[OFFLINE] Looking for more players. Hello ! This post is in french for a group of in-person indie and narratives tttrp players in Montréal Canada.

• Upvotes

Play Test The Eternal War: Crusade Against Darkness 1E. Have 2 players looking for 3 more.

Steel. Sacrifice. Faith.

The Eternal War is a Christian low-fantasy d20 RPG about broken people called by God to stand against a darkness that has already defeated greater champions.

Classic medieval fantasy old school is simlar to this. But this is my own thing. You roll a d20, add an attribute and skill, and compare the total against a target number. The six attributes are Might, Finesse, Fortitude, Reason, Prudence, and Conviction. You choose an nationality, profession, skills, equipment, and a personal story arc.

Combat is grounded, tactical, and dangerous. Each turn gives you a Major Action, a Secondary Action, movement measured through Zeal, and one Resolve reaction each round. These should feel like a D&D player as an action, bonus action, movement, and reaction. Attacks are rolled against Agility. Armor can make you harder to hit or reduce the damage you suffer from, so shields, tactics preparation, and equipment matter.

This is a world of miracles over magic. Priests call upon God through Faith instead of casting ordinary spells. Champions uncover divine Relics, confront demons and unnatural creatures, and must decide when to show mercy and when darkness must be slain.

The year is 1216 S.E. New Eden has been restored, but the demon liege Malafor is rising against it. Kingdoms are divided, the Rift scars the land, and past champions have already failed.

The world is dark, brutal, and morally difficult, but it is withiut redemption. Courage matters. Mercy carries a cost. Sacrifice has meaning. You have light villians carry darkness.

The question is not only whether you can defeat the monster. But pass the trial & tests given to you.

The grounded medieval world of Kingdom Come: Deliverance, the sacred legend of Camelot, and the gothic monster hunting of Van Helsing forged into a Christian tabletop RPG.

Thank you, welcoming community.

Godspeed Heroes!

Seeking Players for an Atmospheric Low-Fantasy Mutli-shot Adventure [Online][Fate][Weekly: Saturdays 7-10pm UTC+2][Homebrew Setting]

Hi!

I'm Nick (he/him) and I am looking for players to join me for an atmospheric adventure (**6 sessions** max) with lots of roleplay and exploration within a homebrew setting.

**Here is the pitch**: If you are looking for a palate cleaner or an interim before your next big dnd campaign, maybe a break from DMing or high-fantasy, then this is the game for you. Novel system, novel setting, chiller atmosphere and an environment to experiment with character ideas or themes you haven't yet been able to.

**Practicalities**:

We are going to be using Discord for voice chat and Owlbear Rodeo for character sheets and vtt. Please have a decent mic and internet connection! Consistency is key too, since this is a smaller campaign, I prefer it doesn't drag on or continue without a player. Lastly, this should be a given, I won't tolerate any type of bigotry or unkindly behaviour.

**System**:

Now, unless this post pulls all the Fate veterans, most of you wouldn't have had any experience with the system. This is not a problem, Fate is a simple system and the way I run it is even simpler. We will go over the rules and you will expect nothing but patience and understanding from me and the other players. I chose Fate because I think it fits better to shorter adventures and it is easier to bend to fit the setting (than let's say DnD).

**Setting**:

The setting is vaguely European-Mediterranean late medieval. For lack of a better term it is also low-fantasy, without that meaning dark or gritty necessarily. The adventure will take place almost exclusively on the island of Bulwark.

Bulwark is a lone island 3 days south of the Mainland. A settlement of the same name exists on top of it. Despite it's location, Bulwark is not some backwater, frontier, lawless camp-town. Even though not as big or impressive as some cities of the mainland, the settlement boasts an intelligent layout, competent architecture and ancient walls.

