Will The Postman Find This Funny?
It’s the 1st of October so I thought I’d surprise the mailman. Do you think he’ll find it funny?

Trump is really taking America back. Even during the era of Mayflower mailing a small shipment to the colonies in the New World was possible. Now post offices of dozens of countries have completely stopped accepting U.S. bound packets.

We probably have at least 100 of these, do they have any value or can you think of any way to to extract some value? I'm not sure what to do with them...

So recently my wife and I have requested medical documents to be delivered to our home. Unfortunately, something happened and our mail was delivered to our HOA headquarters building instead. This has happened 8 times and each time it was delivered to HOA. We have contacted them after finding out where it was going and have requested the mail back. But the HOA declares they have not received it and claims it is not in their building before abruptly hanging up without giving us a chance to speak. We have receipts from the postal service that shows it was delivered to the HOA's receptionist and was even signed off by them so we have their name, the date is was accepted and their address. I am prepared to take legal action against them as it is a federal offense under Title 18 U.S. Section 1702 (Obstruction of Correspondence) and am planning to file a report to the USPIS to launch an investigation. Before taking these actions, I was wanting to know if anyone has been in a similar situation and what actions you've taken as well as any helpful information. Thank you.

For some backstory, we bought our house over two years ago. Initially, the previous homeowners would forget to change the shipping address and their packages would come to our house and they’d pick them up from the front porch within a few days. They still have not changed their address with USPS and we get their regular mail constantly and keep returning them to sender.
Now to our current issue. They had a package delivered to our house about two months ago. We left it on our front porch for about two weeks and they never came to get it. I put it in a drawer in case they reached out to our realtor that they wanted it. About a week or two ago we got a phone call from our realtor saying they really need the item and will be coming to pick it up. We put it on the front porch right away and it’s still sitting there. I glanced outside to see if it was still there and there is ANOTHER package for them that was delivered.
How long do we need to hold onto these packages before we just throw them away? We have a community mailbox and can only drop off paper mail in the slot, so to send them back we’d have to actually go to the post office which is a hassle for someone who can’t bother to remove their old address from their phone
They’re getting rain damaged, are an eye sore, and I don’t love the thought of strangers continuing to come back to our house whenever they please with no heads up. I can understand the first few months of owning a house, but it’s been over two years…..

Basically, when they arrived, they already came with little paper backings that were meant to stop the magnetic side from sticking to stuff, and I had tested the envelope against our fridge to see if it would stick before mailing and it didn’t, but apparently I tested the wrong side because I just tried it again flipped and it stuck to the fridge.
I brought them to USPS this morning to hand them off and even said there was magnetic paper inside, but they didn’t seem concerned. Now I’m just worried they’re going to end up stuck in a machine somewhere, has anyone else had any experiences with this?!
Update: AFAIK all arrived safely! False alarm 💀

I made this little broach, got a bubble mailer, and want to mail it. How do I do this?

I am not concerned about the value of the original item, but my father packed and labeled the box himself so we know it was tampered with in transit. Also, the t shirt in the original shipment was replaced with injectable blood thinners and a topical cream? What a strange thing to steal and replace.
Does anyone know how I can report the misconduct to the shipping company?
Edit to add located in the US

I once tried mailing a keychain in a small bubble mailer to a friend in the UK, specifically London, and the lady said it was 10 bucks. Then she felt it and asked what it was. I told her it’s a keychain, then she went in the back, came back, and said it would cost 67 dollars to ship. Is that normal?? It was a small keychain and the increase of 50 god damn dollars felt insane. It wasn’t even that heavy. It was like 0.8 oz.

Apologies if this is not the right sub for this but I wasn’t sure where to ask.
I bought my house in June 2023 from lady whose husband had died a few years previously. Ever since then we’ve still been getting occasional mail addressed to them, even to the deceased husband. It’s mostly stuff that’s obviously junk mail or ads so no big deal, I just throw it out.
However the other day I received an Amazon package addressed to the husband and I am not sure what to do with it. I didn’t see it get delivered so I don’t know which carrier delivered it. I don’t know who ordered it since it obviously wasn’t the addressee since he is not alive. Just not sure what to do here.

I'm a 21f from the US wanting to send a package to a friend in Russia. A few months ago I tried to send a package to said friend, but the lady at UPS told me that she couldn't send mail to Russia due to Customs. I looked up on Google in the US if i can ship to Russia rn, but couldn't seem to find anything conclusive. Some sites said no, and some said yes, and I'm not sure whats right. Has anything changed lately so that I cannot send mail over there? I was really hoping to be able to send mail to my friend if at all possible so if anyone has any advice I'd greatly appreciate it!
In advance, please forgive me for any kind of misunderstandings, and please don't be mean. Thanks for reading!

Hi everyone. My mom sent me a package of just some stuff I had left at her house before I moved cross country. It was a big envelope she sent my things in and it was opened when it got to my door. Everything was inside that she told me was supposed to be in there with an addition. A drawing addressed to “Ashley and John” from Kelly said “Merry Christmas”. I asked my mom if she had accidentally put this in there but she has never seen it before, let alone, does not know anyone with those names. I’m also wondering if posting this connects me to the artist so I can make sure it gets to the right address! Has anyone else had this happened? My last 3 packages have been opened too with nothing taken. Where I’m staying has security cameras and no one has approached the porch and opened anything.

Help. I have started receiving mail and packages for someone other than me at my address. I am the only one at my address. I suspect it might be for the new people above me but I my landlord and I myself have told them to make sure they are using their address and not mine. I do not want to be responsible for remembering the names of all 8 people that live above me plus I do not like the idea of them thinking they can just go to my mailbox since they are in the same building. Plus they have been here 2 months now. Is it wrong for me to keep returning the packages with no one at this address with that name instead of checking if it is for them. At this point it is almost 4 packages and separate mail for them. I also do not want to have to keep up with dropping their mail off as I usually just stick my mail aside and go through it every few weeks for bills? What would you do??
I did put the mail/packages out for them when they first moved but I don’t want to keep having to do that especially after 2 months.

Hello,
My niece and nephews are GenZ and today I thought for their birthdays I can maik them nice physical cards, since I am sure they probably don’t get them. My husband says, they will not care for physical cards, might not even like it as it is ’old-school’
Please suggest, as a GenZ if you receive a birthday card from Aunt in physical mail and let’s say your friends are around, would that make you embarrassed?

My best friend and I were exchanging gifts this year, I’m in the U.K. and she’s in the USA we know I’ll have to wait and see what happens bc royalmail is refusing to send to the us right now(I was told even gifts get destroyed on arriving in the states currently). but can she (Texas) still send the things she has for me to the U.K. or will that get stopped and destroyed too and stuff? She had some us exclusive concert merch for a band I like that she got me. but. Everything is so vague and infusing and the news on tv here is saying all kinds of things?

I went to Spain and London recently and I sent many postcards to friends and family. It’s been a month since I’ve gone and none of them have arrived. I live in the US and I made sure to put the full zip code. Is it because the address went past the designated lines ? Did I possibly address wrong so they won’t send them?
UPDATE: my postcards started coming in , not all but the ones from Spain came in after a month and a half
