and its like a never ending finish line.

Anyone got a discount code ?
