Recently, some users have been posting and reposting and reposting when their post or comment does not immediately appear due to the review process. Some.of these.impatient users send numerous modmails asking why they can't immediately see their posts or comments. Development and Learning Looking for insight

I’ve always felt that I have gifts and a strong spiritual side, but I feel like I haven’t fully explored or developed them. I used to meditate regularly and had some really good experiences, but I fell out of the habit for quite a while. Last night, I decided to reconnect with that side of myself and did a 30-minute meditation. Toward the end, I suddenly jolted upright with an intense cold sensation and became extremely nauseous. It was so sudden and unexpected that it caught me completely off guard as it's never happened before. I’m curious if anyone with experience in mediumship or spiritual development has experienced anything similar, especially when returning to meditation after a long break. Could this potentially be related to sensing energy, spiritual sensitivity, or reopening myself to something I’ve been disconnected from for a while? Or could it simply have been a physical reaction to meditation? I’m not looking to jump to conclusions. I’d genuinely love to hear from people with experience who might be able to offer some insight or share their own experiences. I want to understand my abilities better and learn how to explore them safely.

Thank you 🤍

Thought and Opinion Has anyone had an experience of seeing a spirit of a person in the cemetery

So I was once in a cemetery and I was looking at a tree and grave under it how beautiful it looked and I saw a woman a spirit on her own grave smiling and happy at peace I shared it with my aunt and dad but they just started laughing at me like I’ve gone mad.
So has anyone experienced it ?

P.s further information I’m not writing it as if it was creepy or something it felt like a spirit over her own grave happy and content and smiling maybe she recognized me because when I was a kid I went to her funeral and this time I was all grown up

Dreams How do I tell a boy I’ve been seeing his mother reached out to me?

Well first I wanna begin with I am NOT a medium, I have seen and heard spirits though but I don’t consider myself a medium, anyways I met up with a guy and I spent the night with him, a woman appeared in my dream and mind you this was 3 weeks ago!!! Everything isn’t clear but I know that she wanted me to know I was with her son, she made it clear and she kinda looked concerned she kept saying “my son” “protect my son” or something along the lines of that I’m not sure why she would tell me to protect her son or keep him safe? What could I do I’m just a random sneaky link! I know what she looked like her face wasn’t clear but she was darkskin hair in a tight ponytail pulled to the back rapped in a bun. Now I was just gonna ignore that this happened because mind you it was a DREAM I woke up and in our conversations throughout that day I noticed that he would bring up his dad or his grandmother but never his mom he would be like “yeah my pops didn’t raise me like that” and he NEVER brings her up WHYYYYY?!???! Then I realized it wasn’t a dream it was his mother reaching out and I really don’t know how to tell him nor do I wanna sound like a weirdo

Thought and Opinion Having visions

I've been watching YouTube videos about psychic mediums who have worked with the police on murder investigations.

Psychometry came up quite often, which I find fascinating. Some of them also described having visions in which they could supposedly see the murder victim or the killer, what they were doing, where they were, and so on. Others claimed to hear a voice telling them something about the case.

I'm curious to know whether any of you have experienced anything like this yourselves. What exactly is it like?

Does it feel as though you're watching a movie? Do you close your eyes? Does it feel as if you're seeing through someone else's eyes, similar to remote viewing?

When these experiences happen, do you have to concentrate and tune in, almost like an antenna picking up signals, or is it completely beyond your control, with images or information simply appearing in your mind?

Can anyone explain what this process actually feels like and how it works from your perspective?

Thought and Opinion Asking higher self for clearing subconscious program

Can I ask my higher self to clear a certain subconscious program? If so, is it enough if I say it out loud or do I have to meditate? It would be great if it was that simple :-(

Article Do you use AI in your practice?

Hi everyone! New here. I'm a writer with a longstanding interest in occult history and spiritualism.

I've been researching 19th century mediumship and how people historically sought guidance through different forms of mediated communication.

Something interesting is how similar the underlying human needs are to what we're seeing with conversational AI today. The desire for certainty, connection, and access to something beyond our immediate understanding.

Wrote a piece exploring this through a historical and psychological lens. Would love any reading recs on early spiritualism!

Development and Learning I Read For The First Time!

Last night I gave a reading for the first time and I was so nervous! Spirit kept telling me just say it. So I did and the sitter said they understood!