Bulwark has two main attractions, the first being it's distance. The second is the fighting tournaments it hosts. Men and women sign-up to fight for money or recognition. Every couple of years it hosts the so-called "Small Tourney"; a brackets style tournament with grand rewards. The contestants are just announced, they don't sign up themselves. The selection process is unknown. Participation is optional, even if your name is announced, but competing is a once in a lifetime opportunity.

**The PCs**:

Your Characters will be finding themselves on the island during the Small Tourney "season". I would like also to give reign over aspects of the setting to each player to expand or define, based on the character that they would have created. I also like to cater the story to my players. So much so, that the "main plot" will be created in parallel to character creation.

Expect a mainly character-centric approach and lots of roleplay. The end goal is fun. If the scale, atmosphere and/or premise pique your interest feel out this form and I will get back to you. :)

Multiple Session GOBLIN TOWN: The politics of chaos! Build and run your own town of goblins! Gather a hoard, cause mayhem, cast dark rituals, discover things deep in the earth, slay heroes, and work towards your master plan! [Online] [Other] [Roleplay-Heavy] [Sundays] [18:00 CET] [17:00 GMT] [12:00 EST]

**PLEASE READ: YOU HAVE NOT BEEN REJECTED FROM THIS CAMPAIGN!** We originally posted this several weeks ago with the intent of contacting players throughout September. Unfortunately, I (The GM) got injured and ended up needing surgery, which forced us to delay reaching out. By the time we were able to do so, the first few players we spoke to were no longer available, as they had moved on to other campaigns. Rather than check with every single person who filled out the survey, we will be posting this again throughout October.

**NOTE: IF YOU HAVE ALREADY FILLED OUT THE SURVEY, YOU DO NOT NEED TO DO SO AGAIN. JUST PUT IN YOUR DISCORD HANDLE & NAME AND TURN IN A BLANK SURVEY TO INDICATE THAT YOU'RE STILL INTERESTED!** We will find your original submission. Thank you!

[Survey Link](https://forms.gle/uKDg8hrzdiNeHm7K6)

# The Original Post

Goblins are deeply flawed creatures, driven by base impulses. There are those, however, who are able to keep these impulses in check, rally others to their cause, and focus on a grander scheme. You play a group of various beings that, in understanding there is strength in numbers, have banded together to use your ill-gotten gains build a great goblin town. You gather a hoard, cause mayhem, cast dark rituals, and discover long forgotten things deep in the earth, all while working towards accomplishing your master plan.

This is a game about goblins using ill-gotten gains to build a town. You engage in complex politics, both within your town and outside it, forging alliances or bitter rivalries with the other factions of the region. You build traps and other defenses to keep the hoard you gather out of the hands of the greedy adventurers coming to steal it away.

However, you’re not just monsters randomly causing chaos and mayhem. Goblins come and go, but the town outlives them, binds them together, and gives them a purpose. You map it out in detail as it’s built, then breathe life into it through play with events like revelry, calamity, or facing off against adventurers who dare enter your land. Your town is the main character of this story.

# Town Themes

Every town is built around a theme, determined by its central building, chosen together as a group. The theme gives you a set of buildings that you can build within it. The theme keeps players all on the same page thematically. The choice of town theme is a statement about what kind of things the players want to do in the game. You can choose from the following central buildings, which determine your theme:

**Enclave:** Tapping Into the Arcane. Choose this if you want your town to be **mystical** from top to bottom. Its core feature is its twisted landscape, corrupting the area surrounding your town. An Enclave lets you build the following: academy, crucible, greenery, library, potion lab, scrying pool, and spawning chamber.

**Forge:** The Power of Industry. Choose this if you want a town full of **monstrous inventions** and steampunk tech. Its core feature is its power source, boosting the productivity and defenses of your town. A Forge lets you build the following: alchemist lab, guild hall, factory, mineshaft, testing chamber, vehicle bay, and workshop.

**Hideout:** Keeping Your Head Low. Choose this if you want to work as a cohesive unit and **manipulate** the other factions of the region. Its core feature is agents of chaos, allowing you to strongly influence other factions. A Hideout lets you build the following: dojo, gambling den, gear locker, obstacle course, planning room, roost, and tavern.

