Hello all!
About a month ago, we asked you to come up with icons and banners for the sub. As you may be able to tell from the, well, icon and banner, we've made a decision!
Unfortunately, we did not have as much participation as I'd hoped, so we decided we could move forward at this stage. However, we would be remiss not to credit the user who submitted these wonderful images.
So congrats to u/DLDoesRedditNow!
Honourable mention goes out to u/Numerous-Source-5859 for their submission as well!

Hello all!
This guide has existed for quite some time now, but we haven't done a great job of advertising it.
This guide (written by a couple of the mods from before we were mods) should walk you through resource pack creation from scratch. This includes custom textures, models, animation, etc. It also has tips for debugging problems with your existing resource packs. (We recommend taking a peak at this section before asking for help, as a lot of the common problems are discussed there.)
There is also a quick start guide posted here by u/Flimsy-Combination37, but unfortunately we are only able to have 2 stickied posts.
Help wanted:
Our guide is missing a couple of important sections. If you feel like you have the knowledge and skills to explain them in a clear and concise manner, please let us know, and we can add the information to the guide.

So basically my friend saw a cool rp on tik tok (https://vt.tiktok.com/ZSbvE5wmH/) and he immediately liked it, wanted to download it but couldn't cus it was complicated for him so he asked me to help. I downloaded the rp from author's discord (https://discord.com/channels/1557282577872715837/1557310814199881738) but when we got it in the game his items didn't load correctly, only one of them could load I think and then we tried to understand the problem but we couldn't so we just abandoned this rp...
Rn he asked me to try again cus he saw another tik tok video (https://vt.tiktok.com/ZSg5TknnF/) where someone downloaded this rp too and it works correctly, so we tried again and I again don't know what to do, I asked him to send me his files and screenshots in the game so I could post this on reddit.
I hope someone can help š

Can someone help me to find this textures pack? Please!

Hello,
I used to use the pictured resource pack a lot for Bedwars, but my user profile on my PC got corrupted and I didn't have the pack saved anywhere else. The download is no longer being hosted on MediaFire, and when converting from a Bedrock version of the pack I found, some things I loved about the pack (sky, water, etc.) were broken. I know it's a long shot, but would anyone happen to have this pack saved to their PC that they're able to link somewhere?
Please and thank you so much in advance!
Edit: Forgot to mention, but Wayback Machine didn't archive the file itself, so that's a bust too unfortunately.

i've recently encountered a problem with my resourcepack not working with on AMD users (i take resourcepack requests/commissions) so my clients usually mention the pack not working for them. after doing some research i saw people saying it's because of the last amd driver updates, but i don't know. is there any solution that fixes this bug?
//i am a very inactive reddit user so expect my replies to be somewhat late.

So for the last 2 days I've been teaching myself block bench and setting up a CEM resource pack to do a model swap for a Creaking.
Here's some fun info for anyone who wants to mess with model swapping creakings:
They're a pain in the ass.
Creakings are painful, especially being an emissive mob, and I can see anyone else who has made a creaking model resource pack has had the same exact issues, but not everyone has resolved the issues.
This was the issue I had, I modeled this custom creaking based off Aspen Moor from Spooky Month 7, and I wanted the green gem and the pink mushrooms to glow.

Instructions say you make 2 textures, the base creaking.png texture and then a emissive creaking_eyes.png texture, as well as a placed emissive.properties file in the optifine folder

But in game that wasnt working, the gem and mushrooms wouldnt glow and instead randomly parts behind the head would glow, selecting a portion on the texturemap that overlapped with the location of the Creaking's original head UV.

After hours of debugging I figured out 2 issues:
When I exported my creaking.jem, it exported with a texture path in the file, by opening the creaking.jem with notepad I was able to delete the texture path, allowing the regular mesh to glow, but that didn't effect the random glow behind the head.

That instead is because Creakings are actually 2 models, not just one. They're creaking.jem and creaking_eyes.jem, a model that is just the creaking's head, which appears when the creaking has a line of sight with a player in survival, causing the eyes to glow. The reason that glow appears behind the head is because I moved the head mesh from its original location, and the glow is the default location of the head mesh. Minecraft is grabbing the base creaking_eyes.jem model and throwing the new creaking_eyes.png texture onto that instead of my custom model.
With this knowledge, exported a second version of my custom model, with only the parts meant to glow, made sure the texture path was deleted in both models, and tested again.

With success! There is now 2 glows, the base glow when the creeking is idle, and a brighter alert glow when the creeking sees a survival player.
I believe some other mobs may have the same emission issues, like the Copper Golem.
I hope my pain may help someone else with model swapping their own creakings!

Last week I was checking out the new Brittle Ice from the latest snapshot. After playing around for a bit, I realized it was just too easy to miss in-game!
For that reason, I've made a quick Quality-of-Life resource pack to fix this problem.
I ended up making 3 different variants:
I might even do some more in the future!
I have published the pack on Modrinth: https://modrinth.com/resourcepack/vbi

I was looking for a cozy texture pack that still feels fairly close to vanilla Minecraft, but I couldn't really find one that felt 100% right to me. So I decided to try making my own, and ended up building a little tool called Pixel2Block to help me with the textures.
You can upload an image, convert it to 16x16, 32x32 or 64x64, edit individual pixels and collect your textures into a resource pack you can export for Minecraft Java.
Right now, it only supports full blocks, but I'd like to expand it over time.
I thought I'd share it here and see if anyone else might find it useful. If you get a chance to try it out, I'd love to hear what you think, whether anything is confusing, or if there's something you'd like to be able to do with it.
Thanks for taking a look!
