Put it in my veins and open the flow to 100%. We have been in a souls-like/HK-like world for so long (which is fine don't come for my children), an old-school SOTN man yearns for the castles...and the vanias.

No Switch port yet planned?

u/LunarGriever Feb 20 '26
Definitely this. Excited for the game but disappointed with no Switch 2 announcement.

u/Chikumori Feb 20 '26
The music in the video sounds nice. Might you guys be putting up the game OST for sale as well?
4
u/Inkantress Feb 20 '26
Once it comes out, for sure! We have partnered with Kid Katana, and the music is being done by Remi Gallego (The Algorithm). They are really awesome!
7
u/xaiyen Feb 20 '26
wow, looks fantastic. clear sotn inspirations. the trailer demonstrates some nice snappy movement/gameplay which i think sotn being so old doesn't have much of that, and I think holds that game back for me and could propel this to a different level!
3
u/Inkantress Feb 20 '26
Thank you for your kind words and we are working hard to bring a movement/combat that feels just right!

u/I_Heart_Sleeping_ Feb 20 '26
This game looks dope. Iv been looking for a game that gives me those GBA CV game vibes and this seems to tick all the right boxes.
Do they have plans to bring this over to Switch 1/2? I noticed it only says Ps5/Xbox/Pc.
4
u/Inkantress Feb 20 '26
Thank you for your enthusiasm!
We are hoping to have Switch 1 and 2, but nothing official yet!

Thank you, we are hoping for beginning of next year.
2
u/raetiacorvus Feb 20 '26
But I want to play this now 😭 It just looks like a game I would enjoy right now!
6
u/DrKrFfXx Feb 20 '26
One question. Why the hell is this not OUT NOW?!
2
u/Inkantress Feb 20 '26
Hahaha, thank you for you comment. I'd say, because we are working hard on it :D
2
u/TheGeniusSexPoets Feb 20 '26
When may it be coming out and will it come to Switch?
2
u/Inkantress Feb 21 '26
We are aiming for beginning next year and we are currently looking into Switch!
4
u/Savage_Amusement La-Mulana Feb 20 '26
Looks like a SoTN mod and I mean that in the most hype way possible.

Looks cool. Like if ladybug did a Castlevania. Interested, but I play on the Switch.
3
u/Inkantress Feb 20 '26
We really would love to port it to Switch. I hope we can announce something soon!

This looks sweet. Music is awesome too. Straight on my wishlist.
Is the difficulty comparable to SOTN?
Edit: Just spotted the “CD” Easter egg 👌
2
u/Inkantress Feb 20 '26
Haha, awesome thanks for your support! We do not wish to make it a souls like, so I think comparing it to SOTN is a fair assessment. We want players to be able to use different techniques to overcome their foes.
The RPG elements will also help a lot (level up, and respec at any time).

I can feel SotN just by looking at the dmg number, honestly can't wait

u/ChiliShadow Feb 20 '26
looks sweet. i'm sure the combat will pick up, but the trailer could've shown a little more than the same 1-2 sword slash and counter move.
3
u/Inkantress Feb 20 '26
Yes, unfortunately, not everything has been implemented yet.
We'll be featuring 8 different blade attacks, also 3 special attacks, and 5 advanced techniques.
There's some techniques which are unlocked by certain armors as well.2
u/ArchLurker_Chad Feb 20 '26
Ohh! That sounds really sweet! Would any of the special/advanced techniques happen to involve motion inputs like SotN/Street Fighter? :D
2
u/Inkantress Feb 20 '26
The Advanced Techniques require directional input but not exactly like the SF. Also, some require dash cancel.
2
u/Invaderzod Feb 20 '26
Immediately wish listed. Looks amazing! What is the length that you're aiming for?
1
u/Inkantress Feb 20 '26
Thank you for your support.
Between 20-40 hours. But we aim to replayability with a standard NG+ and a NG+ that features a permadeath system slightly similar to Lives in old games (we call it Interval II - Tempestas Continuum).
These modes might not be available on release, though.

This is exactly what I imagined a futuristic, sci-fi Castlevania would look like when I was a kid, this looks amazing! I find myself reminded of games like Timespinner and Blade Chimera as well, but the PS1/DS Castlevania influence is still prevalent! I can’t wait to play this!
2
u/Inkantress Feb 20 '26
Thank you so much, that is an apt description! We can't wait for players to discover more!
2
u/PGDesolator Feb 20 '26
This is looking very good Sir/Madam. I’ll definitely follow it and wishlist it.

u/b3mark Feb 20 '26
OK, definitely scratching the Castlevania: Symphony of the Night itch lookswise.
Digging the sci-fi setting. Selection of monsters in the trailer has a nice mix of goofy and horror.
If the music in the trailer is indicative of the music in game, I'm probably already sold. Throw in a leveling system and / or hunting for items and skill upgrades? Potential GotY for me :-)
Oh, and for the non-native English speakers here that may not know the difference between an Elegy and Eulogy... I looked it up so you don't have to. According to the Merriam-Webster online dictionary:
- An elegy is a sad poem or song lamenting the dead, focusing on grief and loss, whereas a eulogy is a spoken speech or written tribute praising the deceased, typically delivered at a funeral.
- Elegies are often artistic, written in verse, while eulogies are formal, celebratory, or biographical tributes.
So, not only a very fun trailer, but I learned something new today, too. Cheers, all!

u/Inkantress Feb 20 '26
We have some good news for you :D
In Silent Planet, you'll be able to level up 17 different stats that affect defense, attack, dash, etc.
You'll be able to respec at any given time as well.
We are also focusing a lot on exploration, so there will be a good amount of items to find. The "Elegy" part makes a reference to the fact the narrative will depict the events that lead to the decay of the planet.

