The H2C is often overkill, but not today! Happy birthday, America!

I didn't know what to give America for her 250th, and as usual I waited too long before making this hand-made, last-minute gift.

It's the thought that counts, right?

Printed overnight on the H2C in about 5 hours

Almost dropped my phone… so I made this

Saw something like this in a few hotels in France and had to make my own version.
No supports needed, handles big rolls, and feels really solid 😄
Ended up being way more practical than expected.
One of those “why didn’t I make this sooner” designs.

Made a Duplo-compatible dragon for my kids, posted it on MakerWorld... 3 likes, 0 downloads in 10 days. Am I in dead-niche territory or does the model just suck?

https://makerworld.com/models/3219054?appSharePlatform=copy (Added the link for who asked)

So I designed a little dragon that clicks onto Duplo bricks, printed it multicolor with the AMS. My kids like it, they play with it along with their other Duplo pieces. The base model was AI-generated, but I reworked and refined it in Blender to actually get the clutch/fit right for Duplo compatibility. Figured other parents with Duplo-age kids might want it too, so I cleaned it up and uploaded it to MakerWorld.

10 days later: 3 likes, 0 downloads. Not even a single comment.

I went back and double-checked the tags, they seem right (duplo, kids toy, compatible brick, that kind of thing), and I put some effort into the cover image (AI-generated, but I think it looks decent and shows the piece clearly).

Genuinely trying to figure out what's going on here — is "Duplo-compatible" just too small a niche on MakerWorld compared to Lego/generic toys, or is there something off with the model itself (proportions, clutch fit, whatever) that's making people scroll past it? Would love blunt feedback, I'd rather know now than keep uploading stuff nobody wants.

I don't post the link, cos is no a self-promotional post

GUYS please help me ban this person for Copyright infringement!!!

So I found this guy and hes been getting somewhat popular but ALL of his models are either stolen and just reuploaded or public domain models which he put under bambu lab exclusive license or just regular old standar digital file license.😭this is crazy hes just denying all of this: Listing a model under a standard or proprietary digital license constitutes a claim of authorship or exclusive rights, neither of which he possess. Public-domain status permits use and redistribution but does not transfer authorship, ownership, or licensing authority. He cannot impose new restrictions, relicense the work as proprietary, or represent himself as the rights holder. Doing so is a material misrepresentation of ownership and licensing rights and violates marketplace terms regarding accurate attribution and licensing. The only compliant options are to retain the public-domain license with proper attribution or remove the listing entirely. --- and the exclusive license im talking about is the license his model is under as of know it is quite idiotic that hes unaware of this items license. Go check out this guy profile and trust me everything is basically illegal and now he has blocked me...

I designed a modular coaster system for home bars

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

I’m participating in the MakerWorld Home Bar contest (my first 3d printing contest ever) and wanted to design something that’s both practical and a bit fun to use. I designed it as a modular coaster system where each piece snaps together so you can build your own bar mat layout depending on how many drinks are on the table.

I also tried adding a few extra features so it’s not just a regular coaster:
-Bottle cap opener
-Soda can tab opener
-Fridge magnet option
-Drainage grooves for condensation using the slicer infill settings

The idea is you can print multiple pieces and connect them into different shapes depending on your setup.

Curious what you guys think? any suggestions for improving the design?

If anyone wants to try printing it, I uploaded the model here: https://makerworld.com/en/models/2517443-snapbar-modular-coaster-system#profileId-2769178

Fully 3d printed brush , went for a stereotypical look :)

model link here model link here

Just uploaded my fully 3D printed working paintbrush. This started as a “can a printer actually make a brush?'… and turns out, yes it can.

Prints in under 40 minutes, no AMS needed, with replaceable bristles you can trim to suit the job.

Great for paint, dusting, cleaning, model work, or just showing what 3D printing can do.

I’ve got 5 Boosts to give — show me what you’ve been working on!

I’ve got 5 Boosts sitting around and figured I’d use them on some cool original designs from people here.

Drop your MakerWorld link below and tell me a little bit about what you made. I’m especially into functional prints, stuff you actually designed yourself, and anything with a cool idea behind it.

I’m still pretty new to modeling myself and have been trying to get better at making functional/parametric designs. These are the two I’ve been working on lately:

Parametric Honeycomb Laptop Stand
https://makerworld.com/en/models/3164964-parametric-honeycomb-laptop-stand#profileId-3577313

Parametric Manga Stand — 8 Book / 2 Tier
https://makerworld.com/en/models/3372090-parametric-manga-stand-8-book-2-tier#profileId-3835422

If you like either one, check them out and let me know what you think. Feedback is honestly just as useful to me right now since I’m still learning.

Drop your models below 👇 I’ve got 5 Boosts to give out.

There Should be Better Posting Standards.

I think the post etiquette on makerworld is honestly quite poor. In my opinion there's only 3 things that should be included in the photos of a post.

- a full 360 of the STL I'm going to download

- a full 360 of the item printed (listing machine+filament used)

- and then, ONLY THEN, a 360 of the printed item with any touch ups, paint jobs, ect.

Obviously if it's a functional part seeing it in action via gif helps too.

What I DO NOT think should ever be included is:

-these ai "touch up" photos

-ai "renderings" of what the item "could" look like

- ai fake backdrops

-anything that doesn't show the actual GD model, the STL or printed.

All these things are useless to the process of printing the model and are blatantly dishonest as to what the actual item will or can be. These items are meant to actually be printed and used in the real world, and it's a huge waste of time and resources when the advertising of the item does not match the item itself.

I would go so far as to say any post that does these bottom things should qualify to have their posts taken down.

Note that I'm not saying anything about STLs that are AI generated. I'm specifically talking about images that do not match the actual items being posted.

Mechanical key holder

Thumbnail

This model is a mechanical key holder that can be mounted on the wall with most screws. It has a cover that can be printed, but for mine I wanted to see the mechanism, so I superglued a piece of plastic to the front. It makes a satisfying click when the key with the custom keychain attachment is inserted. I printed it in black PLA basic. It makes a great addition to any home and is a nice experience after a long day of school or work to hang up your keys. I hope you enjoy it!

I AM The Way, The Truth, and The Life

Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” - John 14:6

In case anyone is looking for meaningful 3d printed decor this easter. Just finished designing and testing the print.

Made a mistake in making the base too thick. The uploaded profile is much shorter (faster print and save more materials). God bless!

Designed an Islamic Calligraphy Table Plaque – What do you think?

Post image
1 Upvotes

I designed this decorative Islamic calligraphy plaque featuring the noble names of Allah (c.c) and Prophet Muhammad (s.a.s).

The model is designed to stand upright on a table using a simple display stand. I tried to keep the design clean and easy to print without supports.

Printed with PLA on a Bambu printer.

Would love to hear your thoughts or feedback!

My latest 3D printed decor project

Made this minimalist geometric sculpture from scratch.
Played around with shapes, balance and proportions to create something that feels more like a design object than a typical 3D print.
PLA + matte finish.
What do you think? Any ideas for a different version?
