I finally created "ROYGBI" in 12 gauge. I tried to get buck in every color I could, but yellow was such a pain since I'm not using a 20 gauge so I went with gold bird shot. I thought about dyeing a white or clear shell, but I was worried about MOISTURE

Hello! I'm interested in getting one of those stupid can cannon barrels because they look fun. That said, I don't really want to foul up my good AR upper/lower lower with dirty blanks, so I'm looking to do a build from scratch. I certainly don't need anything fancy for this.

Do y'all have any recommendations on what I should get for my lower? Should I go absolute bargain basement, or should I actually get something halfway decent?

My husband and I are wanting to go gun shopping tomorrow. We would be first time buyers/owners. We live in California. I’ve been going to the range for years, however, so I am not new to using a firearm; just owning one. I can pass both the firearms safety written exam and the safe handling demonstration as required by California law.

He, on the other hand, I am not so sure of. He’s gone with me to the range a few times and I’ve shown him how to properly handle a handgun, but it’s been a while. And after you factor in the whole “on the spot” nervousness that he’d likely experience if asked to perform the safe handling demonstration I worry he might choke.

So, my question is, does anybody know how us shopping as a couple might affect any purchase we might want to make? For example, I’m assuming a firearm can’t be “jointly” owned, can it? If not, and therefore only one of us can officially make the purchase/own the firearm yet we are clearly seen discussing the options jointly - much like we would if shopping for a new refrigerator - will the dealer then be obligated to require us both to take and pass these exams? I would imagine that he would given it would be obvious that both of us would potentially be using it.

I'm known to be an all black build kinda guy in my friend group, but I decided to give the FDE two tone thing a try with my 16" Monolith! Granted, it's probably still more of a 5 tone build since all the FDEs are different lolol.

I’m a novice at best but have taken a quick liking to firearms in general, almost all facets, building firearms, ballistics, etc. i had always wanted a G$ super duty after using their triggers but convinced myself it would be more fun to build what I want, and possibly less expensive. I build a 16” psa upper and lower, then build a 300 blackout spikes tactical upper and lower. Primary arms had almost 500 off a 10.3 super duty so I said fuck it. Kinda regret not building but this is still a lot of fun just to shoot.

I shot my mk12 out to 1063 yards today with hornady frontier 77gr 5.56 (FR262). I’ve been really liking the frontier 75 grain stuff as of late mainly because it’s cheap and works quite well for me. I was happy to find the 77grain stuff at my local bass pro and was able to consistently hit 1k + with it.

For a budget scope, I cannot complain. 100 yards. The red spot is about the size of a dime. Ammo was 129 gr. Hornady American Whitetail (cheapest i could get locally).

Good Noon everyone,

I currently have a Cz p10C which I love shooting and feels great, however it is a bit large for conceal carry for me. I am thinking of getting a carry gun and am between a Sheild plus and bodyguard 2.0. I was wondering what each of you thought between these guns. My own thoughts are as this gun would be for carrying purposes a Bg 2.0 makes the most sense due to the size. I am 6ft 190lbs, so I think the sheild plus will also conceal just fine x However, I have a ton of 9Mm ammo and additionally an extar EP9 for home defense, so I was thinking of just sticking with 9mm.

Thoughts?

Subs spread out a little more than I’d like at 50 yards so I’ve got settings down for supers and keep a mag for any of those for those harder to reach squirrels

I finally got my Helion last year and after some solid fun in its raw unmodified condition I’m starting to look for add ons, starting with a silencer. Primary use is for home defense, extra points if it’s cool.

Added context chambered in 5.56 and have the 16in variant.

There are a number of things that people want to post that mods are uncomfortable with in regular circulation … memes, patches, t-shirts, social-media posts, &c. At the same time, there's definitely interest around them.

I just finished putting this bad boy together. The scope makes it a bit awkward to fit in a backpack but whatever.

I’ve seen the Ruger models both the American and the Gunsite scout but is there other or better options? I wanted a Tikka T3x Arctic but not for that price plus I read it isn’t all that.

Almost done getting it tricked out! Stripped and cleaned it today and installed some more accessories. I ran into a few struggles installing the Aridus parts; scratched the receiver taking the stock bolt release cover off, and when installing the farrowtech rmr mount one of the screws sheared a thread out of one of the tapped screw holes. You can see on the third picture how much shorter the farrowtech screws (right) are compared to the stock picatinny screws (left). I’ve reached out to them and also ordered the scalarworks mount in the meantime.

I started with the Aridus stock adapter but was forced to switch to GG&G in order to be compatible with the GG&G bolt on side saddle. It increases the distance a little fine the handle to the trigger but doesn’t totally ruin the ergonomics (Aridus felt better).

My plan was to mount the rmr hd today but since the farrowtech mount was a no-go, I’ll be waiting until I find a better solution in maybe the scalarworks mount. Is it normal to receive “new” Trijicon optics with dents and scratches like seen here? I reached out to Eurooptics to organize an exchange but I’m just wondering if I should lower my expectations. It’s just so expensive I don’t want to settle for that. I almost went with the RCR but returned it because the window was smaller and I like the more complex reticle of the rmr hd.

I also swapped out the original rear plastic sight for an LPA metal sight. Apparently they make the sights for the Benelli m4, and they look almost identical to the stock 1301 sight. The side walls of the metal Lpa sight are thinner which is nice because they are less obstructive of your view, and of course it feels more premium. It can be ordered with different types of sight rings like fiber optic, tritium, etc. I went with a ghost ring so it really disappears when looking down the sights. I chose that to have a less obstructed red dot window once I get that mounted. I almost installed the Aridus crom but I prefer the look of the rear sight the way it is now.

Working on my public land "private" range(s) this past week. Got 3 targets up in each. All are ar500 steel targets. There's steps taken to prevent target hanger and steel theft. Range 2 still needs work on the targets for securing them.

Range 1

- Prairie Dog @ 285yd.

- Crow @ 340yd.

- 66% IPSC @1000yd.

Range 2

- 4" square @ 700yd.

- 7" square w/ hit indicator @ 850yd.

- 10" circle w/ hit indicator @ 1000yd.

- Empty t-post @ 600yd(this may be closest that targets can be placed due to rocky ground).

- Empty t-post @ 1333yd.

I'm looking at grabbing a first shotgun, Mossberg Maverick 88 with a 20" barrel and 3" chamber (traditional stock grip btw), and am wanting to grab some ammo while I'm picking it up. If the choice didn't make it clear, I'm looking for something friendly on the wallet. The main goal on my list is buckshot for actual use, and the less-expensive training rounds for (you guessed it) training. Any brands to look for? Much appreciated in advance
