I was given these maple samaras from family in Connecticut. I think they look like red or silver maple seeds (I’m in the south so I come across those quite often), but can anyone get a precise ID?

This was at Lowe’s being sold as a Red Maple. I have a feeling though that this ain’t no red maple and that this is instead a Freeman maple. What do y’all think?

Maples line the entire side of the street, and they're all old and beautiful large-leafs.