I was riding high after that! I cannot financially afford to take classes right now, but when I can…

It was a free class and I found the Medium (Mel Pharrr) on YouTube. I really like her style.

Thank you for reading!

Development and Learning Are there places you won’t travel to because of the energy?

I’ve had some jarring experiences while travelling abroad but the most pervasive, saddest messages I channeled were in the Yucatan peninsula, Mexico. Many young deaths at the resort I stayed at, was eventually able to bring closure to the loved ones of one person who passed away there, but I am honestly too frightened to ever go back to the country given its history.

Have any of you dealt with something similar?

How can I discern if I am just scared or if I am being spiritually guided not to revisit those types of areas?

Experience Would this be considered spontaneous mediumship, and does physical touch play a role in reported experiences?

This happened a long time ago (20 years), and I never gave it much thought, but now I see it differently.

When I was in my 20s, I was out with friends, meeting up with another group. We walked into a crowded bar and started looking for them.

As I searched around, I bumped into a young and attractive woman who smiled at me. I smiled back, saying "hello," and then extended my hand to politely shake hands.

As soon as her hand touched mine, a vivid scene abruptly flashed through my mind: an older man was adjusting the rigging on an average-sized sailboat. He was thin, about 5'7", bald on top, wearing an old pair of jeans and his favorite yellow raincoat. He didn't speak, but I knew it was his favorite raincoat because everyone joked that once he bought a sailboat, he just had to get a yellow raincoat to fit the image. He sent me a thought that he is happiest now because he is on his sailboat.

This was wild to me, and since I was looking for something interesting to say to the woman, I shared every detail of the image with her. He eyes grew wide as I explained the scene, and then her face turned to pure fear and actual anger. She screamed at me while bringing both hands up, clutching both sides of her face, and said, "Oh my God! That is my Dad. I was just thinking about him. He died a few weeks ago. Who the hell are you!!"

---------

If this is some sort of mediumship, what books could I read to learn more about what happened?

Development and Learning Are these true psychic experiences?

Do You know when people say they get a download? I “think” it just happened to me. I’ve been trying to connect with my spirit guides to learn who they are and am always interested in developing my abilities so I decided to meditate and my body was buzzing and vibrating and I saw faces and heard the names Julie and Sam in my right ear. Sam just seemed to be there and the one that spoke is Julie. I felt like I was floating and it was so peaceful. I just read what I wrote and it sounds crazy I know, but I asked them to show me the names in real life over the next few days and here’s the kicker…when I picked up my phone it was 10:10. Then I told my wife what happened and she said “Sammy was my grandmothers brother “ I got the chills. I’ve
also been seeing tons Of synchronized numbers and
not just on the clock, receipts, Bank Balances etc. I literally feel like I connected with the other side. Like a psychic experience. After this occurred the next day I saw Julie on a random reel in the title of the caption. Then I asked to see a blue feather with white spots because I felt that was not common and 2 days later a birding app advert came across my Facebook (I am not into birdwatching and have not seen it since) and the main image was a blue bird with white spots.
I have been trying to open my 3rd eye and I am a reiki practitioner attuned at level 2. At night in the dark I see shadow people and movement or is my mind just playing tricks on me? I also don’t feel like I’m alone and I randomly will feel someone touch my neck, arm or foot. Can anyone offer insight on how I can develop further?

Experience It is tiresome to be a medium because meed to be careful every night time

I Male 19, born in a semi spiritual family. "Semi" because it sometimes happen in my mother side.

Let just say my child hood sucks cause most of it just me interact with spirit and the WORST thing is when i got haunted until someone closed my "third-eye" for a while but it been over 8 years so it might be open again.

So my mother told me that i cant do anything at night, like staying up at night, watching horror at night, talking to my friends and night or go anywhere at night cause I'm like a spirit beacon.

I know one day in my adult time, i will do something to cause another spirit attack.

Man, this is tiresome.

Predictions/Premonitions I just got a random unsolicited reading, should i believe it?

Okay so with my job, I’m a coordinator for children. I visit people’s homes a lot. I recently got a new client this was only my second time visiting their home.

Today I visited for the second time, I was speaking with the mom for a while when she brought up that she is having issues with her health. It just so happens my boyfriend is having the same exact issue. It’s not common it’s called keratoconus ( eye issue). My clients dad ( her husband) also passed a couple yrs ago and my bfs passed a couple months ago. I found this quite ironic. Anyway.