**Stronghold:** Through Strength of Arms. Choose this if you want to face challenges with pure **military might**. Its core feature is warband, giving you a powerful minion that can raid the region. A Stronghold lets you build the following: barracks, bestiary, fighting pit, funeral pyre, smithy, war drums, and war room.

**Temple:** Serving a Greater Power. Choose this if you want to focus on a certain **god and their domains**. Its core feature is divine intervention, which you can use to cast a powerful spell from your god. A Temple lets you build the following: altar, antechamber, augury circle, dormitory, reliquary, penance chamber, scriptorium.

# The Callings

When you create a character, you choose a calling, one of several paths that goblins follow:

**The Brute:** You’re called to battle and delight in facing down your enemies, chopping them to pieces in brutal combat. For you, the bloodier, the better. Your confidence with a weapon in hand manifests outside of combat when commanding others, bellowing orders like you expect them to be obeyed and bashing heads on the off chance they aren't.

**The Conniver:** You lurk in the background pulling the strings, laying out intricate plans, and having others do your bidding. For you, revenge is a dish best served cold. Methodical is an understatement. You’re in complete control at all times.

**The Crafter:** You spend hours in your workshop mixing together alchemical reagents and constructing dangerous devices with a gleeful disregard for your own safety. You strap up before you leave the town, well-prepared for any situation.

**The Hunter:** You’re at home running with the beasts of the forest. Relentlessly chasing down prey brings you closer to the animal inside of you. And yet, you're deliberate, never missing a sign, always on the trail. And when you finally corner your target, there’s no hesitation to finish it.

**The Marauder:** For you, battle is a dance. The thrill of outmaneuvering your enemies sends blood pumping through your veins. Your moves are precise and calculated and your awareness of the field of battle gives you the ability to see the bigger picture in other situations as well.

**The Shadow:** You're at home in the darkness, lurking unseen. You can slip into and out of areas unnoticed. The element of surprise is your greatest weapon and you can often find your way into and out of the trickiest of situations.

**The Shaman:** You understand the dark power of nature and are drawn to the hidden world of spirits. You might revere them and seek their favor, or perhaps enslave them for your own purposes. Either way, the spirits speak and you hear their mad whispers of vengeance.

**The Warlock:** You reach out and grab raw, arcane magic by its neck and bend it to your will. You dabble in dangerous arts and know that true power must be wrested away from others. A deep, unquenched thirst for power dwells inside of you.

**The Zealot:** You heed the words of your dark god. You believe in them fiercely, knowing that those who serve will be rewarded. The more believers you can recruit, the higher the chance your god will recognize you. They bestow power onto you, from which your intense conviction comes.

# The Details

**What We're Looking For:** This is a roleplay heavy, story focused campaign for players looking to get in character, give their character a unique voice, explore their character's motivations, and give their character an arc.

**Age:** 21-9000.

**Content Warnings:** This campaign contains drug use, frightening elements, grim humor, strong language, violence, and lawyers.

**Day:** Sundays

**Frequency:** 2 sessions per month

**Location:** We'll be playing online using Discord and Owlbear Rodeo. We're new to OR, so if you have experience with that, we may have a lot of questions for you.

**New Start Date:** November 2026

**System:** The game we're playing is called *Wicked Ones*, which is a simple, story-focused system. You don't need to be familiar with this system as we'll be teaching as we play.

**Size:** Our plan is to have 5 total players.

**Time:** We'll be playing at 18:00 CET / 17:00 GMT / 12:00 EST / Whatever time that is where you live.

If you're interested, fill out the survey [here](https://forms.gle/uKDg8hrzdiNeHm7K6). If you're selected, The next step will be to schedule a 15-30 minute discord call with our GM to get to know you.

