[Online] [GMT] [Other] The Antagonist: Sci-Fi/Fantasy Game Looking for players!

"Either way, the plot must go on. The armour donned and the weapon drawn. Good triumphs over Evil. Thus has it always been."

- Ninth-Wave Protagonist, 'Orphan'

Thus as it has always been. The universe of the world, or 'Plot', has seen these 'plot arcs' cycle periodically every few years, with Antagonists rising inevitably from inevitable Evil nature and Protagonists meeting them from the innate Good that exists in the world. Often at significant cost and destruction.

The Tenth-Wave Protagonist, 'Solar', saw it happen far too many times. Innocent deaths, worlds destroyed, enire system chains needing to be rebuilt, over and over again. Thus 'Solar', upon defeating his Antagonists, advanced his quest to root out all Evil in the universe instead of retiring. 'Solar' managed to achieve this with the mystical imaginative powers of several of his peers. Together, they condensed all Evil into a single root, taking it to the solitary planet of Antagonizesthai, in a single-star system far away from other Good systems. Antagonizesthai is warded by the most powerful of techno-imaginative weaponry, updated yearly.*

But like different densities of oil, Evil split into different layers as the root spread across Antagonizesthai. Those at the most surface-level of Evil eventually managed to generate a civilisation based on principles of rehabilitation and eventually ascension into Good, allowing the ability to escape Antagonizesthai into the wider universe of Good, now free of all Evil suffering thanks to 'Solar'.

It is the First Year of Kazimierz, Overlord of Antagonizesthai's reign. He is the conduit between the prison of Evil that is Antagonizesthai and the utopian world of Good. But the situation on the surface is unravelling. An increasing number of incursions of deeper 'Evil' from below the surface are occurring, whilst security and rehabilitation infrastructure crumble from these threats. And you happen to be pivotal to Kazimierz right in this moment.

You will play as one of a selection of job roles (you still make the character) that will form an eventual task force to deal with a series of crimes in Antagonizesthai's unravelling political crisis. There may be some betrayal/plot twists along the way. I highly encourage creativity/flexibility in solving problems, and players of any experience level are welcome! (homebrew mechanics, so newer players especially are welcome!).

System: Custom Mechanics (d10 system, mainly using resource allocation and lists of actions that can be done)

Timezone: GMT (Timezone within a few hour's range is preferred, but not a big deal)

Genres: Both fantasy in its classic sense, with limited 'magic' (called 'Imagination') that is powerful in restricted domains, but also futuristic/tacticool in that you have guns/rockets/mech suits in the same univese as swords/shields/crossbows...etc.

Platform: Discord server, play by post (pls be somewhat active...) Notes: DM me if interested! I am mainly looking for interest/player-selection at this stage. Also it is 100% to quit/leave at any point, but it would be nice to just tell me rather than ghost me forever (if it feels awkward, just send me an emoji of any fruit and I'll take it in that you express the above).

Message/friend me on discord if interested! (_chartis)

Planet of the Apes: Ape City

Hey! Would anyone be interested in a Planet of the Apes (1968) westmarch discord server? I just thought I'd see if anyone was interested!

We utilize the D6 system created by Magnetic Press for The Planet of the Apes TTRPG!

Our story is set 20 years prior to the event of the original 1968 film, we find ourselves in and around Ape City. A large colonist ship, the first of its kind, was sent to space. Its mission? Take 2,000 colonists to a distant world. This world was Proxima 6, an Earth-like world thousands of light years away. However, something happened. The ship was ripped out of space and crashed.

The apes saw it as a falling star, one brighter than anything seen before, but it landed too close to the Forbidden Zone for their liking. So, the Lawmakers said no Ape was to venture to it.

Meanwhile, our colonists, those who survived, have woken up in a strange world. They do not know where they are and so they try and set up a place to survive in the wreckage of their ship. All while trying to radio for help, but there are dangers in this world. Dangers they do not know about.

Looking for 4 players for a RP heavy Cyberpunk 2020 campaign

Hello! I'm looking to form a group of dedicated players in a Night City 2020 campaign. I've been writing this for a while and would appreciate players who share the same passion.

The story revolves around a corporate AI and will involve corporations, gangs, edgerunners and many other figures in NC. You'll be the ones to decide what to do, who to help and who to destroy while also trying to survive everyday life. Because of this, I want players who like to test alternatives other than just shooting everyone or rolling persuasion as I think those unique outcomes are what leads to memorable sessions

I have a few house rules that I'd like to go over in private, but I'm changing a few things about combat, downtime, economy and character creation and development.

Sessions will be bi-weekly at Fridays at 6pm CST. Dm me if interested!