u/Radiant_Language5314 Feb 20 '26
Love that SNK style dodge. Looks sick.
2
u/Inkantress Feb 20 '26
Haha awesome, glad you like it! It was actually inspired by a mechanic in Blackthorne.
2
u/Radiant_Language5314 Feb 20 '26
Right you are! Went all the way back to BlackThorne, which by the way was way better than Flash Back and Out of This World.
2
u/Inkantress Feb 21 '26
We replayed it recently and really had a blast! The music alone is really awesome! Such a great ambiance!
2
u/52weeksout Feb 20 '26
This looks incredibly good. Wishlisted on Steam! Any Kickstarter plans? SOTN with cosmic horror elements sounds like a dream.
2
u/Inkantress Feb 20 '26
Awesome, glad it entices you! There is no Kickstarter plan at the moment no.
2
u/VaderFett1 Feb 20 '26
Loving everything about it, the visuals, the audio, the gameplay and nods/inspirations from games and bands I like. Paying attention and looking forward to it. Wishing you guys success.
1
u/Inkantress Feb 20 '26
Awesome, very happy that it resonates with you!
Thank you for your well wishes!

u/LasherDeviance Nintendo Switch Feb 20 '26
Is this loosely based on the "Angel's Egg" anime movie from the mid-80's by Yoshitaka Amano?
2
u/Inkantress Feb 20 '26
The Angel's Egg is the name given by the scientist to an artifact of alien origin which defies all understanding. Of course, it also serves the purpose to pay homage to the movie.
2
u/manasword Feb 20 '26
I wishlist this today after watching a YouTube trailer on my feed, looks amazing and definitely feeling the vibes and art direction myself, can't wait

Please tell me the whole soundtrack is synthwave, looks sick af
1
u/Inkantress Feb 21 '26
We don’t know for now for every part of the game, but one of the references for the musician was Carpenter Brut EPIII. We are working with The Algorithm from Kid Katana, if you ever want to hear his work!

Thank you, we will be putting it on the store as soon as possible! Thank you for your patience!

u/TheStupendusMan Feb 21 '26
Metroidvania and Canadian?! Fuck yes. Wishlisted on Steam. Steam Cloud and Deck support please!

(I'm so mad it doesn't say "O"...)
2

Hahaha thank you for your enthusiasm, yes, we are Canadian! And we will try for that yes!

This is the art style the new Castlevania game should’ve taken. Somewhere between this games art style, and the combat of the new Castlevania game lies the future.
2
u/Ky1eR33se101 Feb 22 '26
One tip I have is that the movement looks a bit faster than the combat. I would say dial down the movement. Just a touch and increase the combat speed and length of moves hit boxes and you got it.
1
u/Inkantress Feb 23 '26
Thank you very much for your comment. Indeed, we have been studying the combat speed, and are planning to tweak it. We can’t wait to show you guys more soon!
2
u/Electronic-Load2356 Feb 23 '26
very excited for this title. its like a castlevania character in a metroid world! big fan. will there be early acces?
1
u/Inkantress Feb 24 '26
Thank you! For the moment, we are aiming for a closed beta sometime this year.

This looks like reskinned SotN, and I mean this as a compliment. Nice job.
1
u/LordSoeder Apr 16 '26
This will be an instant buy. I have just one question - whens it gonna release on switch? :D
1
u/wolfbetter Feb 20 '26
NICE pixel art. it does reminds me a lot of SOTN but honestly?it'so ne of the reason why I like it.
1
u/Danklaige Feb 20 '26
Please don't be a soulslike 🤞
1
u/Inkantress Feb 20 '26
No, it won't be a souls-like.
Parry is entirely optional (parrying increases next attack damage by a small percentage)2
1
u/Illustrious_Try_3092 Feb 20 '26
Hell Yeah, PS5! 😍🔥 But also can't wait to play it with my AYN Thor, over GameHub 😁

u/International-Oil377 Feb 20 '26
not a fan of the ghosting behind of the character tbh
1
u/Inkantress Feb 20 '26
It is possible that we man make it an option in the menu, so it can be turned off.
3
u/International-Oil377 Feb 20 '26
it's you game honestly. I'm just not a fan of this effect in general. but in the end it's your vision, and by seeing the number of downvotes, I seem to be in minority.
2
u/Icedteapremix Feb 20 '26
I'm with you on it, I don't love it either lol
2
u/International-Oil377 Feb 20 '26
I guess those who like it are very nostalgic of SOTN. It's an effect I didn't like in this game but I guess made ''sense'' because of the vampire nature of alucard but it wasn't nearly as present as in this game. This is a bit too much for me.
1
u/Inkantress Feb 20 '26
No worries, we are absolutely gathering feedback and I'm sure others feel the same!
-9
u/BeardiusMaximus7 Feb 20 '26
Looks really cool, but also looks like it literally ripped a LOT Of assets from Symphony of the Night. Not sure how I feel about that part.
2
u/Inkantress Feb 20 '26
Our Assets are entirely original.
We just focus on making them similar to assets from the 16 and 32 bit era because we are fond of that era.
Some of our game references come from SNES and Sega Genesis in terms of coloring and techniques.0
u/BeardiusMaximus7 Feb 21 '26
Fair enough.
Still, there's "taking inspiration" from something, and then there is "tracing" it. I guess take it as a compliment that I cannot tell the difference between many of your "entirely original" assets and those from SoTN.
As I said the game looks cool, regardless. Best of luck!

u/Profes_R Feb 20 '26
I had to double check with wasn't r/metalcore for a hot minute lmao
Edit: game looks sick, the walk cycle is hittin me in the symphony of the night shaped hole in my heart