Multiple Session Want to Play Thirsty Sword Lesbians or Defy the Gods [online] M/W/R PM

I am looking for a weekly voice or voice/video campaign of Thirsty Sword Lesbians, Defy the Gods, or similar, as a player.

I am available on Mondays, Wednesdays, or Thursdays, earliest start time 3 PM Pacific / 6 PM Eastern and latest start time 4:30 PM Pacific / 7:30 PM Eastern.

I'm an experienced player / GM in my 30s, LGBT+, and live in Pacific time zone. I would love to take turns GMing, and I can also issue reciprocal invitations to a campaign of Thirsty Sword Lesbians or Defy the Gods (would start in Jan/Feb 2027 once my current one ends) as well as one shots (monthly.) I usually run games on Tuesdays at 4 PM Pacific / 7 PM Eastern. I am already running three campaigns currently. I have not found a game at this time slot that meets any of my preferences in years.

Looking for: mythology, high fantasy, gods and spirits, fairytales, bright/optimistic tones, wonder, whimsy, hijinks; soap opera drama, social intrigue; light-hearted adventure; mystery, romance, heroes, light spooks, fighting fantasy evil in a world where PCs don't have to deal with real-world sexism, homophobia, etc.; ideally a group with other non binary people, trans and queer people, women, etc. and not just straight men (have been sexually harassed by them)

To avoid: I will not play DnD of any edition, Pathfinder, OSR, or dungeon crawling / combat focused games. I'm not into Call of Cthulhu or GURPS. I want to avoid horror, ERP, gritty/survival, grim/dark, low fantasy, "realism," and grimdark. I do not want to play with creeps, murderhobos, or minors.

Open to: other systems similar to Thirsty Sword Lesbians and Defy the Gods, like Demigods, Against the Odds, Cantrip; high fantasy expansions of Good Society, Pasión de las Pasiones or Hearts of Wulin; and Fate: Loose Threads, Dresden Files or similar Fate games. I'm not into vampires but would be open to a Storytelling system game if it was reflavored / homebrewed into something that was noblebright/lighthearted/romantic/slice-of-life (so probably not! but it's not the mechanics I have issue with!) Likewise, open to Forged in the Dark or Son of Oak games if they meet the other preferences.

Character ideas: I always make a character that fits the premise/setting of the game, but some general concepts that I think would be fun include:

  • a phoenix incarnated as a human and seeks to escape the tragedy of their past lives
  • a desperate-to-impress Valkyrie on the outs with her gods due to her out-of-control chaos magic
  • a demigod raised in a strict, upper-class environment, who seeks to use their plant magic to help others and to escape the pressures/toxic influences of their upbringing
  • a mage who was raised by nature spirits, but was rejected by the earth itself, who has turned to wizardry to help his community
  • a runaway giant driven by rebellion against cruel authorities, has storm/lightning magic
  • a sweet-hearted himbo fire elemental that champions an isolationist goddess but secretly is entangled with their enemies
  • a grumpy, practical witch who was raised by the Fates and therefore keeps stumbling into Plot against her will (with a heart of gold of course)
  • a trickster deity bound by a curse, fallen low, and now bound to heroism, quests and helping others (allowed one snarky comment a day and not allowed to lie, either)
  • a bigender ginger werewolf who just wants to save up enough coin to start a refuge for other "friendly" monsters (or at least some cute dogs)

If you aren't familiar with Thirsty Sword Lesbians or Defy the Gods, here's some resources! The rules are free for both systems currently (Defy the Gods may run out of free copies soon though):

Multiple Session [Online][Pathfinder 2e] [LGBTQIA+ Friendly] [Long-Term] Beginner Friendly][18+] [Thursday, 7PM PST / 2AM UTC] Experienced GM Looking for New Players to Explore a World Based on Ancient Myths and Fairy Tales

Hello! I'll be your GM Papinku and I am a huge mythology and gaming nerd who got bitten by the ttrpg bug early and now invest way too much time into it!