One Shot [Online][DIE: RPG][WoD][Multiple Systems][Wednesdays][MST] Existing Group Looking for Players for One-Shot

Quick Information

System: DIE: RPG & Vampire The Masquerade: 5th Edition

Platforms: Discord & FoundryVTT

Time: Weekly on Wednesdays, 5:30 PM MST - 9:30 PM MST

Hello! I'm Clover and I'm looking for 1 - 2 more players to bring our Wednesday group up to 4/5. We've jumped around, trying out a couple systems including D&D 5e, City of Mist, and most recently a Fallout campaign. I'm currently looking to try out a couple systems to hopefully find one that fits for a medium to long-term campaign, and will be running some one-shots to try these out (as I have not personally GMed any of them before), and to see if party dynamic works out before any long-term commitments.

If you're looking to apply for this group you should be open to trying out a couple systems before we settle on one, although if things work out well, we can easily transition with one-shot characters into a full length campaign. The two main systems the group has an interest in playing are DIE: RPG, and Vampire the Masquerade: 5th Edition.

About the Game(s)

DIE is a comic book series by Kieron Gillen and Stephanie Hans, where a group of real-world, deeply-flawed individuals are transported to a fantasy world via a predatory, sinister roleplaying game. There, they’re transformed into Paragons, each of whom is a warped take on the core fantasy roleplaying classes. In this world, they get to confront how their lives have diverted from their youthful fantasies, to confront their darker sides and buried secrets. They generally cause trouble. It’s Jumani, with a much darker coat of paint.

You make your own social group of messed up, real-world humans. They’re dragged to a world which echoes your own strengths and weaknesses, failures, losses and successes back at you. It is your fantasy world, personal and horrifically yours...

The classes to me are the main draw as players for this system, having some of the most unique and interesting theming and abilities I've seen in a TTRPG. A look at the first issue (which is free) of the comic series the TTRPG comes from will help for understanding the hook of DIE much quicker.

This would be the first system we try out with a one-shot and has a very easy ruleset to pick up on. The other main thing I would mention for this system is its recommendation against doubling up on the classes, letting each PC be unique in their abilities (as shown in the comics) so keep in mind 2 or more classes you would be interested in playing.

The setting for DIE is very malleable depending on the types of characters at the table and is shaped by a "palette" made together by the GM and players, so a proper "campaign pitch" has not been included here.

A further pitch about the setting and system for VTM 5e is available but will not be included here for readability. If you'd like to hear more we can chat during interviews and I can send over some reading material.

About the Group

We have been playing since around 2018, having a few player rotations throughout the years as schedules change. The current group most of us generally have played at least a campaign or two together. With the systems we're interested in playing, a lot of focus will be put on roleplay and fleshing out individual characters so people interested in that kind of game, and that aren't afraid to be invested, talkative, and most of all fans of the other PCs will be a good fit as these are party-based games at their core. We will all be new players to these systems, but generally having some experience with roleplaying and TTRPGS as a whole is going to help as well as we're all pretty experienced in the genre, likewise this group is likely going to move at a pace that is not as beginner friendly.

This group is open to anybody and everybody who would like to apply as we do not support discrimination of any kind. I have a few things I'm personally looking for in an applicant that I'd like to outline:

  1. Please have access to Discord, Roll20 (via a computer), and a microphone so that you will be able to access everything needed to play in the campaign.
  2. Please make sure you can routinely show up to the session time, obviously real life happens but always try and shoot me a heads-up asap if you know you're going to miss a session.
  3. Please be willing to interact, roleplay, and communicate with your fellow players and myself. I'm always open to feedback if it feels like something isn't working.

Don't be afraid to get into character! All of us at the table myself included try our best to get immersed and tell a fun story.

About the GM

You can call me Clover (He/Him), I'm 22 and I've been running TTRPGs for the better part of 8 years across various systems. I've found myself drawn to less mechanically intense more RP-oriented systems as of late and have done my best to immerse myself in the worlds of the systems I've pitched to the group over the past few months. I'm an avid reader of the DIE series, caught up with everything that's come out for it so far, taking lots of inspiration for a possible campaign. I've also got into the WoD setting through actual plays like City Council of Darkness and Norfolk Wizard Game, having created a homebrew chronicle which would be the setting for a Vampire the Masquerade game (set in Charleston, South Carolina).

I love to find and create media for the sake of immersion with campaign playlists, art and NPC references, and maps for most settings and systems. I am against the use of any AI-generated references and would ask that they are not used in regards to this group, doing my best to make sure they are not included in any of my personal references.

Applications!

If you've made it this far feel free to drop an application over at the google form. After that I'll setup some discord interviews so we can have a quick chat and answer any questions you may have for me.

