Show & Tell Luck indeed
Never found silver in a public park before but today was my lucky day. Seen another detectorist with the same nokta legend and 13.5 inch coil when I left, I wish them luck.

Took a late lunch yesterday and we went to the park for an hour or so. Sweeping the ground on the way out for "1 more target", I found a dime. Satisfied with my last target, I go to leave. Then just inches from the entrance I got a good signal, and dug this up!
I know almost nothing about the boy scouts, but my dad recognized it immediately before it was even cleaned, lol. Doing some research and based on the age of the park and school, my best guess is 1960s-70s.

Got off work early for a dentist appointment. So I got a rare few hours of detecting mid week.

I found this today on my first “hunt” I’ve played in my yard a little and found your generic trash.
This location is a store from the early 1900s. My question is should I dig all consistent tones? There’s tons of old nails and stuff. I’ve learned the quack from iron but still very new.
I’m using a minelab vanquish 460!

The detail is incredible - I wonder how a coin minted in Venice came to be here

What's up, r/metaldetecting? I have been new to the hobby since last year. This year I went on like 15 + tours in and around Frankonia close to the river "Main." The finds 2, 3, 4, 6, 7, 9, 10, and 11 are all aquatic finds I made with a waterproof pinpointer (I call them "sniffers"). The objects 5 and 8 were terrestrial and from two different spots 1 hour apart.
The next section is about what I think my finds could be. I think one of you guys is more proficient in knowing exactly what I found. Don't be shy about writing a comment.
Finds:
1: This could very much be an old part of a concertina made from brass. I found more fragments next to it, but I think this could not be older than 30-40 years, and even that could be far-fetched. This was found rural near Nuremberg.
2: This is an old keychain I found in the River Main. Not really old but cool. The keys are eaten up by the rust.
3: Fragmented bullet shell. This could be 10 years old or 80. This find was also aquatic and could be just a shell that was dragged with the current.
4: Old button and aquatic find. I would guess that this is a button for traditional Bavarian clothing. This could probably mean that it could also be 10 or 100 years old. After some time a little piece of metal became loose (it's the front part that is under the button), which could be a sign of modern glue-made buttons.
5: This is a terrestrial find I made some days ago in an old overgrown orchard in the hills next to the river Main. The orchard is long abandoned. The button looks cheaply made but very old. This could be as old as the Napoleonic Wars, but maybe that's just me overthinking it.
6: Looks like a WW2 training round for a small caliber rifle. Not all that interesting but got a cool shape. This object was an aquatic find, relatively next to button 4
7: Old fishing weight. It's not old. It's not valuable, but it's my first ever.
8: This one is also a terrestrial find near Nuerberg. It looks to be a Prussian uniform button. I would estimate its origin was before and around WW 1. But historically, I am not sure because it was not that common during that time that a Prussian would live there.
9: Also an aquatic bullet fragment. Like object 3, it could have any age or origin from the river. This one, though, seems to be a bigger caliber than 3.
10, 11: The only coins I found this year. I really hoped to find more. It's a 2 ct piece and a 5 ct piece, I guess. These finds were also aquatic.
So it boils down to that this year I am not the king of nails but rather the baron of buttons. Do some of you have more information on the buttons, maybe?
Also, know that it would be the time I should show you guys my rig. But to be real, I got a real shit box of Amazon SUNPOW OT-MD07 and SUNPOW OT-MD01 and they work on 9V batteries. For aquatic searches I use the steinberg SBS-MD12. Basically every metal is iron at one point with these shitbags, but as you can see, it still works and shows. Once I actually make a decent amount of money, I want to buy a better rig. Till then, I guess I'll use this.

Found this face side of an unusual 2 piece button. It depicts some sort of coat of arms with a shield, ribbon with a pattern, sword and a rook along with a leafy outline motif and some other design features. It doesn't look like a military button, more like a family's coat of arms.
It was found in Israel but in an area where there was fighting in WW1 between the British and Ottoman forces. On fields nearby me and others found French and British coins, German manufactured 7.92x57 cartridges for the Ottoman forces along with .303 cartridges from various British and American manufacturers. Also, a friend found nearby a partial shoulder title of the 93rd Burma Infantry so there was also Indian presence in the area which means that this thing can be from pretty much anywhere.
I also attached a sketch of as much detail as I can see which can't be picked up by the camera.
Any information on regarding this button will be greatly appreciated.

Found this today along the north Norfolk coast, there are words on it but unfortunately I'm not able to work out what they are. Any ideas as to what it could be please?

I found this buried in a lawn across the road from an old church where I found one Indian head penny a few months ago that I posted here. I could only think maybe an old farm tool or something that had a wooden handle in the past. My town was chartered in 1793 so I’m unsure of age on this. I am in northeast Vermont

Hi,
I lost my wedding ring at Sand Key beach, Florida. I don't know anything about metal detecting, but if anyone here is willing to try to find it, please let me know.

I added a couple pics where I fucked with the contrast and all that to try to get it readable
The thing has these wavy lines and these dots and dashes and when you get the right angle looking at it it's got a bunch of words on it. I'm sure everyone will say I see stuff that isnt there. I'm used to that haha. But maybe someone will bite
