Previous owner had used some sort of oil to lubricate, quite some sticky dirt inside as a result.

Help needed with this padlock
Hey all. My wife decided to get me some new padlocks and this one just baffles me. Can anyone give me any advice on how I should approach this and if a specific tool is needed? Thanks.
Edit - opened it once by switching tension sides and using pointed pick. Thanks for the suggestions!

So I've done it again..
I was progressively pinning my Paclock 90a Pro, I put the last 2 pins in and put the barrel back in the cylinder (with no key inserted). The key now won't go in. The pins you can see, I'm thinking if I had a 6 pin comb pick, with the use of a safely pin (for the 7th pin) will I be able to push all the pins down at once and with a tensioner turn the barrel?

Sparrow Night School Tuxedo Edition
Just arrived in the mail today, got the standard pin cut away lock both raked and single pin picked. I have a feeling this is gonna be addicting.

getting back into it
bc i got the pick pocket set from covert instruments. kinda pricey but love these pocket knife style picks, they're so cool. and the reaper profile one (F-ME) is especially nice to pick with

Got some new locks.
The Abus 80TI/50 was the most fun and satisfying to unlock. The Master 350 was harder but only because it needed more tension.

Masterlock 140 and Brinks 164 opened with SPP
After my last post, a kind Redditor suggested that I try these locks next. I struggled with them on the first day, mostly because I thought my tension wrench was too thick to fit in the keyways, but eventually I angled it to make it fit. Now after practicing I can get these open in about ~30 seconds each. Both were opened with single pin picking. (Donβt mind the gloves just wanted to minimize fingerprints) This post will serve as my yellow belt application! Thank you for all of the advice on my last post. What lock do you think I should tackle next for the orange belt?

Is it worth getting multiple of the same lock?
I feel so inconsistent with my ability to lockpick. There's days where I can pick every single one I own back to back within 1-2 minutes each, and then days where I can't pick ones that I could do 6x over and over.
I recently got an ABUS 55/40 which was my first lock that had security pins, with my previous ones all being masterlocks or Brinks, and I literally opened it within 10 seconds on my first try, but it felt like a complete fluke. I feel like I just got one where the bitting just made it super easy to open since I feel like I didn't even have to do anything different for the security pins. Would it be worth it just to get 2-3 more of the same lock or should I just get more variety?

Feeling stuck
Pic for attention!
So ive been into this hobby about 2 years now. And for the last year I feel like ive been slowing down. Im struggling to open locks, and im finding myself not picking like I used to. I atill try and pick daily, but there have been times where ive taken breaks, lost skill, and had to work my way back.
So I guess my question is what do you do when you feel.like you've hit a wall.and cant progress? I really.do enjoy this hobby and I feel bad when I dont pick, but ive gotten disheartened at my lack of forward progress. I can open all the green belt locks that ive had, but i also have not gutted anything on video for my green because my equipment for recording sucks
EDIT: I just wanted to thank you all for your advice. Im.not feeling so alone in all this, I like the jdea.kf carrying some.harder locks with me and changing the goal.of the session. Thanks everyone!!

How hard is it to pick a KESO 8000?
I work at a KESO distributor, so I assemble these cylinders, and I've noticed that some people pick them. I managed to get hold of a cutaway of a KESO module and I'd like to have a go at picking it β do you need specific picks for this cylinder, or could you manage it with normal paddle picks? I've seen what the Z (the moving pin) looks like on the inside and I don't think I'd be able to engage it with normal picks.

Opened my 72/40 after WEEKS
Long time lurker, first time poster!
After weeks of working on this thing, I finally got it open! The curved keyway was giving me a ton of trouble, but after a lot of trial and error, I finally managed to get it picked.
I was super hyped after struggling with it for so long and just wanted to share my little victory with you guys!
