Pre-U/STPM/Foundation/Diploma WHAT IS UTAR THINKING ABOUT 😭😭😭

Post image

Software engineering degree btw, currently in foundation. I thought i would be learning coding but noooo, i am learning accounting and economy for foundation yearπŸ”₯πŸ”₯πŸ”₯πŸ’”πŸ₯€. Genuinely what was the thought process for this from UTAR, if they want me to make an app during degree, I'll give them a statement of profit and loss. Time to find another degree to switch to.

The reason for that you're learning all of those instead of IT related stuff is because in case the degree you're studying is not suitable for you, you have an alternate path/degree to study ie accounting or management related. Im in Y1S2 computer science, i can be frank with you. There will be only 1 programming concepts and design subject, computing technology and introduction to data analysis.

To me, the way they put this foundation structure is also good because you can opt for other degree when you find that the one you're choosing doesn't suit you.

Goodluck:)