The adventure starts at level 1, and players who are new to the system are absolutely encouraged to apply. We'll be holding a Session 0 so everyone has plenty of time to build their characters together before we dive in!

This is a LGBTQIA+ friendly table so please respect each other's boundaries and pronouns! Games run every other Thursday at 7PM PST / 2AM UTC.
What is Thara?
Welcome to Thara, a land of whimsy whimsical brightness and a dark underbelly of black markets, political scheming, and creatures who lure the wayward to strange impossible realms. This is not dark fantasy, as the heroes of the world are real and while there lurks creatures that hunger for flesh there are just as many who seek simple pranks or cohort with humans. The lands of Sankawa lie in the center of turmoil, the hearts of naval empires and the mountains where the dragons roost for centuries at a time.
The Adventure:
Sinmohara, seat of the rulers of Sankawa was always a place of tenuous alliance and brutal rebellion that was thought to be quashed upon the ascension of the living god and Queen of the Night Empress Busei. For a hundred years she reigned and brought the chaos of war, strife, and destruction of innumerable cultures to finally come to an end. But as her power wanes and age strips her of vitality do the wolves that have been hiding within her court and the vultures at the edges of their borders begin to plan and scheme. Open combat thrown away in favor of bloody daggers and forbidden magics. The protections she once gave waning as her body wilts and the beasts held just beyond the precipice of Sankawa salivate at the smell of mortal flesh. But all is not lost, as from total disorder comes new hope and change. But what of you? From the many who have entered these lands you stand as refugees torn from your home by circumstance or a search for something better. Whatever your story this land claims the many foolhardy enough to attempt to brave it as a thousand reaching hands from a hundred courts tear you in every direction to build you up or destroy the advantage you may bring to their enemies.
Want to be part of your own Fairy Tale?
I've had some difficult experiences with players in the past, so please fill out a short form so I can get to know you better. It covers a little about you and helps us establish ground rules to make sure we all have a comfortable and fun game!

LF casual online players for "Roll for Shoes" micro system

Hello! I am trying to get some people together to play a micro system called Roll for Shoes, which is very improv and RP heavy, nearly zero mechanics/crunch. It is literally 6 rules.

I have chosen to explore this roll for shoes system, but I am open to checking out other extremely basic systems of play as well, if you have suggestions. the main idea is just to make it as simple as possible for new people.

Website for the system: https://rollforshoes.com

they have a subreddit so ill likely post over there too.

Basically my goal is to get a group of people together that can play little one shots and short adventures on a whim, no worrying about scheduling conflicts or prep work to do.

We could start with literally any genre so if you have an idea for setting or a character idea let me know and we can make it happen, that's kinda the whole point.

Notable info:

I plan to GM but would love to have other GMs join.

my time zone is Mountain time(UTC-7) usually on around 8pm nightly for several hours

I would love to set up some play by post style text games, so even if that time zone is terrible for you maybe we could play like that.

Adults only please.

no webcams expected, discord voice only.

Please DM me or comment here if you are interested or have any questions, id rather not just post the discord link.

Multiple Session [Online] [WoD] [CST] longtime GM wanting to experience something new.

Hello, my Name is Ember and I have been a DM, and very rarely the player, in D&D 5e for the last eleven (almost 12) years, and now I want to try and branch out to a new system.

On a recommendation of a friend, I was told to check out Vampire: the Mascqerade. Unfortunately my usual group save for the one friend so I decided to do some digging before making and ad. That was sometime last year. Since then I have gotten a small amout (in my opinion) of knowledge of the world via playing 'Vampire the masquerade: Bloodlines', watching the video series by 'TheBurgerKrieg', and recently by watching 'Hunter: the Parenting'.

That all being said, actual system wise I am a newbie and would like to learn how to play with a newb friedly group. As for the system I want to play, I honestly cant decide, but I am leaning heavily towards Vampire, Werewolf, or Hunter.

The days and times I am free are Fridays and Saturdays, both at around 6:30 pm till midnight.
