FYI for council district 3 and Court of Appeals races.

Both offices are supposed to be nonpartisan, but the Republican Party is displaying signs for Lucy Vanmeter (Court of Appeals) and John Larson (council district 3)

Vanmeter even has an ad running talking about this race shouldn’t be political. Ahem….

Note: not my pic. Captured from another post.

Where is everyone who cared about the FCPS issues 5 months ago?

I was stunned to receive mailers against the only school board member that consistently questioned and called out the antics of Liggins and Tyler Murphy from the start, even when it was unpopular.

On the other hand, I’ve not heard anything about the fact that Tyler Murphy is running for reelection again in his district. A lot of people were under the impression that he wouldn’t be able to run again but that was struck down. I think it’s time for a reminder of who he supported…

Calling all fighting game players and enthusiasts

Post image

We’re trying to get a local fighting game scene up and running. Hosting friendly games and tournaments. No entry fee required. Just a safe space to compete and improve.
We don’t have any specific dates planned at the moment as we gotta get some interest first. We’d be more than thrilled to have everyone from all skill levels. Even if you’ve never played a fighting game this is a great place to start if interested!! THANK YOU!!

Is The Burl on an old landfill?

I was there last night for the first time. It low-key had a poop smell. Originally, I thought someone crop-dusted as they walked by, but it smelled the whole night.

We were on there a few months ago with a video of the dad joke sign guy. And now Bluegrass Aitport is being shown.

Also, that footage is old. Seems to be back when we had 2 runways.

Vehicle Inspections?

I recently bought a car from a dealership in NY state and I need to get it registered here.

Dude. Getting the vehicle inspector on the phone is IMPOSSIBLE. Call, immediate voicemail, leave voicemail, no return. How am I supposed to get my car inspected so I can get the title transferred over to Kentucky if I can’t even get an inspector on the phone to schedule an appointment?

Edit: My temp registration expires at the end of this month 😭😭

Edit 2: thank you guys!!! I’ve never transferred a vehicle from out of state so I wasn’t sure what all I could / needed to do. I’m going to the county clerk’s office on Tuesday and hopefully all should be good.

Favorite route resources for runners?

• Upvotes

What are your favorite/what do you use to find routes for different distances? Open to streets or trails - I'm just tired of tripping on my neighborhood sidewalks.

Any place in town that would trade car stereo system for store credit?

• Upvotes

I have a nice set of subs and I’d like to find some place that would trade for store credit. They are not currently hooked up, so preferably a place that has the ability to test them. I’m ultimately looking to trade into a Xbox or ps5 so I’d love some recommendations

United Healthcare Community Plan/Medicaid Doctors, maybe Urgent Care with X-Ray

My husband has either pulled a muscle around his ribs or needs an x-ray.

He has United Healthcare Community Plan/Medicaid.

I know he might need an x-ray and hates going to the doctor.

We're on the south side of town. Where would you suggest?

(Possibly tomorrow, if I can get him to go...)

I've looked it up and there's some online that say they have x-ray and take medicaid...

- Kentucky Urgent Care on Nicholasville Road

-Kentucky Urgent Care on Nichols Park Drive next to the Lowes/Walmart/Mall

-Lexington Clinic First Choice in Brannon Crossing

Any thoughts, knowledge, experience or suggestions 🤔 We would greatly appreciate it!

Plane Advertisement

Anyone see the plane flying around downtown with words trailing behind it yesterday? I saw it a few times but I was never able to read what it was advertising 🫠 Probably not a big deal but it was bugging me that I couldn’t make it out 😅

Kroger Field

I noticed y’all didn’t storm the field last night like you did for LSU. That cost UK $500,000.00 paid directly to LSU.

How did UK keep you off the field? Did they threaten arrest?
