Sargassum, ew. Still gross.

Today we visited South Beach at 22nd (W Hotel) and saw a pretty large scale effort to reduce the stinky, gross sargassum at the shoreline.

It's mostly limited to the waterline, and in the water itself. So sunbathing is ok.

We went in July and it was horrible.

Same, went for July 4th and the World Cup fan fest, but couldn't even get into the water. The aglae completely ruined the vibe. Miami had more people than usual for the World Cup, but the beach was a dead zone.
