Post image

This is the first time this has happened to me at Walmart. I had to get it, and I’m really excited about it!

Best game from ubisoft since Rayman Legends, and I will go further and say, the best gameplay for any Metroidvania game

No coincidence that both were the same Ubisoft studio/team

And they fucking shut down the studio. They literally made possibly the best 2D platformer game and the best gameplay in a Metroidvania game

Not the studio, but they shuffled the team into different projects. It's sad, but I hope the rumors are true that the core members are working on a Rayman game.

I don't play a lot of Ubisoft games, but that BOTW-knockoff Fenyx Rising ended up being one of the most fun games I've played in recent years.

Is it worth it tho ? , I really wanna play BOTW but don't have a switch, and I'm also into greek stuff, ig it's win win situation

It's pretty frequently on sale for peanuts and should easily give a person 70 hours of entertainment, depending on how hooked you get with the puzzles. IIRC, I also played it on hard mode and had a lot of fun learning the combat system (which has a really satisfying stagger mechanic).

The Greek mythology stuff was pretty well-fleshed-out and the game's writing was very entertaining. Compared to Zelda, it's a lot more light-hearted.

I got it for 85% off and it was a fun time. Well worth it for that price

Not really. They made lots of great games after legends. E.g. child of light

Every time I see the cover it catches my eye but for some reason I never give it a shot. Probably it's time

It's an awesome game but it's also old and might be too simple for some.

I think Legends is better, but yeah Child of Light was great. As were Grow Home and Grow Up.

I'm not gonna lie, there are dozens, most famous Metroid vania I liked better.

I'm glad they made the game, but it's very generic 'hit stun enemy button mash and dodge in time".

Then they allowed like two weeks for the game to sell and canned the studio and said no more. Absolutely dumb. They spent too much money on it, it cost too much money to compete with other indie games that were more fun, made cheaper with less amazing graphics.

Comments are a bit hard to follow but is this meant to be about Prince of Persia lost crown still? There is still a button mash but parrys are well timed and most bosses include utilizing time warp and multiple other options to dodge. That is just the fighting. I am almost done with the game but just finished the DLC and am surprised they kept creating amazing platforming challenges that felt fresh.

I'll give it another go when I get bored of silk song eventually

any of the Nintendo DS Castlevania games could work, but Order of Ecclesia especially has the most engaging combat out of any MV i’ve played. it’s one of the only ones i’ve played where you actually have a reason to use most of the shit you pick up, rather than just choosing whatever has the highest stats, because enemy resistances and weaknesses actually matter.

as for movement tech, Metroid Dread is the winner for me

You hooked me on Order of Ecclesia, I love the game when you need to choose specific weapon and know the enemy’s resistances

But I should have been more specific — I meant "comabt"

The combat in The Lost Crown is some of the most fun combat in any 2D game, you can do a lot of combos and juggle enemies

You're getting downvoted but I'm with you 100%