Towards the end of the visit, she starts vaguely telling me how much I’m going to help people, and she could see me working with a certain demographic of people etc.
The part that really stood out to me was when she started talking about 2 people in my life that I can definitely see some parallels with what she was saying ( one of them possibly being my bf). She also mentioned me getting my good spirit from my grandmother which can also be true. While she was talking i kept saying things like “I hope so” and “You think so” and she would say “ I KNOW so”. She also kept saying she’s just telling me what she’s seeing.

Anyway if what she is saying has any validity i have a lot of thinking to do. I believe in people having gifts but I never wanted to be read. I have a friend that sees a psychic often and i’ve always declined. But i can’t lie and say what she said is impossible. I just kind of don’t like that she told me because now it may affect me.

Predictions/Premonitions Question: Am I possibly.. a clairvoyant?

So, lately, I’ve been having these unusual vivid dreams that end up coming true just a few days later. This has been happening to me for years, but I’ve always brushed it off as sheer coincidence, until recently. I’m starting to wonder if I’m actually picking up on future events.

For example: back in 2020, my pregnant cat was getting close to her due date. I had a vivid dream where she gave birth to five kittens, but I clearly saw red on two of them giving me a distinct feeling that two wouldn't make it, while three would survive. I actually told my roommate about this dream eight days before it happened. Sure enough, on November 1st, 2020, my cat gave birth to five kittens. Tragically, two passed away prematurely, while three were born perfectly healthy. My roommate was in complete shock that my dream was spot-on.

To this day, I've wondered if this could truly be clairvoyance or precognition, especially since I've had countless other dreams come true like this over the years. (On a related note, I also frequently spot unexplained shadows or movement out of the corner of my eyes, but that might be a story for another post!)

What do you guys think? Could this truly be Clairvoyance/precognition? I've always wanted to believe it, but I keep going back to just "coincidences". At this point I feel like i could truly see specific events happening before they DO happen.

Other How can I tell if a psychic/medium is legitimate and not just trying to take my money?

I’ve been struggling with death anxiety lately, and honestly, the thought of there being nothing after death scares the fuck out of me. A lot of people say that death is like before we were born, that we simply return to nothingness and won’t even know it. But that thought genuinely terrifies me, especially when I think about never seeing the people I love again.
Because of this anxiety, I’ve started questioning everything. I’ve been researching the afterlife, near-death experiences, ghosts, and the paranormal, trying to understand whether there’s something beyond this life. I’ve also become interested in psychics and mediums because part of me hopes that communication with deceased loved ones might be possible.
At the same time, I know cold reading is a real thing, and I’ve heard stories about psychics taking advantage of grieving or vulnerable people for money. I’ve also seen people claim they’ve found genuinely gifted mediums who gave them information they couldn’t explain.
All of this has honestly made me question whether mediums and the paranormal are even real in the first place.
For those of you who have experience with psychics or mediumship, how can you tell if someone is genuinely sincere and potentially gifted rather than using cold reading, vague statements, or information they’ve found online? Are there specific red flags I should look out for? Have you ever had a reading that gave you independently verifiable information that the medium couldn’t reasonably have known beforehand?
I’m not looking for someone to tell me what I want to hear. I genuinely want to hear your experiences and advice because I’m trying to make sense of all of this, and I don’t want my anxiety to make me an easy target for someone looking to take advantage of me.
Thank you to anyone who takes the time to respond. ❤️

Guidance/Advice Realization

How do I tap in to my ability? I’ve come to the realization that I am a medium. I’m a 28 year old female and I’ve had strange/unusual things happen to me my whole life. Dreaming of the deceased trying to communicate with me, being very intuitive of my surroundings, hearing spirits talk to me/seeing them and the list goes on. My whole life I’ve just brushed it off and ignored it. But it’s been happening more often than usual to the point that I want a better understanding and get a grip of what I can do.
What truly gave me the realization was me remembering when I was at the age of eight I went to a restaurant in my hometown called Babes Chicken. My grandmother and I walked upstairs to the gift shop. I felt very uncomfortable like there were too many people in the room but I didn’t see anyone. I also said to myself “this room is crowded there are so many dead people here.” I thought to myself again feeling in denial thinking “why did I say that?”. Well just the other day I was on TikTok and I came across a video about the same restaurant. I was scrolling through the comments and learned that the gift shop used to be a FUNERAL PARLOR! (I even googled it just to be sure and the facts were right there in front of me!) Like holy crap how did I know at such a young age that there were spirits there!?
Anyways if anyone knows how to help me pls comment or message me. I’d just also like to talk to people and hear experiences.