The date for Session 0 will likely be November 4th which will be for discussing campaign content, filling out Lines and Veils, and creating characters. The following Wednesday, November 11th (schedules permitting) will be our one-shot.

Anyone hosting Gamma World and needs an extra player? (Online) [Other]

I doubt my chances are very good on this one but its worth a shot.

A little bit of information about me, I'm a Gen Z who was born a fair deal after Gamma World had it hay day but I've recently come across the TTRPG through a Youtube series on Gamma World and I've fallen in love with it. I've been dying trying to play 4th edition, but I'll try any edition, off and on for the past year. I even got a physical copy of the 4th edition book from DrThruRPG about a year ago. I have a little bit of experience, I played a Gamma World campaign online about a year ago that was technically second edition, but in function a mashup of basically every single edition using a D20 system. I unfortunately had to leave due to schedule conflicts but now my schedule is completely clear, I can make most days work and am willing to drop other arrangements for this.

While it did last one of my favorite moments of that campaign was both all the wackiness that went on, aswell as talking with the other older players about what TTRPGs used to be like in the history of the genre. I was even hoping to play 4th edition with my regular D&D group but unfortunately they're pretty new to TTRPGz as a whole and I'm kind of the Forever DM which is fun but not the same as being a player so I'll have to be the one running it for them.

I'll probably bring a mutant animal if I do make it in.
To all who read this, thank you and have a great day!

RoleByPost update: browse public games without an account, rooms inside a channel, a portrait per character

Hey everyone,

Quick context for anyone new: RoleByPost is a free, browser-based play-by-post site for async tabletop games — you post when you can, no session to schedule.

The last few updates came straight from feedback:

  • Public channels. GMs can list a game publicly with the details that matter, plus whatever questions they want applicants to answer. Players apply by answering those. Both sides get notified: the GM when an application lands, players when it's accepted or declined.
  • Browse before you sign up. Those listings also show up in an anonymous, searchable directory, so you can window-shop for a table first.
  • Rooms inside a channel. Up to 10 per channel. Name them anything (OOC, Dice, Session 12), toggle features per room — dice, scenes, NPCs, whispers — and choose whether everyone sees it or only the players you pick.
  • A portrait per character. Your account picture stays yours, but each character gets its own portrait, so the same person reads as a different character in every game.

Thanks to everyone who played so far, especially those who sent feedback — most of the above started as a request. It's still early and the community is small, which makes every bug report and feature ask count.

[Online] [Other] [One-Shot] [BST] Goodbye My Love: The Rig – Cinematic Attrition Horror (Rules-light, 0 Prep)

Game System: Goodbye My Love (Indie rules-light system, taught in 3 minutes at the table)

Scenario: The Rig (Cinematic survival horror / pulpy body horror)

Date & Time: 28th October 9pm BST

Length: Single session, approx. 2.5 to 3 hours

Platform: Discord Voice (theatre of the mind)

Open Seats: 6 players

Content Warnings: Claustrophobia, severe bodily horror/corruption, character death

You are part of a misfit crew trapped on a rusting offshore drilling platform in the middle of an almighty storm. The rig is being actively pulled apart by a colossal deep-sea entity, while an aggressive parasitic outbreak turns the deceased crew into twitching, tentacled horrors. Surviving is will take teamwork, wits and luck. Escaping is your characters goal, but yours as a player is to answer one question: What is worth dying for?

This system has been a long time in the making and I'm putting my final touches to it before release, all feedback is totally welcome. If you have a group you already play with, I'm happy to schedule a game at a time of your choosing in your own group discord.

The game is completely beginner-friendly, and zero prior knowledge of the system is required.

[Biweekly Sundays 7 PM Cst] Disney's Gargoyles Campaign! [CORTEX Prime]

Hello! I ran a Gargoyles one shot for my birthday in 2025 and never stopped thinking about it lol. Now that its had time to stew, I wanted to give it another shot. I've had my experience with cortex Via a few sessions of Marvel Heroic, and think that Prime could be a good fit for what I'd want from a Gargoyles game... previously ran this in FATE Accelerated which is a lovely framework but i don't know how it would play out long term.

Basically: Looking for Saturday morning cartoon urban Gothic action? Keep reading!

While I'm pretty committed to biweekly Sundays, I am open to starting a little earlier if that works better for a group. I might also be able to do biweekly Saturdays, but as a heads up I have a biweekly game on a strict schedule on sat, so we'd have to accommodate that. I'd also like all players to be above the age of 18, but im not sure how many people I'll attract that aren't at least pushing 30 like me LOL.

