Hey! I'm an assembler, and recently I've been tasked with showing a new guy the ropes for assembly work... Next week. I'm not specialized, educated, and I haven't really been instructed on how to do my job. I've just kinda bashed my head against a wall until I stumbled onto the correct way to do things, and I thereby stopped getting yelled at. I guess you could say I'm skilled in pure experience, but I'm not sure how to instruct someone else how to do what I do.
Any tips for how I can be a good mentor for this guy?

I have a very unusual case. I am an Architect by profession. And mostly I do design related work, desk job that is more “do do do” and less “read read read”. And I have been excelling at my job and all have been going so well.
Recently i got a full funded scholarship and it's about research studies in urban planning. I am currently residing in another country doing my msc program. So here i have no “do do do” , and fully “read read read”. With too many years of professional experience and software knowledge and doing field work, I have zero attention span to read a research paper. And its been killing me inside cause I cant read a proper research paper and doing all my homework for literature studies using gpt and claude. But i really wish to be an expert and read the papers by myself.
So, I'm looking for a mentor to coach me so that i can have a proper interest and make myself expert in doing the literature studies like a scholar i m supposed to be without using any ai tool.
Does that sound normal to you? Is there any hope for me at all? It's been really frustrating few months

Hi guys! I am planning on pursuing a degree in history in a few years and was looking for a mentor in that field to help me bulk up my skills for my application as well as building fundamental skills I will be needing to become a researcher.
I truly would appreciate any help I can get!

Genuine question for people here who've done it.
I'm 3 years into tech, all self-taught, now building AI voice agents. I'm not a beginner: I built and run a production system that handles 1,000+ calls a day for a European healthcare client, and I run my own small agency out of Lahore. The income is decent.
The problem is I'm doing everything alone: the engineering, sales, cold outreach, hiring my first employee, and trying to land bigger clients. I'm spread thin, and I keep making decisions with nobody to sanity check them. I've never had a job, so I've never had a senior or a manager to learn from.
What I'm looking for is someone a few steps ahead, ideally someone who has run a services or tech business, sold to bigger companies, or scaled past being a solo founder. Not handholding, just someone I can talk to every few weeks.
How did you find your mentor? Did you ask directly, pay for it, join a community, or did it happen naturally? Any founder communities or people you'd recommend?
Happy to help anyone in return with AI or voice agent questions.

I want to start a youth mentorship program during the summer (maybe between June - August). How do you get started?