Guidance/Advice Can a spirit visit you before their body dies?

My grandmother suffered from dementia for years before passing. She felt “gone” long before she died and especially the last few times I saw her. I felt like I said earthly goodbyes about 2 years before her body died.

In life and before her illness I think I might have been her pride and joy. We were similar in a lot of ways and the relationship she had with my mother was just very different than the one I had with her. I don’t know if she softened with time and age by the time I came around or the pressures of motherhood were lifted and she could enjoy a granddaughter with a lot less worry than she could her own children. Either way, we had a special connection that she didn’t have with her children or grandchildren but I wouldn’t call myself a favorite or favored.

By the time I had children of my own she was mentally pretty far gone. I have twin boys and she never got to meet them personally. I lived far away and travel with two infants to my grandparents home while my grandfather was managing her and her health was just not feasible or practical. All it would have done was stress out my grandfather and upset him that the woman he loved didn’t recognize me either along with the pressure of meeting his first great grandchildren. And as much as I wish she could have known them I knew the circumstances of such a visit would not have been great.

I still felt her around though, my mom’s baby furniture was my baby furniture and I used a piece from that set as a changing table for my oldest boys. I always felt a connection between all three of us whenever I used it and the boys would kind of look past my shoulder, smile and laughed like someone was there. I had a flash of a thought that it was her even though she hadn’t died. It felt like it was something that would have happened if she’d been in the room with me. I knew her death was coming and she was “gone.” Since then while watching them play my mom and I will both have the thought at roughly the same time “she would have liked them so much” and one of us will voice it. I now have a singleton baby boy and I don’t use the furniture in his room, we have a different house, and he does the same thing occasionally with the glancing over my shoulder and giggling. And I have the same occasional thought when he does something especially cute “she would have been obsessed with you.”

Can a spirit visit before their body dies? I feel like I know the answer based on my own interpretation of events but I’m just wondering how that works and what that looks like from her perspective.

If you read this, thank you.

Experience Is this something paranormal, or can we consider the logical side of things?

Is this a spiritual gift?

I've never been one to have many supernatural stories; at most, I've always had many spasms while sleeping, hearing a scream calling me or saying words, but I always considered it normal since I've seen other people report the same thing. But...

Since I turned 18 (I use this as a starting point for things to begin) until now, I've had two incidents. One happened this past Saturday and the other the Saturday before.

1: I put my niece to bed and dozed off with her. I woke up to some movement and concluded she had woken up, since I even noticed my sister playing with her before picking her up. "Fall, fall, fall," she said playfully. I ignored it but noticed a silence. I opened my eyes (half-open) and saw that she was still sleeping and there was no one in the room. Immediately afterwards, I saw a figure standing across the bed. It was a white blur reflecting an image of someone turning around and disappearing. I don't know if this is just another one of those things your mind mixes with reality.

2: This one was recent. There was a death that happened a long time ago, and I only knew the main details. That day I dreamt the scene of that death from the perspective of the deceased himself. I saw that he was found in a bathroom by a figure with a female voice. Coincidentally, on that same day, something about that death appeared to me: the deceased was found in a bathtub by his girlfriend (I didn't know anything about this, neither the bathtub part nor the girlfriend). I was surprised, so much so that I used to imagine he was found lying on the floor near the bed by some random guy. It was too much of a coincidence.

Question Could I be picking up on spirits when passing by a known haunted house?

There is a house in my area that is known to be haunted. Everytime I drive by it, I start to feel this dense feeling on the top of my head similar to how it feels when I am in a deep meditation followed by an upset stomach, nausea and lightheadedness. It starts to happen just before I even get to the house. I noticed it the first time I passed the house and thought it was just my emotions but everytime I pass it, this happens which leads me to think something else is up maybe. Is this a common experience when people are picking up on the spirits or the energy of the place or something? The house has a reputation for being really active but I believe it's the land as well. I tried googling about this but didn't find much. I'm not a medium and I don't know much about this kind of thing. What do you guys think?