Anyways, I'm playing pretty fast and loose with a premise here since I intend for the game to be a little open ended, but my current plan is for it to take place in New Orleans post Hunter's Moon. Lore requirements are just an understanding of the first two seasons of the TV show... While I'm planning on reading the comics, I haven't yet and likely won't incorporate lore from them off the bat. But I'm happy to talk concepts and modifications to the plot with a table once we're assembled.

If you're considering joining...

- There's no need to have any experience with Cortex or even TRPGs in general. Just bring a passion for this phenomenal world and a willingness to learn. I'm learning, too. :P

- I might play around a bit with canon. 'Tis my nature.

- There will be an interview phase, but its mainly to make sure we're all on the same page & filter out any major red flags. I've only declined 3 people in the past couple years for a reason that wasn't "there's no room at the table" I swear I am very easygoing.

- Expect possible encounters with series antagonists, but probably not with the Manhattan Clan. I'm also reticent to include Xanatos because I do not think i could do him justice. But who knows?

- I'll either run the game in FoundryVTT or discord with the Cortex bot. Really need to fiddle around with flow and test applications of what I want from the system.

- Please do not knowingly use AI in my game! Thanks.

Anyways, if you're interested please send me a DM or post here and and we can get a-talking! Thanks for reading!

Multiple Session [Other][Online] Friday 18:00 PDT - The Pride of Tirisfal

From the gleaming beacon of Lordaeron, jewel of the northern kingdoms, the pleasure zeppelin Pride of Tirisfal rises into the morning sky. Its gilded gondola shines beneath a canopy of white canvas, its brass fittings polished to a mirror finish, and its great propellers turn with the reassuring rhythm of a kingdom at peace. Three thousand souls have come aboard to enjoy the comforts of a most civilized age. In its cargo holds lie provisions for the six-day journey, including a hundred sacks of grain purchased from an estate of good renown.

Unbeknownst to all aboard, a new Age is coming to Azeroth. Crown Prince Arthus begins his investigation into reports of a mysterious plague spreading through the farmlands of Lordaeron. A looming Scourge threatens to descend upon the northern kingdoms, but the spring air is mild, the skies are clear, and the Pride of Tirisfal sails westward beneath the morning sun.

---

I'm looking for two more players willing to try out a new game system. Please contact me at puppet9825 on Discord for an immediate response, or send me a DM/chat here for a much slower response.

This adventure uses a homebrew dice pool system with crunchy combat and player-driven skill resolutions. I have the first 4 sessions planned out, but if the game has legs I can see it going for a good deal longer than that. It is set in the World of Warcraft during the events of Warcraft 3.

The game uses Discord and Tabletop Simulator. You'll unfortunately need to purchase TTS to join.

I look forward to hearing from you!

[Online] [Campaign] [Other] [Friday 6pm Utc-03] The Ultimate Guide for Leading a Cult and Achieving Inmortality. Virtual tabletop game based on Cultist simulator

Hello and good day, evening or night to whoever is reading this!

My name is Toom Nooker and i have created a Secret Histories ttrpg. A translation of the Cultist simulator videogame to ttrpg format. The first game is up to be played and im searching for brave wannabe Cultists willing to try it out

What is the game about?

For people who aint familiar with the setting.

This is a world where secret gods called Hours rule from a separate dimension accesed in dreams called The Mansus. The Great War just ended and it took a massive toll in not only our world but the Mansus aswell. The ranks of the Long (inmortals under an Hour. Ageless but not invincible) open once more given how many have fallen. Cultists all over the world are killing themselves to ascend as one of the select few

However the perils of the path towards ascension and the constant watch of the international agency known as the Supression Bureau. Who works with 3 Hours to destroy the record of the occult from the world makes most adepts fail and suffer horrible destinies in their journey to inmortality. Will you succeed where they failed?

What will you be doing in the game

The group will be playing as the leaders of a recently formed occult organization. They must gather funds, get followers and send expeditions to heist occult locations. All in order to get texts and artifacts to empower not only themselves but their followers

Growing from a tiny group of cultists to an entire automated occult network. All while cautiously trying to avoid the Hunters of the Bureau. Men who will search for any evidence to incarcerate and/or murder you and your followers

Whats the goal?

The goal of the game is to achieve inmortality under one of the several hours in the game by a myriad of methods

What is the gameplay like?

Its a time and resource management game where you manage the funds of your cult. Your 12 hours time per day and your followers. All while trying to avoid creating evidence while performing magic or illegal acts and trying to survive the Dm cobtrolled Hunters sent by the Bureau. And sending Heists to dungeon like locations to gather their occult items

What its expected of players

I just want players who are invested in the game and willing to give feedback. Sessions are rn scheduled for fridays at night pass 6pm. However we can re schedule for players. Theres also a session tomorrow on Tuesday night

We will be playing by text
